    I wear a large size. My noggin has always been larger and you can't diet that away. Unfortuneatly, I don't have as many choices as others. So many cute styles that are not made in my size.

    This is by far, for me, one powerful video! I’ve been trying for YEARS to get wigs to work for me! It’s always something, you know? And yes, I ALWAYS thought it was entirely my fault! Completely. I’m most comfortable in large wigs (lucky I bought one because my circumference indicated average size). People I know are huggers…and wigs ride up enough to fall completely off in public if I don’t stiffen up. I’m 5’2”, round face, short neck and odd measurements. From ear to ear over the top of my head I’m big. 😂 YOU, my new fav, are the first to address this! Immediately liked ✅ and subscribed ❤. I’m all yours . Thank from the bottom of my heart.

    One of the best videos I have seen on wigs not fitting properly. This made me understand why I have been so frustrated with wigs. Sadly, many people cannot make sewing adjustments to their wigs; they just don't have the ability. If they are elderly, they may not have the dexterity, either. Wigs that you need to get adjusted at a wig shop can become really cost prohibitive. Costs are usually $50 and up (more up, though) and can make wig wearing extremely expensive. If you go to a wig shop, the cost for wigs are much higher, then add paying for adjustments and it can price many people out of wig wearing. The other sad thing is if you wear a wig everyday; it very quickly starts to show wear and tear. The fibers start to wear and you have a wig that you are embarrassed to wear. Many wig companies do not want to broadcast these issues with wigs.
    Another factor with wigs displayed by the on line wig companies is that they have real wig stylist styling these wigs. This may include trimming, steaming, making adjustments and styling. Then the models they use are really attractive and most often have blue eyes. I don't know why; but, blue eyes with beautifully styled makeup make these wigs pop, also. It's no wonder we are disappointed when we buy wigs from online wig companies.
    Thanks for this video, it was an important one.

    Hello, and thank you for going the extra step to help other women who puzzle over wigs and styles. Your presentations are just spot on and so humanly attainable. If I could only have all the money back from all the bad wigs I have purchased in the past and still do occasionally. Keep doing your presentations, they are so professional and immensely helpful.

    Your knowledge is amazing!!!! And VERY encouraging!!!!! I have felt like such a loser and deeply disappointed, that my mere words aren't enough to express my true sadness. I am 65 years old, with thinning hair. I love my platinum/grey shade, my hair is fine, naturally curly and wavy. i recently had my hairdresser shape my hair into a pixie, to attempt wig wearing one more time. Just this evening i stumbled upon your channel. I subscribed and plan to tune in to learn from you! Thank you for making yourself available.

    Christine I just found your channel and have watched all your videos. Such great information and tips. I'm going to my wig closet and starting with the more affordable I'm going to adjust them for me then onto the more expensive wigs. I keep buying wigs but don't wear them because they are not right. Now I know how to remedy the issues and can start wearing all of them besides the perfect out of the box 2. And....where are you. It's been a year since your last post. I truly hope all is well. I finally find 2 wig channels that I find super useful and helpful and both have stopped posting, the other being Daily Dazzle with Dawn. Valerie

    Thanks for this brilliant video, Christine. Your videos are really helping & inspiring me. I've been wearing wigs for about 5 years now. I spent so much money on wigs... Thinking they were "hopeless". Thanks to your videos. I'm going to bravely attempt altering some of them. Just loving your "down to earth" approach. Comfort & fit are paramount. As you know, wig wearing involves a different attitude. Your example of the "out of the box" horrors has been my story, too.

    Wish I had known this a few years ago, great tips! (I watched your video "Adding Height to the Crown" & ended up learning from another TH-cam video how to cut out wefting to make the crown fit. Doing so also made it sit properly over my glasses, which had been hurting my ears. Win/win, feels comfortable now. Thanks so much, your information really helped.)

    I ordered a wig from Minewig ($300.) and it didn't look like the wig on the model. It had nothing to do with what it looked like on my head. It was a joke. It was horrible. And, Minewig refused a return. They finally agreed and said I had to ship it to China and I was responsible for that cost. The wig was never delivered. But, now I have a wig that was $90. and I think a part of the problem is the size. I have a petite head. It also has too much hair on the sides (not the back). So, thank you for this video!

    Absolutely! We ALL have varied measurements/bone structure, head height, neck length, that can change w/weight n age, make wigs look far different on every wearer. Knowledge is key. Knowing hair lengths that flatter our own measurements is the secret to happy wig buying. That +a round hot air brush styler w/cold-shot to lock in the style.

    Just an observation on my part. I only have one wig and when I got it of course it didn't look like the model picture. I think a lot of women don't know that you have to style your wig just like you would your own hair. If push comes to shove you can always print out a picture and take it and your wig to a hairdressers and they will style it for you.

    I HATE when they cant be consistent with colour. My EW Touch is much more pink and more curled than others. Understand we have to try and fail and try and love, but we cant comb them or anything if we want to return it. So we dont always know it CAN be good. I struggled with my Touch for 1 month before it finally decided to play ball :D My first Jackson Noriko was horrible, but my 2 last ones are my favs

      It's Silky Sand. I did have to tone it using the purple ink method ( th-cam.com/video/0YOulQSYLn4/w-d-xo.html ) because it was a little too yellow, so the color you see is after I toned it, but it is a lovely blond now.😍

  • @angelac2243
    @angelac2243 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Since you asked 😉. Im literally on the verge of tears. I DO feel like the only one in the world who obviously can't wear wigs. I've spent thousands of dollars in only about 3 months on all the different brands and sizes. I get my hopes up and each each time its the same thing. There seems to be an answer or video about every question/issue, but mine. I am a 23 circumference but a large is too big. An average is sometimes ok depending on brand, EXCEPT the problem is the hairline on either side of my face. (like temple down to ear) The wigs won't reach it. Its sometimes an inch short of reaching my hairline. ANY advice is very appreciated. By the way...you're gorgeous! Thanks

    • @SuperMsPharmacy
      @SuperMsPharmacy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your wig doesn't always fully hide your hairline. But it sounds like you need a large cap and then alter it to be smaller as needed. It's easier to make a wig cap smaller than it is to make one larger. But you can also try stretching your smaller wigs.
