I desperately wanted to be a model when I was younger. I just didn’t have the height. I have incredibly, strangely, long legs, but a short torso. Dang genetics!
1:59 "more women who are of healthy sizes and shapes"... For a lot of women, in fact maybe most, their natural "healthy weight" (aka how much they would weigh if they mostly eat clean and work out regularly but treat themselves sometimes) would be somewhere between the super skinny "ideal" and those plus size models, yet those in-between type of women are almost never shown. I've always found that a bit strange.
my understanding is that "super skinny" models have not been the trend for at least a decade already a quick google search for the "highest paid models" will yield names like Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Gigi and Bella Hadid, and maybe some other Victoria's Secret models... which of these models is actually "super skinny"? they can be described as slim or fit, but they are by no means "super skinny" in that they actually have toned muscles and look healthy... the physique is not easily attainable, yes, but isn't that the point of a model? you want someone who looks better than the average person I grew in an Asian environment, and there are plenty of average girls skinnier than these top models, and even then I still wouldn't say they are unhealthy what do you think? I'm genuinely curious
@@FreshPepper actually milan and paris aren't the best places to make money. London, Germany, Barcelona, China are better markets to make money. Milan and Paris are the places to be for HF modeling. NY is an alrounder but it takes a lot time until you make money there, if you are not the next big thing.
@Nikolina Marinković China, Hong Kong and Tokyo usually like commercial models for example having blue eyes and blonde hair. London, LA and Miami are better for curvy or short models and NY, Milan and Paris usually like tall and skinny editorial type models. Of course you can model anywhere but these are the types of models that are the most successful in these countries.
Nikolina Marinković New York,la,Orlando,are like the major places in the USA and you’ll usually get more work. I live in Oregon in the modeling scene isn’t that big.

Therefore try to showcase your brand (what is most interesting abt you, whether that be physical features or hobbies). Know your stuff (background info on modeling) and practice poses. You’re the perfect height for runway modeling, if you’re interested practice your runway walk. You’ve got this, never compare yourself- ever and I wish you so much luck. Even if modeling is for fun rather than wanting to become a top model, it could help you increase self confidence. Go for it, much love 💗

Hey guys sorry just wanted to correct a couple of mistakes from the video. Hight fashion modelling females need to be 5"8- 6'0 and for men 6'1- 6'3. I can confirm that guys will not be signed a fashion agency at 5"11 its too short. Next and most important bit please guys dont listen to what he's saying about the girls being severely under weight the industry doesnt entertain eating disorders and girls being underweight every six months the girls/ boys have to go for weight test/ health test to ensure models are healthly otherwise they can not do the shows/jobs. I have worked on shows that both men and females have been dropped from the job because they couldn't provide a medical certificate. Its important that he provides the right information the industry isnt starting to change putting forth more bigger girls theres only one which is that girl paloma shes very popular already but it wont last because the industry goes through phrases all the time. Winnie with her skin was a pharae. But the industry has a formate for fashion which works. So to say these girls are under weight is incorrect and saying that the plus size models are at a healthy weight is an insult to all the female and male models who naturally skinny. Heard 3 times ‘healthy weight’ when talking about-showing plus size models. 20+ kg is NOT a healthy weight (neither is runway model’s weight).
