ive had 2 of these , back buttons lasted 8 Months tops on the both ,broke down playing Destiny and mapped to slide , so i was not doing anything crazy with These things , insane ej
I have the edge since it dropped and i can say that I definitely saved myself from buying around 4 regular controllers by now. Im rough on them and its always the left stick that suddenly starts bugging out. I only changed the left stick on the edge 2x that $40 as opposed to buying about 4 controllers by now at about $280. Thank you mate, as usual high quality content... I always map the back buttons for rapid response, i.e. for FFXVI square and evade button are mapped on the back buttons; same for Forspoken. I always start with the normal profile and try to look for the buttons that need a rapid response and those are the ones I map, it could be evade, parry, etc...
Exactly! I see which buttons are going to take of my finger off the camera and movement, so I map them! Usually those buttons that you mentioned! if we have 4 of them, it could be much better!

One thing i noticed about it is that by using the trigger deadzones feature in one of the profiles you can make an instant hair trigger, which makes the controller itself use the trigger's analog input as a digital input, making it a lot more responsive

Probably in less than 5 days, Anti recoil is more likely easier control over recoil, so it's a different curve settings for each individual weapon, I'll show the method how to make it, and the rest could be done by the players for any game. @@akaoluoha6842
for L2/R2 trigger travel problem .. i have found a fix... install ds4 windows and lower the deadzone of those triggers for zero,,, and increase trigger sensitivity to 10... then there will be an option called two stage triggers... select is has hair trigger..trust me your triggers will be insta responsive just like mouse clicks.... also remember to put the triggers to shortest travel distance too

Would you say in most cases l1 + r1 is faster for shooting, even if you set l2 and r2 deadzone from 0-1? Thank you in advance!
Hi thanks, The Wireless Response is pretty fast, however, the cable is faster due to measurements, normally it's hard to even notice that.
for R2, if deadzone is in a mid zone like 50-51 and you get to use to push and release in that zone very fast, it could be faster than R1, otherwise, R1 might be easier for most people.
@@DanielZH Thats to high for me, I think when you set the first to 0 and the second to 1 there is no way to travel? Dont know of this helps but I'm playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and would be very interested to get the full potential
@@JoriNieer 50 you should also keep it all the time in the middle, yes 0 and 1 is also good as long as you release it all the way fast, but in the middle 50 to 50 if you keep that zone not going back, it might be faster due to shape and how it works.
@@DanielZH I tried 50 but it did not feel very natural, would you say 98-99 ist better maybe? So you can spam the button better I think, what do you mean? Maybe you can try it out for Read Dead Online 2?

Dualsenes Edge works great on Diablo 4. RPG's for maps faster. I love this contoller.

The longer back triggers can be reversed and used on the opposite sides too. I found that the most comfortable placement.

Yes. Since I found out they could be switched, I haven’t looked back. It’s more suitable for those of us with big hands and longer fingers to have a much more relaxed grip while playing and not squeezing those back triggers when clutching the controller.
I usually use it for call of duty mainly , but recently i been using for like games like madden / mlb / spider man etc because I like the feel of it

Hi! depending on the game and weapon it does, I also found in the games that needs 0 input for rapid shooting, having Start point on at least 50 and using zone 3 with a little push in between can be much faster in R2 instead of R1, even for COD, but it's a bit tricky to get used to!

Hi, this is updated, I'm using Dynamic and Quick Curve for SMG & AR. still, feel free to change to the one that feels better, I usually play with them for 2 hours then I try another one to see which gives me better reults

@@timwillems1985 I use 0-100 range as it starts faster, most of the time start at 0 would be better specially if you play with semi- and automatic weapons.

@@timwillems1985 Last night I was making some new tests in different games, and there's a lag if there's not enough delay before going back to input 0, for example in OW2, that's why from 0 is now faster than 99-100 overall, I'm about making a video about that and how to fix it in different games. as someone else also mentioned some bullets not being shot when having on 99-100.

Hi, there's an app called DSX on Steam, it supports Edge overlay on PC, but if you play on PS5, you must connect the controller to PC and PS5 at the same time to get the overlay which is not recommended, I only do it for testing videos.

