This was playing as my youngest child was rolled down the hospital hallway for the last time.
It was playing while the helicopters left with his organs to bring others a second chance at life.
Maybe, one day, it will be playing when I get to meet the recipients of the greatest gift: love.
Thank you, Mumford & Sons, for being the soundtrack of my son's life. I can listen to you, and pretend he is still here....

I love M&S. Have heard this version many times. For me, my mom passed about a week ago. My Dad a year ago. This popped on my way home from teaching, and the tears just flowed all night. I’m a grown adult with kids of my own,yet I miss them so much. It just hurts. They were my adopted parents as my birth parents passed when I was young, so I got a second chance. Just can’t believe it’s all over. Much love to all struggling.

playing with a whole orchestra supporting you (or in my case a marching band) is an unreal feeling. my junior year of high school i had a solo in our marching show and every time we went through the show the part that the whole band came in always gave me chills its such a cool experience.
I lost my son John Andrew Peter Phillippe McNamara Crofts March 2nd 2020 I found him dead in his bed, sudden loss unexplained He was our second beautiful precious son to die. This song has helped me tyxxx
