Thank you for having interview based content. The insights provided were enlightening and offered a fresh perspective (coming from an agent). Your effort and work are truly appreciated! 👏🏾👏🏾✨✨
This is the new wave of modeling. I noticed agencies are becoming more lazier and expect the model to already come as a complete package. As she said, it would cost less for the agencies to develop them and its less of a sacrifice to sign a model that is already developed and have a great portfolio. The competition basically is already high, and ontop of that, agencies would rather take a developed person that invested their own money and time into the industry instead of a new face. Agencies are slowly doing less work and still expecting 20% of our pay. My advice is to get a great mother agent, or to do time for prints with photographers to have a variety of photos in your portfolio. Digitals are not really cutting it anymore.
I appreciate this comment and totally agree. Invested in a bootcamp from an agency (I’m an independent model) but and they have said the same thing of having a strong portfolio. Problem I’ve had for me it’s hard to find really good photographers that are even wanting to do T4P shoots that are up to industry standards. And on top of that, you have to have digitals every 3 months. That can get expensive to pay for. No one really wants to help develop, they want you to be the full package already. And don’t even get me started for lack of diversity (only stating as a black woman myself)
Wow I loved the subject of the video. This added a lot of knowledge to me as a model. I've already followed your channel but haven't yet seen your content. Thank you for creating this channel and sharing your knowledge and wisdom of the model industry. Also thank you to Ashley Stentts for giving us this amazing interview. 🙏❤️
So excited I found this channel. I’ll be launching my modeling career next year. I know it won’t be no where near easy especially being a black male. However, I’m confident and ready for the challenge!!! Keep up the good content 🤝
guys remember each time some give you their ideas. Remember they are just sharing their world. you are the one who builds your own world. and yes there is many successful petit model.
That was great Fresh, thank you, though I was expecting a bit more on male modelling specifically. But the general info was important to know too 😁👍🏼...
When they take size 10 at 5’4”, literally everyone can do it. The reason “beauty models” exist is because there aren’t many in the population, especially now. The magazines want to sell their products.
I’m 15 so would my age be a problem if I were to try and start modelling. Im a 6’2 male with a fit physique but I’m a bit lost and unsure if wether I can work under agencies or even work for that matter of fact cause if my age
Does anyone here have experience with natural hair vs straight hair for black models? How does the market respond? I feel like natural hair has been preferred by the market lately 🤔

Natural hair is definitely the trend right now
I’ve had a better response with straight hair than natural hair. So I think it depends on the market and what type of modeling you are in
@@blackbutterfye I see. What market were you in?
