Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but... Dude this cop was so cool. Like, he was perfectly calm, constantly trying to make small talk of sorts, keeping the uppity tone, and going the extra mile doing the tests when all things considered he was very very good with this. (Didn't think my comment would pop off like this btw, thanks everyone for the love)
My social anxiety is a conversation for those close to me and my doctor, it's not a flag I fly to excuse f&$?ing up or bad behaviour, I'd rather fade into a corner than bring attention to myself.
Yes, in a normal situation anyone with social anxiety would avoid talking, but in a possible police arrest, they would pretty much have to unless they want to make the situation worse, it's not only about the anxiety it's also about the situation you're in
She unfortunately realized that the real world isn't Twitter and she can't use "I'm an indigenous, non-binary, mentally ill waffle" to remove all responsibilities she faces. Shocker.
She looks like a stuck up white girl to me. I wonder if she realizes you can be white and also not American or American decent. Example: my husband is Russian, my adopted cousins are Greek, and my mom's best friend is from Spain and that woman is lighter skin than me. Those are only 3 examples, but there are tons of countries with whiter toned people and a ton of those people moved to and live in America. Ya know, the place literally called "the melting pot". She's out there insulting his skin color while she's as pale as my sister. Being white doesn't automatically mean you're American or of European decent. Also, after she started to weaponize mental health, she became a disgrace to everyone legit struggling with mental illness. I don't take antidepressants and tourettes medications for funsies. I have to take them or I suffer. Also, if depression was really such a serious issue for her, she wouldn't be out and about drinking and having fun. When you have serious depression that interferes with your life and daily abilities and tasks, as she's claiming, you're at home, in the same clothes from days ago, with zero energy to even move. F@$k. Her.
That cop definitely deserves a raise, not only for being calm during the whole situation but also for the fact that he had to stand this _being_ for almost 20 minutes.

@mrnobody2923 , I have to wonder if it's because these are the kids who all got participation trophies and were told they're special throughout their lives. When they found out that they aren't as superior as they were told, they had to find something to make them different.

Honestly have a hard time believing them when people like this say they have x or y condition/mental health/neurodevelopmental issue. Because for example, as you said, with social anxiety, people who actually have a social anxiety disorder tend to NOT be disagreeable. The whole point of the disorder is that they are heavily stressed out by confrontations and social interactions, which they seemed to have no issue with. People with social anxiety disorders are notoriously bad at saying no, refusing things, etc... They fawn as they perceive social situations as a threat, and would rather comply than argue or escalate, and they want to avoid confrontations at all costs.
@@Dice-Z that's a really good point, the fact that someone has intentionally gotten into a situation where they feel they need to save face by excusing bad behavior is the biggest contradiction to their excuse. This video is actually a really good example of the difference between someone who actually has social anxiety vs someone who's using it to dismiss their actions. The cop says he also has social anxiety, and he only does what is required of him despite absolutely deserving to argue back. He only mentioned his social anxiety for the very purpose of de-escalating by trying to relate to them, while the drunk driver mentioned their "social anxiety" in hopes that it would somehow dismiss their actions or make the punishment less.

I do have cPTSD with Emotionally Unstable Personality Traits. I think I'm gonna blow my top if anybody tries to claim "intergenerational PTSD" within my earshot. They don't have a clue what It is really like to have it. I tell some people of my conditions as it helps them to understand why I react differently to them certain situations. It explains my sometimes unacceptable behaviour, but does not excuse it. The onus is still on me to act as a reasonable human being when I am interacting with others. It is one of the reasons I now choose social isolation: I know I cannot control my behaviour (yet, seeking therapy), so I choose not to inflict it on innocent by standers. The issue's are mine, not theirs. At the end of the day, it is nice if people can make adjustments for you, but you cannot expect the world to change, just because you have difficulty handling it. One of the things I hate about my condition is how weak it has made me against the everyday stresses of life.

This. People like this are an insult and outright terrorism toward mental health awareness. If anything people with depression, anxiety and more are much, much less willing to complain especially as confrontation and escalation tends to stress them out. This is exactly why i'm far more enclined to believe that cop does have social anxiety compared to her claiming she does. On the other hand she could pass a narcissism test. They are honestly one of the main reason we can't have nice things. Extremists regardless of whichever extreme they are, and parents not raising their kids properly, are honestly almost all the reasons why we can't have nice things.

