Tip for dog owners. There's also carnosine eye drops that, after several weeks of use, cleared a common type of cloudy cataract in my 14-year-old West Highland terrier's eyes and she stopped bumping into furniture and could clearly see much better - back to normal or nearly so. Her eyes remained clear for 4 more years until she passed away having only occasionally given her drops for maintenance (btw, she ate fresh cooked meat, no dog food). As Dr Berg explained, it's thought that cataracts form from sugars being added to proteins on the lens (glycation) and carnosine drops specifically work via an antiglycation effect. Animal studies confirmed this mechanism for carnosine drops and also showed carnosine reduced oxidative stress. I used the Can-C brand. [reposted this from a reply]

Wow! New information for me! The last time I had my eyes checked I was told I had beginning signs of Cataracts! I am almost 70 and began Keto in August of 22. The advantages of Keto are endless. Thank you Dr Berg.

Doctor Berg. Wow. This content is amazing. You explain the whole functioning of the eye, The mechanisms in the eye, glycation. The best part is that you explain things so succinctly. And you don't talk down to us. I am sixty four years of age. This is the first time I have ever heard anything about the eye and how it works. It's no wonder that I have cataracts. Thanks to you, now I know why and I know how to reverse it. Thank you with all my heart. I am the sort of person that likes to know why things are done. Thank you.
This video of Dr.Berg as always was priceless and timely. Although I have tried to avoid surgery for a while now it has come to a point where I have to have it done. I'm so grateful to all of you for such great input and comments on how much better you feel now after the surgery, thank goodness. So happy for all of you. My only question is, which lense to choose from and if any of you could mention which type you had inserted during surgery, would be a real blessing. I was offered a Mono lense as where I Iive, in Mexico, they mainly only have the basic lenses. Any suggestions would be fantastic. Cheers 🥂 to seeing clearly again.🥂 Thank you all and God bless
When I was living in Bali Indonesia, I found that 2 Babies were born Blind! - I checked the Parts of Particulate in the Tap Water & found it to be very high (200P.P.M.) I theorised that maybe if people with Cataracts drank Distilled Water (no minerals or Particulates) their Cataracts might disappear. 4 people I helped to get rid of their Cataracts within 3 Months. (you need to keep up your good Minerals though as they also will eventually be removed) Macular Degeneration is also being caused by eating "Canola Oil" in Australia.- I have found that Coconut Oil is the best oil for many things, including most brain problems. ( Altzheimers, Parkinson's, M.S., Epilepsy, Autism, with Red Palm Oil also).
My mom was 90% blind in her left eye due to cataracs. Last week, she had the surgery & she has to do another surgery for the same eye. They said her cateracts was so thick, they could not see through it at all.

Well, that is the American medical community for you, now they are telling people that having a heart attack or blood clot and dying suddenly in your 20's and 30's is natural. 😞
You have such an ability to present, share or disseminate knowledge. I walk at least 6 or 7 miles a day....this is my time to listen and learn from you...
This presentation is important to me, being 65. My optometrist recently accused me of having this problem. Researching, ive learned of symptoms: lighting bolt like flashes, seeing halos... Thank you Dr. BERG
I have 20:20 vision but still watching this guy's videos. His TUDCA advice really improved my live. I suffered for 9 years before watching one his vids.
I work at an eye surgery center. We perform over 30 cataract surgeries a day! It's insane the amount of cataracts we see. It has really prompted me to research what is causing them. Thanks for the information!
I had cataracts and was scheduled for surgery. Then I remembered reading about how infusing high grade hexane free in the eyes would dissolve cataracts. Within a week my cataracts were not only mostly gone but I ended up with 20/20 vision. My eyes are now clear and brilliant. All for a few dollars worth of castor oil. It also worked on the eyes of our 17 year old dog.
When I hit 40 it seemed my eyes started to give me issues. I was having trouble with night vision, driving at night mainly. I was previously on a few rounds of steriods for severe allergies also, so that maybe played a part. I started taking the Lutein/ X supplement and vitamin E and there has been a huge improvement!
Cure = Lens replacement surgery. Eating proteins with sugar produce advanced glycation end-products, AGE which is bad for eyes and everything else. I GUESS extended periods of fasting "might" improve things - but I doubt any variant of doctor would suggest this.
There was a flurry of interest in a doctor at UC San Diego who found that a cholesterol variant called lanosterol reversed cataracts in dogs. But you have to inject it in the lens capsule, and no one does that. I think they stopped the research b/c cararact surgery is so profitable for opthalmologists.
Thanks for all your much wider info than most videos Dr Berg. I have been extremely nearsighted from birth and had very successful LASIK surgery many years ago. I now have advanced cataracts (60 years old) - I believe from stress (cortisol) and too much sugar consumption. I am not keen to get cataract surgery due the many poor outcomes I have heard unless you have “garden variety” cataracts (which are very successful). I will do everything I can to flush, keep off sugars, and nutrient load my body and see what happens. Maybe I’ll take the surgery plunge if nothing else works anyway.
I've had very bad eyes ever since I was a young kid Started having surgeries on my legs back and hips when I was 4 weeks old and they blamed all the x-rays. My glasses were like Coke bottles as a kid and I was teased terribly. Thank God for contact lenses that can correct really bad vision now. I've been fighting rheumatoid arthritis now for the last 17 years. They're getting me some of these steroids over the years they've just ruined my body from gaining terrible amounts of weight and then losing it and then gaining it again and losing it. I feel like my skin will never be tight again but I'm still working on it. I'm being told now I have cataracts from all the steroid use but I'm concerned about doing the surgery because the lenses are only single vision they put in which means glasses for the rest of my life. Right now contacts are correcting my vision so I'm keeping an eye on them. I was excited to see your videos on cataracts I'm going to try and do all I can to help them naturally and put up that surgery.

