Combining 10 classic F-Zero & Satellaview courses into 5 Hybrid tracks, F-ZERO: Hybrid brings new challenges to the familiar feel of F-ZERO's gameplay.
Courses are faithfully recreated including, AI behavior from the classic games. If you are a die-hard F-ZERO player, then turns, collisions & general flow should mirror what you are used to... until suddenly you find yourself driving on a different track!
Difficulty has been tuned to be accessible while remaining challenging amongst a wide variety of skill levels.

- 5 Unique Tracks which combine 10 Classic F-ZERO (6 from F-ZERO & 4 from BS F-ZERO 2 Practice) courses to form "Hybrid" League
- Second "Hybrid Mirror" league with courses flipped on their Y-Axis (Left turns become right, etc.)

- Customized Horizons / Color Palettes
- Custom Tiles & Tile Properties (Additional North / South jumps, other cosmetic changes.)

Unzip everything to a folder & patch an F-ZERO USA ROM (.sfc) with the included IPS. Be sure to name your patched ROM "f-zero-hybrid.sfc" for the new soundtrack to work!

BS F-Zero Deluxe, and now this ! What is this great month !
I like it. I think the only thing I would have done differently is put Mute Blue as the first track, but otherwise, this is really well done.
You are probably right in terms of difficulty. I chose it for course 3 to give a break in the pace - a quick thrill ride to give you a shot in the arm before you get punished on course 4 - It may get moved to the beginning of the league in the future (when I can find time for Hybrid+/II). Thanks for giving it a look!

Only seen one track thus far, but shit was dope.
Might I suggest using a patch to get the F-Zero 2 machines as well when you show off the other tracks? Tried the Lunabomber and ended up liking it a lot. Feels like Fire Stingray with faster acceleration and stiffer handling. It's speed is unmatched if you can handle the weaker grip and handling.
Is there a patch specific for the machines only without overwriting the course contents?
@@RemixRave The patch I used was called Original Ace Cars. Patched Hybrid in 1st, then patched the cars in. Didn't have any issues with the tracks or music.
I've encountered an issue regarding the soundtrack while patching it. Despite naming the file as instructed, the music is still the original.
Make sure all files are in the same folder and that you are patching to a USA rom (.sfc). Try restarting the rom as well. Hope this helps.

It's called Turbo Snail Slalom. Was supposed to be a SNES F-ZERO original before it made its way into the Hybrid ROM hack.

Does this track use a full map and it wraps around? Because you can see another track that looks like a duplicate of the one you're running on.
The map is designed to replicate the actual track, so wherever the marker is on the map should reflect your actual position. As it's Hybrid, the map is custom made to mix together two different original maps, but will not necessarily contain every part of the original map, in order to "stitch" them together.
Have to ask: Has F-Zero 99's Burning Mute City inspired you to make this Hybrid hack?

That would be a question best suited to the rom hack creator. I only contributed to the OST. I would think it was to do with the Satellaview tracks becoming available through recreation.