I was once the passenger in a car that went the wrong way down a one way system. It happened because they had recently changed the road directions round and the driver was used to ordinary two way traffic on those streets as it was what he’d grown up with. I can genuinely say it was one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever been involved in. It’s horrific…frightening and it feels totally out of control and feels that a head on crash is almost inevitable. We got out of it as fast as possible…..swearing, sweating and terrified…. So…and my point I find it really odd that ‘Kai’ is totally calm and collected…and grinning. Weird. Very very weird for the sensitive little soul Kai as expresses themselves to be…
Being labelled as a victim can go both ways: either you're lying about it or are genuinely needing assistance and guidance with whatever situation you're facing right now. Lying about being a victim can have severe consequences. You'd really have to think about your actions. Sometimes our mouths move faster than any of our body parts can.
This is why the tone used is always interrogative, even whrn they convinced themselves of this nonesense: Deep down they know this is bull, and they are asking to check if you will also play into their delirium or not. Can't stand this wimpy generation that can't make up their own mind about anything, aside from some rare exceptions.
Lying about being a victim hurts other victims or at least deceiving people in the end, making you the opposite of a victim. Like the commenter above me said though, making yourself out to be the victim and the victim mentality is bad in itself, specifically when you bring it up as an excuse for your bad actions
I wish i didn't feel ridiculous to tell someone about my bipolar diagnosis when I do something inappropriate by accident. You know for someone who has social anxiety, Kai really comes off kinda strong towards the officer and doesn't shy away from reminding Kai's sexuality. I'd be quiet in the whole ordeal...
I remember about 8 or 9 years ago, people didn't use their gender, race, sexuality or mental illnesses to define their existence, when younger people at the time didn't want these things labeling their personhood. I'm only 26 and this younger generation uses the labels as excuses upon excuses in a whole excuse BLT and it's a headscratcher. Why can't people own up to their mistakes? Every action one makes has consequences, good or bad.
Yea, the labeling and defining your personality based on identifiers is crazy to me. My generation defined ourselves by our interests, dreams, desires, and values. Gender also didn't define your interests. A girl wanting to wear boys clothes or have short hair didn't mean she was trans or non binary. It just meant she wasn't girly. It was also okay for a boy to grow his hair long and paint his nails. We went from erasing gender stereotypes to taking them to extremes.
I'm 30 now but when I was kid I wouldn't tell anyone I was special -ed it always made me feel awful about myself and never used my disability as an excuse but now everyone wants to pretend they have my disabilities

7:20 Thank you for this Pegasus. People should be judged by character and not their predetermined identity. As someone who fights tooth and nail at work and home to break down harmful perceptions mental health conditions, this spoke out to me. On the other hand, overinflating your condition as your identity actually creates a self fulfilling loop where you feel you are limited by your condition, and like what everyone says, throwing it around like a free pass card prevents opportunities for people who genuinely need help for said conditions.
Thank you for explaining the "main character" syndrome. Have heard about it and seen videos where they discuss it so I gathered from the context what it might be about but thank you for actually calling it out with an explanation so that I know my understanding was correct.
They are so used to the bull💩 in college that they always get confused in real life. I lost count how many times I had to remind someone this is not a college campus.
I was pulled over somewhat recently (broken tail light, which is honestly the least of my 27 year old car's worries), and I told the cop I had severe anxiety. Not as an excuse, but to explain why I was hyperventilating and tearing up before the cop even said anything. I would NEVER use any of my diagnoses as an excuse.
Genuine question, how is me explaining my behavior an excuse? My understanding of reason vs excuse is that an excuse is used as a means to get out of something while a reason is just explaining the why something happened. For example, an excuse would be if I ran a red then claimed it was because of my anxiety hoping to get out of trouble. In the case I talked about, the cop actually asked if I was ok because of my behavior (he arrived at the window and I was already freaking out), and that is when I explained that I have an anxiety disorder. If I had done something wrong, I would have taken full responsibility. Side note, sorry if I come across as a bit aggressive. A major pet peeve of mine is when someone asks "why?" and once given the reason/answer say "that's not an excuse." I'm not trying to excuse bad behavior, just answering the damn question.
I'm not trans and i get misgendered dozens of times a week at work and i never correct any of them because who cares. Also I found out recently that i got diagnosed as autistic years before i learned it. those aren't excuses for things honestly. it just means im weird compared to most people and it explained things but honestly.... these people.
There's also a very strong link with ASD and Transgender feelings that has been reported on. It might be due to Autism Spectrum Disorder making it harder for people to understand social cues and the way they should act but I'm not qualified to speak on anything but noticing the link

