Military Arms Channel Glad you did the shot at the end drinking the Turkish Chai.
Turkish Tea is definitely the most amazing tea that I've ever tasted. My Turkish friends here in the states got me addicted to it. They helped me score a nice two-piece Turkish tea pot (required to make it). I then found a local middle-east specialty shop that sold the Turkish tea itself (regular and earl-grey turkish chai). Oh and of course I bought a set of Turkish tea glasses and saucers. Every time I have guests over I make that tea. It never fails to see the look of surprise and pleasure when they taste it. :)
Thanks again for making this video. A lot of channels would be afraid to do it because it's a Muslim country. But Turkey, as you know, makes some damn good products, and, (as I'm sure you experienced), are extremely hospitable people who make you feel welcomed and right at home.
On a small political note, Turkey finally started bombing ISIS and arresting ISIS operatives in Turkey. They are also now allowing America to use the NATO airbases there for bombing ISIS. So that's good news on that front. Hopefully people will stop all the hate and instead learn more about Turkish culture and people.
(BTW, I'm not Turkish myself, but I've worked with Turkish organizations with good experiences and have a lot of Turkish friends).

@@wigon thanks for all the nice words, one thing to add, US doesn't only use NATO airbases in Turkey, there are two huge airbases that belong to US in Turkey for Middle East operations. One is in Izmir (Aegean Sea) and the other one is Incirlik (Adana). Writing this while I sip my Turkish tea. Cheers!

MAC, the quality of your videos is astounding. Not just in terms of the TV-quality editing you do but the substance of your videos and the great lengths you go to make them. I'm not sure what your compensation is, inside or outside of TH-cam, but it's not enough. Your channel has been and will remain to be my favorite TH-cam channel to watch.

I think the first video of yours iv'e seen was the Ak from Red Jacket review and i remember saying to myself "Damn, That was a really good video!" Awesome! I have grown to like the Turkish firearms a lot, I've held quite a few that were very quality pieces and were very underrated because they were not a made by one of the big names. I bought a Yildiz 12ga over and under last year and fell in love! The action is not as buttery smooth as one of the 3 B's would be but for only $500 it is well worth a try.

I'm super happy you filmed a review about this ammunition. When I found it it was so clean and shot so well (sub moa at 100) but it was so cheap I couldn't help but get as much of it as I could. Glad to see how professional and welcoming the company was and how many checks they do to make sure the ammunition is in spec. Awesome stuff!

I respect ZQI because they package their rounds 30rnds to a box. The 20rnd per box standard is outdated with modern magazines being 30 rounds. Their ammo runs great and is priced fairly. Thanks for this video - It's really informative.

I've found this ammo (in 762x51) to be good looking, reliable, and of about typical accuracy for M80. What I like about it is the case mouth and primer sealant. All other things being equal, I'm HIGHLY interested in sealed ammo for long term storage. I wish everybody did this with their ammo. I like the prices, too.

  • @georgedean8509
    @georgedean8509 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I bought 1280 rounds two years ago, you can't beat the price for M80. I also shoot Gold Medal match 168 & 175, but the ZQI is great for general purpose.

During the coup attempt, losing this ammo was a worry of mine.
Of course it was minor compared to my worry for the Turkish people. I had a roommate for a year that became a close friend of mine that was from Istanbul. Extremely friendly and polite. I tried reaching out to him after the current events, but no luck. :/

This ammo (7.62x51)was an even better deal when WalMart was running a promotion for 7 and change a box about 8 months ago. 9mm was going for under 7 a box. And I have no complaints about performance. By the way, well done on the video.

Great tour! Thanks for your hard work. Have to say though that the 556 is great, but the 308 really sucks. Tried zeroing my scope at 100 yards with the ammo and it was a fiasco. Very inconsistent. Thought it was my rifle barrel or scope at first as the ammo claims to be consistent. 1 inch MOA at 100 yds. WE finally changed ammo and what a difference. Zeroed in with no problems. 556 also jammed fairly consistently in my AR until we changed bolt carriers. The best thing about the ammo is the price. Our Walmart in So Cal no longer carries the ZQ1 because of the steel core.

Outstanding video just came across in 2018. In Nov. of 2017 Walmart had the ZQI ammo on sale for $7.00 a box of 20 and I went within a 20 miles and purchased 2k round of this and love it. However I cant find it anymore. Why did Walmart stop selling it? and do you know where I can purchase more? Also as a NATO round do you have to swage the case for reloading?
    Thanks again

Cool video. It would have been cool to see some of the machines in action but they looked pretty locked down. Still, great work mac.

I am tell you! Dude! I brought it three boxes. Those bullet is great! Awesome. I was use 5.56 etc. but feel like as different power fire. Also great good shape. Until some Walmart stop sell it. Couple month ago. Don’t know why! Those are great but lake city still murder me. Feel like heavy but example wolf military 5.56, .62 gr and feel like shot pufff. Ain’t bad. Great one. Last time I use win 5.56 purple for training and damage bolt group carrier. I never fed or city lake or win. Great power shot by powder. Don’t bad. Just tell you truth.

Very cool Matt. I have shot a bit of ZQi..and like it very much.
I have toured Hornady, Sierra, Barns so far.
I can't get the .223 ammo in Walmart anymore, don't know why. The 7.62x51, 9mm, and 5.56 mm are very good ammo.

Gotta love how they let you in there without ear/eye protection.

I watched the video the First time you showed it !!!
Is this one "Edited" because of political issues ???
I found the first video quite Favorable !! I've shot ZQI 9mm and have No complaints !!
When I First saw it offered at my Walmart's the prices were Double that of both Federal and Winchester !!!
I thought it was a mistake, so I asked the Girl to Scan the item and verify the price, it was correct !!!!
A few months later the prices were reduced, so I bought some and tried it !!! I liked it !!!

Im impressed by all the quality control. But i bought some at walmart, very eager to try it out. It was actually the most inaccurate ammo I have ever shot. My AR could put Remington ammo within a one inch group. This ammo shot a loose group of 2 inches 6 inches from my zero.

The way I look at these plants is first and foremost they're a military production facility. As a US consumer we're lucky as we're getting any excess production. MEN German ammo is the same way. Whenever they tool up for a particular load or caliber they sell the excess production to the United States. Unlike Federal/Lake City we're not getting seconds or rejects

Really interesting stuff, will have to try and source the ammo in the UK.
