Hi! I finally got around to watching your other channel! We really do love all the same books (it’s just amazing)-You have to read The Moving Toyshop by Edmund Crispen. Also, I love, love, love those later Betsy books! I didn’t discover them until I was an adult, but it’s a comfort series for me that I read through every once in a while. I have both of the Miss Read books you got (same covers and everything) and they are so relaxing. I love Arnold Lobel books too. One of my favs is Mouse Tales (I know, big surprise), but it’s so cute and funny. 😅❤📚🐭
I'm telling you, when I first found your channel I kept gushing to my husband that I'd found somebody who like all the same things I did! 😆💛
I'll definitely take a look at that Edmund Crispen book! Once I'm through with my Lord Peter Wimsey kick... 😁
Oh! Now I'm even more excited to read the rest of that series. I'm making myself wait until after I'm done with Anne of Green Gables, but once that's finished I'm going to dive into the Betsy books.
Yes! I've read Mouse Tales too. We loved so many of his books when I was little. I forget sometimes that he did the Frog and Toad books too. ♥️
I love detective novels too! Agatha Christie is my favorite but I also love the Flavia deLuce series and the Shady Hollow series, among others. Haven't read any of the British Library crime classics yet! I've only read the first Lord Peter Wimsey book so far but really enjoyed it. I love using Hoopla for audiobooks. 😊 We have that Arnold Lobel illustrated poetry book that you mentioned and use it for morning time with my son. Did you know he's also the creator of Frog and Toad? Another of my son's favorites.
Isn't Agatha Christie just amazing?? Have you read her autobiography? It is brilliant! It made me love her even more. I haven't heard of those book series! I'll have to take a look at them. And I really recommend the British Library Crime Classics. Maybe I'll do a video at some point talking about my favorites. I so enjoy them!
Yes! I loved Frog and Toad growing up! There is an amazing knitting pattern to make a Frog and Toad and I'd love to knit it for my little boy. I can't wait to introduce him to those books when he's a bit older.
Hi agree these novels are so enjoyable. Every read PD James “Talking About Detective Fiction”?
I haven't! I've heard of P. D. James, but haven't yet read anything by her. I'll have to take a look at her books!