Interesting! You had pain in between your shoulder blades and it was your bladder?? I have pain there also, could you direct me to that particular video?
There are 2 types of UV rays that can harm your sight: UV-A rays can cause damage to your central vision. UV-B rays can damage the cornea and lens on the front of your eye. That’s why it’s a good idea to get sunglasses that block UV-A and UV-B rays.
I've been sunning my eyes for about six years. I'm 62, I went from a prescription of 150 (1.5), down to 25 (.25), which is close to 20/20. Don't need glasses at all any more.
I, also, would like to know how long it took the vitamin K2 to work. I , personally, found a video made by Dr. Berg where he recommended…….( get THIS…..) 35 MG ( not mcg, but 35 MG per day. I started taking this several MONTHS ago…….and to date, am STILL waiting for it to begin working ! I only found one company who sold it in this strength of MG. 8-12-2024.
I wish I hadn’t gotten cataract surgery so early. I should have waited. I’m having blurry vision, floaters, scarring behind the lens, dry eyes and worried I might have detachment. My doctor should have advised me to wait!!! I am afraid to get Yag to clear the scarring due to side effects from it. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Praying it’ll get better. Have one more month when it’ll be 3 months since surgery. 😢
5 years ago my eye doctor told me I had the beginnings of cataracts. This new doctor told me I don’t have cataracts. Did the old doctor or new doctor make a mistake? Or did the keto cure me of cataracts? Guess I’ll never know. Thanks Dr. Berg. You are a wealth of info.
I too was told I had early cataracts five years ago. I am having my right eye surgery this coming Tuesday and the left later when all has been checked. Worth another opinion I would say.
@@Bleu_Sky I hope you’re wrong! The older doc was a Walmart doc, the new one was an expensive highly rated one. But still that doesn’t solve the mystery. Anyhow, I don’t have any cloudy vision at all, just bad vision.

Great info! When you get to the cruciferous vegetables, can you speak to how eating those raw may or may not hurt ones thyroid function? I was told that if I want to repair my thyroid function to avoid raw cruciferous vegetables. Is that true?
I do believe there is a lot of truth to that. So you help one problem and make another problem worse. Can be confusing at times to say the least. Best wishes to you!
Just an additional bit of info. The cruciferous veggies, I've heard block iodine absorption which then affects the thyroid! Also heard that kale is the worst for this and cabbage and Brussel sprouts not as bad!
Not at the normal amount of cruciferous one normally eats. But if it de stresses you to slightly steam them, this is also fine. He’s made videos answering this exact question and clarified his answers over the years. ❤
I had cataracts in my right eye when I was 38.. immediately after the loss of my brother (he was killed in the war ).. although there is no family history of cataracts.. I think that the stress after a trauma is a main cause too...''the adrenals and cortisol ''
It is fascinating to listen to Dr Berg, unique and fascinating information and facts. Why don't the medical Colleges teach this stuff to the doctors. I have never seen a doctor prescribing or saying such prolific stuff.
Family doctors are completely useless. They don't understand or they don't want to understand what proactive prognosis means . All they do is wait until your problem is beyond control to prescribe pills with side effects which will cause more health issues. Most of those doctors do not respect or follow the hippocratic oath.
For cataract, it seems that hexane free castor oil, one drop at night, give good results. For the floaters I took taurine, it did work fast and great for me
6:37 thank you Dr Berg for you consistent delivery of important information including the reminder of the very effective keto diet. It is an obvious better choice but we clearly need the reminder to keep choosing no sugar low carb foods! ❤
I was recently told I have the beginning of cataracts. They said I have UV damage n it's from my job working outside with no sunglasses on. So now I wear shades but they never mentioned anything about food. I'm not diabetic. I'm 59 female but on no medication. I don't smoke, drink or use microwave.
I'm 68 and was told I had the start of cataracts. 2 times since, I sprayed my eyes with Sovereign Silver (totally safe). Last week, when I asked how they were progressing, 2 years later,, I got a long pause. Then the doctor says, you have very healthy eyes. He looked perplexed.
@@jps8678 No! Sovereigh Silver is pure nano particles that absorb and leave the body. Colloidal is Silver Nitrate, which are large particles of crap. that get stuck in the body and cause Aygria.

