@@Nikowo1610 It's mean to be a reference to the fact that Bayonetta 1 only had an english dub, even for the japanese version. Bayonetta 2 had a japanese dub, which is why only that version of Bayonetta speaks Japanese in the Jp version. This reference would most likely go over the heads of most american players, which probably why she speaks english in both her Bayonetta 1 and 2 costumes for the US version. Also nice profile pic and name.

I think the way Pikachu originally learned Volt Tackle was if its parent was holding a Light Orb (Light Ball? I can't remember the name) when its egg was laid. Since then, there have been other ways to get the move, but since Gold and Silver were the most recent games when Melee came out, it still makes sense in the context of the theory.

And the reason why they are 2 clips of the announcer for certain fighters is that in deferent languages have to change the name depending on gender.
Joker's end 'flag' is animated, so it counts as a victory screen animation.
but the flag, including the wavy movement is just 1 more animation, but with a different texture pasted onto it, it would be the same as saying that every character has at least 8 different animations because their texture is different.
The animation is the same at the end, just a wave motion that's always the same, if the models were moving different it would be, but alas, just the "flag" does, it just can have an insane amount of different textures pasted on top.

4:57 Oh! I know it's because in languages like French (the language I play in) the name has to be changed into the masculine or feminine forms of the word appropriately. For example 'Pokémon Trainer' is 'Dresseur de Pokémon' but for a female, it has to be *'Dresseuse* de Pokémon' being the female form of "Trainer" one for animals and the other people (typically fitness ). So because of that, they kept the extra spaces in English too! Corrin's doesn't change because it's *just* a name.
Btw, the word trainer in 'Wii fit Trainer' is 'Entraîneur' and 'Entraineuse' since it's a different type of "Trainer". Lastly, I live in Canada 🇨🇦 so this is not the European version so the dialect and wording may be different. 😅

I think the reason Super Macho Man has a stronger spirit than Mr Sandman is because Macho Man is ranked higher than Sandman in every Punch Out game they're both in EXCEPT the Wii one. Although the spirits' art comes from Punch Out Wii, so its still kinda weird.

The reason that most characters with different genders have two voice clips is because in other countries, there's differences in words based on their gender - masculine and feminine. For example, fighter in Spanish can be El Luchador (Male), or La Luchadora (Female).

The number for jokers amount of victory animations is still correct, because the animation that plays after the game appears the opponent shows up in the background and since the screen as a water affect, the animation is still different for every character that he counted

I’m sure someone has already mentioned it, but the reason bayo and bayo 2 appear separately in the sound menu is because only bayo 2 speaks Japanese when the game is in Japanese mode. Bayo 1 continues speaking English.
personally, i think joker's different final smash KOs count as different animations as once the final smash hits, no player can move their character in any way and as its one singular cutscene, i'd classify it as a victory animation. another perspective is that the game is already decided right then and there. logically, from when the final smash hits to when the ui appears should count as a victory animation

I'm guessing the reason for the duplicate voice clip is that in some languages, such as Spanish, nouns are always gendered. In those languages, at least the characters whose names aren't proper nouns (i.e. villager) would technically have different names.
And I'm guessing that it was easier to program it pulling different voice clips in every language, and just have repeat clips in languages where it was the same than it was to change the audio file calls and sound test coding depending on what language was set
Agreed. And I think the Bayonetta situation is similar, since when the game is played in Japanese, the Bayonetta 1 outfit speaks English while the Bayonetta 2 outfit speaks Japanese

Useless Smash Fact: Robin and Piranha Plant are the only two playable characters to feature other fighters in their victory screens, Chrom appears in Robin's and Mario appears in Piranha Plant's.
Joker does too.

Chrom appears with Male Robin as well
Chrom appears in the victory screen if Robin used his or her final smash during the match.
And they have special dialogue if that happens.

I think Joker still has 5 victory screens, because the final smash animation also appears when Joker doesn't finish the game with it, meaning it's part of the final smash and not the game over screen.

OBJECTION! You forgot one thing! In the video, he clearly said "Technically, the victory screen animation doesn't start until GAME! appears onscreen, and at that point, the "ANIMATION" is just waving in the wind like a flag." And even if the victory screen started before GAME! appeared onscreen, that just raises it's own contradiction! In the previous episode of this, he said that a voice clip isn't a different animation! Sorry if I'm sounding a lot like "THAT GUY", but I'm just trying to clear up some inconsistencies.
