    Have you used Got2Be Ultra Glued? What do you use to secure your wigs?

    I got some of this gel and tried it…… yes it works amazingly well. I’ve tried lots of wig grips etc without much success, and I’ve tried It Stays which is quite good, but the winner by a mile is definitely this Got to be Glued. I am now a confident wig wearer….. thank you so much

    I am so glad to have found you!! I'm 69 yrs. old (feel like 99) and my hair is starting to thin out badly. I had a wig that I bought about 12 years ago that I only wore for special occasions and now, I'm thinking I need to wear it more often, BUT, I think it's too thick for my age... maybe it seems that way because of how thin my hair has become. Anyway, I wanted to thank you for your other video which shows how to thin out a heavy wig.
    ALSO, I want to thank you for this video about how to keep the wig on your head. This is BRILLIANT!! Two more wigs are supposed to be delivered today (Amazon). I'm hoping they look great right out of the bag/box.
    Thanks so much for your channel and telling women that it's okay to wear wigs!!!

      Wishing your new wigs work well for you😊. I’m learning I have to customize my wigs, lots for me to learn. Don’t let disappointment get to you if not perfect out of the box😊

    OMG! this worked so great for me and I only used the spray on stuff. I swear it makes the wig feel like it is growing out of your head! Bravo!

    I will have to try this. Your advise is the best. It drives me nuts when a wig wants to ride up the back of my head or anywhere else. I just started wearing wigs daily a few months ago, and after getting more comfortable with them, I am now watching more and more videos to find the best ways to make them stay on easily, and also learn how to adjust them better to compliment my features. Your videos are awesome.

    Hi Christine,
    Oh my gosh I found you again🥳 so, so glad to watch more of your videos on wigs. BTW are you still going to be making more and providing us wig wearers with your invaluable advise? Hope so!
    As for securing my own wigs, I gave up on a wig grip which was another layer that I didn’t like. So I bought some pressure clips and I sew one into each side, and one in the back just above the nape. This has worked well for me although this will only apply to those who have enough bio hair for the clips to anchor.
    Thanks for your videos, so very direct and to the point…..love, love love your advice.
    Sandra

    I purchased The Wig Fix grip. It is made from silicone and has tiny nodules all over. It is way more grippy than a velvet type wig grip and it doesn’t slide off. I also have a flat head. Previous to the silicone grip, I would sew snap clips into my wigs at the nape (2) and by each ear tab. These hold well also. I’m going to try adding a little Got2be Ultra to my nape and the sides above my ears then clipping into the glued spots.

    I sew in extra combs. I pulled my hair back in a tight ponytail, to my neck. That would require you growing your hair longer though, in order to have something for the combs to attach to.

    Thanks for the info..velvet wig band works great for me but I'll keep this in mind for certain special occasions...or high wind days 😂 But doesnt it make your wig cap get yucky so you have to wash more often? Wondering...😜

    Thank you so much for this tip! I’ve always loved wigs but I have a flat back of the head and never could get them to stay down. I’m going to try this gel.

  • @Jillybeans140
    @Jillybeans140 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    It took me months to get a wig to stay still ... and on! Wig grip + glue. I’ve just tried ItStays without a wig grip, and it worked. But permatease itches me, as do the hair fibres, I don’t know how to stop this. I’ve tried wig tape but made an unholy mess of it, then couldn’t get it out of my hair! I have fine, thin shoulder length bio hair, and a flat occipital bone too.

    Instead of just "ripping" the wig off, which could also rip off your hair, you should try spritzing where you applied the gel with warm water. You can purchase little "spritzing" bottles cheaply from Amazon Let sit a few seconds. The wig should come off with no trouble. Question - do you need to wash the gel off the inside of the wig every time it is removed? And, also wash your hair every night?

    • @christinemcgraw8710
      @christinemcgraw8710  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Your absolutely right that ripping the wig off is not the best idea. But in the spirit of complete honesty, that's how I usually do it. The spritz bottle is a great idea. I don't wash the gel off everytime, but I do wash the wig more frequently than I would otherwise. I don't wash my hair everynight, but I do have to put my head under the faucet to get all the gel out. Those are great questions! Thanks.

    I also use got2be but only where the lacefront is. Keeps the wig in place and stops the itching

    I've been using "It Stays". Sometimes the ball roll-on gets stuck and it won't apply glue. I need to give that Got2Be stuff a try. I keep my hair the same length as yours. Mine is all white. Thanks for the tip!

    I just bought a $20 wig band which I absolutely hate. I am always aware of it. I am definitely going to try your gel plans especially when I wear my favorite wig _ Gia by Envy because she does not have a lace front. And I am dying to try the gel around the nape of my neck because EVERY wig I own climbs up. Can't wait to try this - thank you so much for this video,

    I have to use a wig grip, I can’t just use the glue, although I would love that. But, when the weather gets hot or I have a flash of internal sunshine, the glue melts, but it does dry and secure again when I cool down.

      Regular wig grips don't work for me, so I'll try the silicone one. You're probably right about putting products on the wig, but I just love the confidence I get when it feels like the wig is cemented to my head.😃 Will definitely try the silicone grip. Thanks.!

    Wig grips work for me but after wearing a wig for 4 hours I have some real pain in the top sides of my scalp, under where the grip was that continue on through the next day. It almost feels like bruising. I also have the issues you do at the crown and occipital bone. I barely have any of either.

    I adore Jules! Hopefully I can add her to my collection soon! I purchased Turn on eBay and the lace front won’t stay down so I use regular Got2be glued but only in the front as wig grips work very well for me. However sometimes I feel like the glue might show but my girlfriends say it doesn’t. I’ll pass this video along to my friend who is having the same issue as you, riding up in the back.

    • @christinemcgraw8710
      @christinemcgraw8710  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The back is harder to keep in place, even with the got2be, because I have such a flat occipital bone, but it helps a lot. Wig grips just slide off. Also, Jules is currently my favorite wig! Thanks for watching.