Question. I got a ps5 controller from best buy and my itchy hands wanted a second one. Ordered it from Amazon and it arrived in the morning. I noticr the label in the back of the controller is different from the best buy. It's also 6 grams lighter. Do you think it can be a fake? It update out the box. Buttons sound good and the same. There 6 months apart. One in Jan and one today lol. 9/3/23
Hi, I'm not sure if there's fake edge out there already, but you should be able to Identify a fake controller by sticks and back buttons, feedback and more, it's normal to have different label in new ones though, or in different regions.

Yeah you can actually but not easy to do, and yes Edge is expensive.
I have huge fingers so I hold my index fingers on L2/R2 and my middle fingers on the back buttons (which I have mapped to L1/R1).

Hi, thanks, I'm not Arab btw, I'm Persian, You can save up to 3 profiles on the controller to use on any device, and in the console, you can make up to 50 presets and switch when you need to, You can't download profiles and import, it doesn't work that way.
and I also haven't seen many people share settings or profiles on the web, so it's mostly experimental and you'll find the settings that fit you well (which isn't hard)

Not sure, each weapon has a different behavior, must test to see which curve can help to make it easier to control at first while giving you a nomral behavior for the rest of the push.

Hi, you can't get it like cheaters or OW2, but R1 is the fastest way (IMO) so if you use it, you'll get rapid fire (faster shooting) for non automatic weapons.

Try to use in-game settings instead of changing curves in controller settings.
Cool may we all have it but may we all have the next Xbox answer to it, which will surely have more, incorporating Sony's Touchpad, adaptive triggers and other features that the best non-Sony, non-Microsoft controller gamepads like higi-end like Scuf's features and Victrix's.

Hmm, have you tried with Cable? As I tested it in multiple games, it has less delay than any Typical dualsense.

I use only first finger on R1/R2/L1/L2 and middle finger on back buttons

It's sad to hear that, mine was fine so far, did you replace it under warranty?
The initial replacement was facilitated under warranty terms, requiring me to cover shipping costs to the destination. In return, I received a refurbished controller after approximately 7 business days. After utilizing the refurbished unit for about 3 months, it encountered a malfunction, prompting me to initiate the warranty process once again. Although I haven't shipped it back yet, I managed a temporary fix by rearranging the paddles opposite left in right and right in left. While the controller is commendable, I believe enhancements in design, particularly modular or easily replaceable back buttons, would be beneficial for a product of its $200 price point, aiming for a higher standard of quality.

Simple fix for triggers dude, adjust input to 100 on both sides. Barely have to touch them to shoot

@@DanielZH and actually you can set it to 100 if you're adjusting the max input setting, minimum only goes to 99

@@kravista7 I mean, yea for the simple fact u can have multiple "profiles" saved to it for remapping the buttons.. don't know why ur using L1 and R1 though, there's actual triggers for a reason. Ur response time is effected too, moving fingers further than necessary. Can always remap back buttons on edge for L1 & R1

Everything shown on this video still works to this day, but also depends on the weapon in terms of R2 Vs R1
I would avoid this controller until Sony fixes the back button issue. Their braking easily on a lot of them. Lots of comments on redit. Just sent mine back.

Hi, you can use DS4 application and it's even possible to do scripts, or you can buy DSX on steam, soon, I'll do a full tutorial on PC for all 3 apps, Steam, DSX, and DS4.

You shouldn't use your ring finger for the back buttons. Use your middle fingers instead, your index fingers are for the bumpers and trigers
I used to play like that, after playing OW2 which requires all buttons to access at once I switched and TBH it's more comfortable this way for me. I was more accurate in the past though.

Had it from release, have left stick on digital -2,-3 and have the right stick on steady either -1 or +1 depending on fps.
Have the left trigger full haptics
And the right trigger on the lowest..
Have the left trigger at 1-100 and the right 1-60

I bought the DualSense Edge with the hopes of takin’ My Rocket League game to the next two levels, well ironically I went from Champ2 to D1 lmfao almost back down to Plat ? ? Of course it goes without saying it’s My fault, && when I play with either a normal PS5 Dualsense or My PS4 DualShocks I can feel an obvious difference && could easily get back up but I’ve gone all in on My experimental downfall using the DualSense Edge. Not one article on the internet literally just one video here on TH-cam talking about the DualSense Edge && Rocket League!
