Note: Some 2011 Ford Rangers have a steering wheel tilt lever that this Ranger does not have. You will need to use a pair of plyrs to " gently" unscrew the lever before removing the lower housing unit or you will not be able to remove the old multi function switch. Also, the gear shifter has a plate pin that will need to be put back on prior to putting everything back together. Thanks!
Can you explain the plate pin more before I try taking this apart? Mine is an 09 xl. Does have tilt lever. That’s all well and good. Worried about this plate pin now though. First I’m hearing of that. Also gonna try to do mine without removing or loosening the lock panel underneath. I’ve read you can do that if you tilt the wheel
@@chrislunsford4727 It's a small 1"x1" slotted piece of metal that comes off when removing the housing. All you need is to remember to put it back on "if" it comes off in the first place. Just be aware and not forget it. You'll be fine!
