I think Switch DID BETTER with certain indie games that would end up going somewhat VIRAL in their POPULARITY but I THINK that may no longer be the case because the Switch is no longer the “newest freshest console” on the market and its eShop is now absolutely FILLED TO THE BRIM with shovelware and crap (whereas BEFORE, indies seemed to do REALLY WELL on the Switch because they’d have the SPOTLIGHT ON THEM in the eShop for weeks or months at a time since the LIBRARY wasn’t NEARLY AS ROBUST yet). To be COMPLETELY FAIR; I’m not trying to pick on the Switch SPECIFICALLY (hell, I love mine even though it’s beaten half to death) because ALL the online marketplaces for the various platforms have a metric ton of SHOVELWARE and CHEAP CRAPPY GAMES on them (in fact, since the PS5 launched, there’s been a WEIRD resurgence I’ve noticed on the PS Store with a specific indie publisher putting out dozens of $0.25 to $1.99 games each month to capitalize on the “NEWEST RELEASES” tab).

This is kinda missleading. Sea of Theives is selling well, Pentiment is not. Hi Fi is sorta selling well, at 17th place pre order. Pre orders are a small fraction of actual sales & it doesnt necessarily mean momentum will continue. And if it does continue, expect Phil to see dollar signs & port another 4 exclusives. Not much incentive to buy an xbox.
The multiplatform pipeline is already set up lol, the next four games getting ported are Hellblade 2, Starfield, Flight Sim, and Avowed. Inb4 “PoRt BeGgInG!” I’m not going to buy them, just going to rub it in. 😂

Make sense. They are all about game pass. So, streaming on a dongo is the most economical route. The future xbox Console is going to be a controller that has the dongo inside the controller, so you have to take out the dongo hdmi to put the batteries in the controller. But Microsoft, despite their many issues for years, are treated with some element of leniency unless they make their actions too obvious in the media.

This is kinda missleading. Sea of Theives is selling well, Pentiment is not. Hi Fi is sorta selling well, at 17th place pre order. Pre orders are a small fraction of actual sales & it doesnt necessarily mean momentum will continue. And if it does continue, expect Phil to see dollar signs & port another 4 exclusives. Not much incentive to buy an xbox.
The multiplatform pipeline is already set up lol, the next four games getting ported are Hellblade 2, Starfield, Flight Sim, and Avowed.
