      Nothing you need to do for electronic parking brakes for bleeding except to put them in maintenance mode before replacing the brake pads. For bleeding the brakes you just bleed like on normal cars.

      This video was made for demonstration purposes. I believe the rack and pinion could be bad if everything else checks out to be OK with the steering and suspension. I would check the front and rear stabilizer links to make sure there is no play. On these cars usually one or more of the links go bad and sometimes the struts could be worn out too. The vehicle will need to be thoroughly diagnosed to pinpoint the issue.

    Can you please tell me if you have any experience at all with the same make and year Toyota Corolla 2005 losing power and stalling out randomly/intermittently? It has happened to me several times of times and we thought it was the ECU witch was replaced recently but I have had that happen twice since replacing the ECU. Could it be possible that this is also a transmission issue or something else?

    • @moosemobileautorepair
      @moosemobileautorepair 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If the check engine light is not on for P2716 then it's most likely not an issue with the ECM. I would check a few things: Mass air flow sensor - if you have a scan tool I would monitor the fuel trims and check the mass air flow sensor grams per second and see what it is putting out while driving it especially under heavy loads/acceleration. Sometimes cleaning it may help sometimes it won't. I would check and visually inspect all 4 ignition coils/spark plugs as sometimes they can work intermittently and cause a rough running engine and stalling at times. I would check the fuel pressure and see if the fuel pump is putting out enough pressure. I would also check and possibly scope the crank and cam sensors to see if the signals are good. Lastly, do not replace any parts unless there is evidence that there is a problem with it.

Lbs. or less with a 19 mm deep socket and an impact. Afterwards you can tighten it up with a 1/2" drive torque wrench still while it is off of the vehicle and while holding it down and to line up the hole for the castle nut to install a new cotter pin. That is what I did for the right side (passenger's side). Easier, better and faster to do.

    Do you have any tips to refill the system without the special funnnel or the funnel is it really necessary?

    • @moosemobileautorepair
      @moosemobileautorepair 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's hard to do it without the funnel. You would need to top up at the brim of the radiator each time. The funnel helps to hold and circulate the liquid coolant to prevent any air bubbles from getting back into the system. It also allows you to observe the air bubbles in the coolant. You really need the funnel to do it properly because the coolant expands and contracts while bleeding the system. It can probably be done without, but it's best with the spill-free funnel. Without the funnel the coolant will spill over and get on to other parts of the radiator, etc.

    I just did this yesterday with a westar part. Fought with getting it in for too long before the grinder came out. The long stud on the forward inboard corner was 1/4" longer than factory. The forward outboard leg has too much metal and won't go around the steering rack mount. Look at the oem mount and trim the new one to match. Do this BEFORE you try to install. You will chew up the power steering fluid lines in there trying to get it in if you don't, and it still won't fit. If I had to do this again, I'd just get the part from toyota. The savings was eaten up by time and frustration.

    I have a 2012 fusion with 201,056 miles on it. Been using mobile 1 full synthetic since I bought it with 45,000 miles. Am I wasting my money, or should I go with regular 5 w 20?

      You're not wasting your money. Keep using synthetic oil. Especially if you are doing 5 k Miles/8 k Kilometers intervals.

    Thanks for the nice and very detailed video! I am asking for advice! My low pressure is very high. At the beginning it is 90 psi and after 15 minutes of running the motor it has risen and equalized with the high - 120-125 psi low and 125 psi high. The engine revs feel like the electronic clutch engages and disengages. What should I do? Car is 2015 Toyota Corolla with the R-134A refrigerant. The outside temperature is 25 C. Thanks!

      Sounds like the A/C compressor is not working or turning on. The low side should drop once the A/C is on. Low side should be around 30 to 40 PSI depending on the ambient temperature outside. High side will vary anywhere from 150 to probably 225 or 250 psi max. Everything with the engine running of course. I would check and inspect the A/C compressor and also have a look at the expansion valve as well. The expansion valve could be restricted causing this issue.

      @@moosemobileautorepair Thank you very much for the advice. I bought the car used and now I am using the air conditioner for the first time. After repairing the compressor, can I load the system with 12a refrigerant?

    • @moosemobileautorepair
      @moosemobileautorepair 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @roumenpetkov5554 You need pure R134A in the system and nothing else. Do not use those cans containing R12a as those will contaminate and damage the A/C system. Most of the cans will have other chemicals inside there so they will damage the entire A/C system if used. You have to find only R134A either by the cans or by the tank with no other chemicals inside there.

      @@moosemobileautorepair Thanks again for the advice! The problem is that R134A it cannot be purchased in Quebec, Canada. Only 12a is allowed.

    you are the kind of a mechanic that I would definitely recommend! Thank you for the video! Very rare to find people like you these days! Most of the mechanics these days are nothing but slackers! Quick money makers and little quality jobs done. Thats a FACT!
