I have the edge since it dropped and i can say that I definitely saved myself from buying around 4 regular controllers by now. Im rough on them and its always the left stick that suddenly starts bugging out. I only changed the left stick on the edge 2x that $40 as opposed to buying about 4 controllers by now at about $280. for L2/R2 trigger travel problem .. i have found a fix... install ds4 windows and lower the deadzone of those triggers for zero,,, and increase trigger sensitivity to 10... then there will be an option called two stage triggers... select is has hair trigger..trust me your triggers will be insta responsive just like mouse clicks.... also remember to put the triggers to shortest travel distance too

Yes. Since I found out they could be switched, I haven’t looked back. It’s more suitable for those of us with big hands and longer fingers to have a much more relaxed grip while playing and not squeezing those back triggers when clutching the controller.

Hi thanks, The Wireless Response is pretty fast, however, the cable is faster due to measurements, normally it's hard to even notice that. for R2, if deadzone is in a mid zone like 50-51 and you get to use to push and release in that zone very fast, it could be faster than R1, otherwise, R1 might be easier for most people.

@@JoriNieer 50 you should also keep it all the time in the middle, yes 0 and 1 is also good as long as you release it all the way fast, but in the middle 50 to 50 if you keep that zone not going back, it might be faster due to shape and how it works.

Hi, there's an app called DSX on Steam, it supports Edge overlay on PC, but if you play on PS5, you must connect the controller to PC and PS5 at the same time to get the overlay which is not recommended, I only do it for testing videos.

I always start with the normal profile and try to look for the buttons that need a rapid response and those are the ones I map, it could be evade, parry, etc...

Hi, I'm not sure if there's fake edge out there already, but you should be able to Identify a fake controller by sticks and back buttons, feedback and more, it's normal to have different label in new ones though, or in different regions.

Hi, thanks, I'm not Arab btw, I'm Persian, You can save up to 3 profiles on the controller to use on any device, and in the console, you can make up to 50 presets and switch when you need to, You can't download profiles and import, it doesn't work that way. and I also haven't seen many people share settings or profiles on the web, so it's mostly experimental and you'll find the settings that fit you well (which isn't hard)
Not sure, each weapon has a different behavior, must test to see which curve can help to make it easier to control at first while giving you a nomral behavior for the rest of the push.
Hi, you can't get it like cheaters or OW2, but R1 is the fastest way (IMO) so if you use it, you'll get rapid fire (faster shooting) for non automatic weapons.
I'm thinking of reselling this controller it sucks from the delay on the keys I have the impression that the original controller is much better for fifa the dualsense edge is not designed for shooting games yes but football the original controller remains the best

Hi! depending on the game and weapon it does, I also found in the games that needs 0 input for rapid shooting, having Start point on at least 50 and using zone 3 with a little push in between can be much faster in R2 instead of R1, even for COD, but it's a bit tricky to get used to!
Had it from release, have left stick on digital -2,-3 and have the right stick on steady either -1 or +1 depending on fps. Have the left trigger full haptics And the right trigger on the lowest.. Have the left trigger at 1-100 and the right 1-60 Enjoy unreal aim. Deadzones to own preference as wear is unknown.
The initial replacement was facilitated under warranty terms, requiring me to cover shipping costs to the destination. In return, I received a refurbished controller after approximately 7 business days. After utilizing the refurbished unit for about 3 months, it encountered a malfunction, prompting me to initiate the warranty process once again. Although I haven't shipped it back yet, I managed a temporary fix by rearranging the paddles opposite left in right and right in left. While the controller is commendable, I believe enhancements in design, particularly modular or easily replaceable back buttons, would be beneficial for a product of its $200 price point, aiming for a higher standard of quality.

I would avoid this controller until Sony fixes the back button issue. Their braking easily on a lot of them. Lots of comments on redit. Just sent mine back.
@@kravista7 I mean, yea for the simple fact u can have multiple "profiles" saved to it for remapping the buttons.. don't know why ur using L1 and R1 though, there's actual triggers for a reason. Ur response time is effected too, moving fingers further than necessary. Can always remap back buttons on edge for L1 & R1
I used to play like that, after playing OW2 which requires all buttons to access at once I switched and TBH it's more comfortable this way for me. I was more accurate in the past though.

