    This is one of the BEST dirtbike channels I’ve ever come across. I have been glued to the 93 build series the past 2 days I can’t get enough. Keep up the good work. Respect From uk and Greece

      Thanks a lot for the comment! I’m really glad you are enjoying the project 93 series. Hopefully we will be starting a new build series on the channel really soon.
      It’s always nice to hear people are enjoying the content. It’s a lot of work with little reward. I really enjoy building the bikes and it’s awesome to hear other people enjoy it as much as I do making it.
      Thanks again

      Just dope videos.
      I just picked up a 93 myself which also has. Crack rim sadly.
      Could I ask you a question?
      How many gaskets / o rings are involved with the exhaust manifold and expansion chamber where it all connects to engine / manifold etc etc thanks bud !

      @@sm400xr well there are 2 O-rings on the expansion chamber that fits into the cylinder of a 1992-2001 cr250, FMF makes a pretty affordable little kit you can find from most online places and it comes with 2 new springs as well. I hope that helps answer your question.. if not i will try to understand what you are asking

      That’s awesome and perfect info thankyou buddy. I used to own an 03 which I restored and that had a bolt on manifold as you well know so just wanted to confirm with the 93. I’ve seen those fmf kits and I’ll
      Order up! Cheers !

    Take ALL your spokes at one time and hold them in one hand and with a glove on the other hand smear all the threads at once with anti seize and rub it in with your fingers.. Then install them. Saves time. Then, you will have anti-seize all over your clothes, all your bikes, tools, cars, arms, face, food, dishes & house for the next 14 days. You chose this hobby, this is just part of it!

      Lol. Never seize is pretty much my nemesis…. You need it, but it never needs you… lol.

    It's been a while since I laced up a rim but I think I snugged them then went every third all the way around then moved to the next spoke and went every third then one more time. Then would adjust or loosen inside or outside every third for which ever way you wanted the rim to move and when done repeat the same initial tightening sequence to get them to the to the right "tightness". Then recheck. But you dude, busting out the gourmet spoke torque wrench, that's next level!

      Thanks a lot for the comment and for watching. Having some tools are not needed… but they sure do make the job nicer.

    Loving your videos! Inspiration for my 95’ restoration. I have the same Tusk truing stand. I was struggling getting the rims straight, and it ended up being the conical bushings being poorly machined and not true. I had some others from a different balancing machine and it fixed my issue. Cheap china manufacturing…

    You do have some nice specialty tools.

    • @Dirtbikerepair
      @Dirtbikerepair  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I didn’t have all the special tools for a lot of years and slowly bought more and more., If you are going to do a lot of rims then the special toque wrench is handy.. but for a lot of years I just used a normal spoke wrench. Thanks a lot for watching as usual

    I remember trying to true up a rim years ago, and it seemed that if I'd make an adjustment, it would just get worse and worse. Thanks for another great video! 👍

    Where did you buy the new spokes? Project 93 is coming along great and looking good!

    • @Dirtbikerepair
      @Dirtbikerepair  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On most older bikes, especially Project 93! Lol. They have been neglected.. so the spokes and spoke caps were all sized into the rim.. for the price of spokes $30-50 bucks it’s just better for tuning the new wheel and hub. I would have bent spokes trying to save them.
      Thanks a lot for the comment

    Love your channel, always looking forward for the next episode! I'am restoring a CR 250 1993 and 1994 at the moment myself, so lots of good info here. I see you mounted the pegs from ims, I also orderded them but it seems they don't work with the original springs from Honda. The springs does not "catch" on the ims pegs, where the original pegs do. Can you please tell me how you solved this problem, would be of great help.

    • @Dirtbikerepair
      @Dirtbikerepair  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      First let me say thanks for watching and for the comment! I will definitely go over how I installed the pegs in the “handlebar setup and controls” video.
      I did use OEM honda pins and springs but they were a real pain to get installed. The left side was easier then the right side. There is a hole if I remember in the foot peg. I placed the spring into that hole and then wedged it against the frame to get them to “work”. I’m not 100% sure if that’s the correct east they were designed…. But it works and the foot pegs hold tent ion with the springs. Hope that helps, keep an eye open for the upcoming video where I will review it so you can see what I mean.
      Thanks again for watching and if you have any more questions feel free to ask. I will do my best to try and show the answer on the channel