My social anxiety is a conversation for those close to me and my doctor, it's not a flag I fly to excuse f&$?ing up or bad behaviour, I'd rather fade into a corner than bring attention to myself.
I know that really well. I would just wait until they leave or just avoid places with people.
That makes sense to me.
I'm always so quiet in a conversation, I just want to say "I have social anxiety", but I just can't.
Exactly. Human interaction is the enemy.
Yes, in a normal situation anyone with social anxiety would avoid talking, but in a possible police arrest, they would pretty much have to unless they want to make the situation worse, it's not only about the anxiety it's also about the situation you're in

Fun fact, cops actually don't want to deal with your bs and the ensuing paperwork so the more cooperative and respectful you are the more likely they are to let you go with a slap on the wrist or the lightest punishment they can give you. Just shut up, be respectful and cooperative, apologize profusely and ask for help rather than arguing.
As some that also has PTSD, this ^^

I can’t believe this woman expected to be treated with sympathy and love when she was driving drunk on the wrong side of the road? She’s a terrible person lmao. She could’ve killed people. And has the audacity to cry and act like a victim afterwards. Insane.
This... absolutely pisses me off. I've suffered with depression (and thankfully I'm a whole lot better now )and seeing this... gets me mad. People suffering with these conditions don't go around using them as escape cards... doing shit like this makes it hard for people facing these issues to get the help they need.... Its just sad. The cop has some patience, I'd snap lol. I'm glad we don't have people like this where I'm from (but then again, we might.. just a different version). Also, I love your content, you gained a new subscriber.

As a person, I can agree
That officer deserves a medal. I wouldn’t have been so patient..She is drawing every card possible from playing a cutie, woke, angry ,crying , what a miserable person…
If she is that much big of a victim, she should be more experienced in what not to do.

Weird. Very very weird for the sensitive little soul Kai as expresses themselves to be…
Honestly that cop is really gentle with her.
Not gentle enough for these people

Being labelled as a victim can go both ways: either you're lying about it or are genuinely needing assistance and guidance with whatever situation you're facing right now. Lying about being a victim can have severe consequences. You'd really have to think about your actions. Sometimes our mouths move faster than any of our body parts can.
I don’t think, whether you’re lying or not, it’s EVER a good idea to see yourself as a victim. Never be the victim! It will ruin your life!
This is why the tone used is always interrogative, even whrn they convinced themselves of this nonesense:
Deep down they know this is bull, and they are asking to check if you will also play into their delirium or not.
I don't, because it's humiliating to feel like I'm acting the same as these people. It leaves me with hard-core imposter syndrome. I see these people pretending so I assume I probably am too. Awful.
Genuinely Asking for help as a victim: Absolutely Ok.
Avoid Responsibility using the victim card: Absolutely NOT Ok.
People should be judged "by the content of their character." That should be a principle everyone aspires to follow, however I feel like it's been abandoned in favor of victimization-identity.
So what should one do when dealing with an individual like this that has no character? Lol, pray and hope for the best?!
11:17 theres a trans kid at my school and I'm friends with them for one reason, WHEN I SAY THE WRONG PRONOUN THEY JUST SAY, "he" and I go "sorry" and he goes "it’s okay" and then we continue. It’s so much easier to deal with than these baffoons
I was pulled over once and had a real panic attack, couldnt speak, eas shaking. Once the office was able to read some messages on my phone they were super nice. Made sure i made it home and just gave me a warning for whatever i got pulled over for. Some cops are really good at their job and just want to help and keep people safe.
Skill issue
I am only 15 i vaguely remember those time what is happening with these teens that are older than me they seem fucking brain dead tbh

This officer is being super patient and respectful. I can’t even believe there are people like this. I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s and even until like 2015, people were not like this. I have literally never seen anyone like this until the past couple of years.
They were a lot rarer at least. Back then we had different kind of bad people. For the most part usually far worse than now, but also far, FAR less infuriating than today's idiots. And officer does deserve praise for being literally as respectful as someone could possibly be in his place.

The anxiety part always gets me so annoyed. Like it's not a problem that everyone deals with these days. Doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want.
Honestly yeah cause like.. the only thing THATD change is them being a bit more quiet to the cop??
Thank you for explaining the "main character" syndrome. Have heard about it and seen videos where they discuss it so I gathered from the context what it might be about but thank you for actually calling it out with an explanation so that I know my understanding was correct.
Main character syndrome= Narcissism
They are so used to the bull💩 in college that they always get confused in real life. I lost count how many times I had to remind someone this is not a college campus.
She really be out here thinking the whole world should cater to her braindead victim ideology.
You already did.
@@Rebecky31 they didnt use it as an excuse though, they did it to explain their bodys reaction while still holding accountability lol