I bought the DualSense Edge with the hopes of takin’ My Rocket League game to the next two levels, well ironically I went from Champ2 to D1 lmfao almost back down to Plat ? ? Of course it goes without saying it’s My fault, && when I play with either a normal PS5 Dualsense or My PS4 DualShocks I can feel an obvious difference && could easily get back up but I’ve gone all in on My experimental downfall using the DualSense Edge. Not one article on the internet literally just one video here on TH-cam talking about the DualSense Edge && Rocket League!
The problem(s) with the DS edge are - it’s an investment that doesn’t pay off until you realise you just need a new stick as let’s be honest these are the first to go on any controller! And then the second drawback is that you only got two paddles! All four would have been nice but in all honesty if you have the money to invest DO IT. You won’t regret it! But if you only go through one or two controllers in a consoles life span then this probably isn’t for you 🤷♂️

The longer back triggers can be reversed and used on the opposite sides too. I found that the most comfortable placement.

Yeah you can actually but not easy to do, and yes Edge is expensive.

I have huge fingers so I hold my index fingers on L2/R2 and my middle fingers on the back buttons (which I have mapped to L1/R1).

Hi, you can't get it like cheaters or OW2, but R1 is the fastest way (IMO) so if you use it, you'll get rapid fire (faster shooting) for non automatic weapons.

I'm thinking of reselling this controller it sucks from the delay on the keys I have the impression that the original controller is much better for fifa the dualsense edge is not designed for shooting games yes but football the original controller remains the best
Hmm, have you tried with Cable? As I tested it in multiple games, it has less delay than any Typical dualsense.

Hi! depending on the game and weapon it does, I also found in the games that needs 0 input for rapid shooting, having Start point on at least 50 and using zone 3 with a little push in between can be much faster in R2 instead of R1, even for COD, but it's a bit tricky to get used to!
I feel dumb for never having considered switching R1 with R2 before for rapid firing until now.

Hi, as far as I tested with 4 different brands, you can use any type of USB C data cable (even from apple) for PS5 to edge.
Had it from release, have left stick on digital -2,-3 and have the right stick on steady either -1 or +1 depending on fps.
Have the left trigger full haptics
And the right trigger on the lowest..
Have the left trigger at 1-100 and the right 1-60
Enjoy unreal aim.
Deadzones to own preference as wear is unknown.

After utilizing the refurbished unit for about 3 months, it encountered a malfunction, prompting me to initiate the warranty process once again. Although I haven't shipped it back yet, I managed a temporary fix by rearranging the paddles opposite left in right and right in left. While the controller is commendable, I believe enhancements in design, particularly modular or easily replaceable back buttons, would be beneficial for a product of its $200 price point, aiming for a higher standard of quality.

I would avoid this controller until Sony fixes the back button issue. Their braking easily on a lot of them. Lots of comments on redit. Just sent mine back.

Simple fix for triggers dude, adjust input to 100 on both sides. Barely have to touch them to shoot

@@kravista7 I mean, yea for the simple fact u can have multiple "profiles" saved to it for remapping the buttons.. don't know why ur using L1 and R1 though, there's actual triggers for a reason. Ur response time is effected too, moving fingers further than necessary. Can always remap back buttons on edge for L1 & R1

You shouldn't use your ring finger for the back buttons. Use your middle fingers instead, your index fingers are for the bumpers and trigers
I used to play like that, after playing OW2 which requires all buttons to access at once I switched and TBH it's more comfortable this way for me. I was more accurate in the past though.

I bought the DualSense Edge with the hopes of takin’ My Rocket League game to the next two levels, well ironically I went from Champ2 to D1 lmfao almost back down to Plat ? ? Of course it goes without saying it’s My fault, && when I play with either a normal PS5 Dualsense or My PS4 DualShocks I can feel an obvious difference && could easily get back up but I’ve gone all in on My experimental downfall using the DualSense Edge. Not one article on the internet literally just one video here on TH-cam talking about the DualSense Edge && Rocket League!

The problem(s) with the DS edge are - it’s an investment that doesn’t pay off until you realise you just need a new stick as let’s be honest these are the first to go on any controller! And then the second drawback is that you only got two paddles! All four would have been nice but in all honesty if you have the money to invest DO IT. You won’t regret it! But if you only go through one or two controllers in a consoles life span then this probably isn’t for you 🤷♂️
