I bought a female beardie from someone on Craigslist. She was 3 years old and due to a busy schedule, her owner stopped playing with her and socializing her. She wouldn't stop flaring at me for a week after I got her. I just took my time with her. Now she may puff up at me, but I'll slowly stroke her under her chin. She will then relax and return to her normal citrus colors. It's gotten to the point where the only time she puffs up at me is when I take her outside. I can pick her up and everything's fine. If I say "time to go inside," she starts puffing up at me, running away, and refusing to let me hold her. It's amusing how quickly she gives up once I offer her some basket grass. She loves that stuff and it's everywhere in my yard. :)
Anyway, gorgeous silky, Michael! With your videos, I've improved the quality of my beardie's life and how I interact with her. I'm much happier with her now and it's all thanks to your videos and your advice. :)

Michel, I was so excited to see this because I thought this would work with my adopted beardy. He is 3 years old and refuses to eat his greens. He puffs up when I reach in but, he won't open his mouth! He is extremely passive aggressive. He flattens out, and turns his head away. I tried to hydrate him by putting a drop of water on his nose and even a baby food mixture. All he does is shake it off! The only thing he will eat is live food and he is underweight, so I am not comfortable cutting him off protein entirely. Please help! This has been going on for 2 weeks.