Dr. Berg- I have open-angle glaucoma, had it for the past 2-3 years. I've been told it's not that bad since it started, but I have to be on eye drops as long as I live. Not interested since these drops have lots of side effects. I heard you said NAC, which is an excellent idea. How many per day, with or without food? Any other advice? Thank you
I've heard that one of the reasons of cataracts is the "maillard" reaction, caused by excessive fructose consumption. Compared to glucose, fructose makes this seven times faster.
When I used to eat cheap crap chocolate with HFCS I noticed my BP would instantly skyrocket and my eyes would start to hurt. I've heard tissue glycation from fructose is 10x worse than from glucose.
Indeed The Maillard Reaction (heat on protein that creates a sweet taste with BBQ for example) makes many foods taste wonderful, but sadly this is also what is called advanced glycation end-products aka AGEs which are really bad throughout the body, especially eyes.
God bless you Dr. my brother already has cataract, please where can I buy the eye drops -occulotrophin and NAC Drop-N ACETYLCARNOSINE. Iam in Nigeria.thanks.

chaos theory I have been using Can-C myself since November last year. As I cannot see my cataracts, I have no idea if they are disappearing, and will have to wait until the next eye test to find out. Very glad the drops were successful for your dog, during the latter years of her life.

Cheers 🥂 to seeing clearly again.🥂

When I was living in Bali Indonesia, I found that 2 Babies were born Blind! - I checked the Parts of Particulate in the Tap Water & found it to be very high (200P.P.M.)
I theorised that maybe if people with Cataracts drank Distilled Water (no minerals or Particulates) their Cataracts might disappear.
4 people I helped to get rid of their Cataracts within 3 Months. (you need to keep up your good Minerals though as they also will eventually be removed)

How long did it take till you started to see improvements?
@@9battlefieldheroes9 a week or 2. 😁
@@9battlefieldheroes9 but be careful with vitamin A. It can build up in the body
Thank you so much for this. I have a question. Can I stop cataract or reverse it without surgery?
Cure = Lens replacement surgery. Eating proteins with sugar produce advanced glycation end-products, AGE which is bad for eyes and everything else. I GUESS extended periods of fasting "might" improve things - but I doubt any variant of doctor would suggest this.
There was a flurry of interest in a doctor at UC San Diego who found that a cholesterol variant called lanosterol reversed cataracts in dogs. But you have to inject it in the lens capsule, and no one does that. I think they stopped the research b/c cararact surgery is so profitable for opthalmologists.
I suggest you try using this video and his other videos on eyes health ❤
Thanks for all your much wider info than most videos Dr Berg.
I have been extremely nearsighted from birth and had very successful LASIK surgery many years ago. I now have advanced cataracts (60 years old) - I believe from stress (cortisol) and too much sugar consumption. I am not keen to get cataract surgery due the many poor outcomes I have heard unless you have “garden variety” cataracts (which are very successful). I will do everything I can to flush, keep off sugars, and nutrient load my body and see what happens. Maybe I’ll take the surgery plunge if nothing else works anyway.

I've had very bad eyes ever since I was a young kid
Started having surgeries on my legs back and hips when I was 4 weeks old and they blamed all the x-rays.

Why don't the medical Colleges teach this stuff to the doctors. I have never seen a doctor prescribing or saying such prolific stuff.

I've heard that one of the reasons of cataracts is the "maillard" reaction, caused by excessive fructose consumption. Compared to glucose, fructose makes this seven times faster.
Glucose gets spread to the liver & to the body. Fructose goes directly to the liver.
Excellent info, thanks 😊
