- Alec Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial opened with the prosecutor describing the horrifying moment he accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchin to death. Prosecutors also played a chilling video of frantic efforts to save Hutchin's life. The jury heard a 911 call made by a script supervisor moments after the shooting. She can be heard blaming the tragedy on an assistant director, not on Baldwin. If found guilty, he faces up to 18 months.
How is the prop master on the set not responsible for this? An actor is handed the gun right before the scene, they don’t carry it around. None of this makes any sense.
If you were an actor, would you take someone's word that the gun wasn't loaded before you point it directly at someone? I sure as hell wouldn't. Actor or not, it's his responsibility at the very end. If the rule was that he wasn't allowed to inspect it, then he should have quit the movie or changed the rule, learned about firearms, and then checked the weapon himself. Yes, it was an accident, and yes, there were other people at fault, but a good majority of the fault lies with him.
Literally my same exact thought
The "prop master" or armorer had previously been charged, found guilty, and sentenced.
Any idiot knows to check the chamber of a gun and especially to NOT POINT IT AT SOMEONE and PULL THE TRIGGER
@@xjcrossxno if I'm a actor I wouldn't suspect that there was a real bullet I would trust the prop master why bcus I know it was a prop everyone around me knows it's a prop so it's on the prop master and not me
So now all actors who handle guns have to be fire arms experts too?
Now they must ban real guns on set.
It would definitely help. I mean would you rather have someone who knows guns and respects them. Or Someone who flings it around like a toy.
@@CASH-THE-NERDso when you get your car repaired and the mechanic forgets a few lugnuts then you get on the freeway and your wheel falls off then you start rolling and the tire hits the windshield on the opposite side of the freeway is that your fault or the mechanics?
I’m assuming it would be your fault right since whoever drives a car should be experts on every aspect of a car
@@Gabri3lRocha That’s a good point, but it still supports my argument. I was saying it would definitely help if you knew guns. Just like in this instance if I knew my car I would have noticed that the nuts were missing so no one was hurt. Just like if he knew guns that photographer wouldn’t have been killed.
I mean none of this makes sense. Why would anybody hit him a gun with real bullets in. It doesn't make sense like who put the bullets in it if it wasn't him and there's no proof of it being him whoever handles the props should be the one up for being in prison
The armorer has already been found guilty and sentenced, dear.
It's a real gun. In CA when you buy a gun you have to take a safety test, and safety 101 is you always check the chamber to make sure it's empty. He was not following safety rules ,and in real life a normal person would get some sort of punishment for being reckless with a gun.
@@loveforeignaccents not for long tho only 19 months
@@michaellutzo2215 Actually 18 months, not 19, and that's how much time Alec is looking at if convicted, which is not fair cuz that was not his responsibility.
They have to prove that he knew that they were real bullets?
He may have anger issues, but i dont like he did this on purpose. 🤷🏿♂️
Yeah,that struck me as odd.
No. EVERY firearm is to be treated as if it was loaded at all times. Firearm safety 101. This rule was created exactly to prevent such incidents.
Well, if he did it on purpose he would be facing 1st degree murder charges. The defense is that he did not do anything that he knowingly thought would cause bodily harm or death.
Agree but he knew never point any gun at any person. He is arrogant.
Rules aren’t for Mr Alec Baldwin.
The defense attorney making it sound like Alex wanted to purposely kill her but he never planned to kill anyone because he is supposed to have blank rounds to begin with
Planned or not, she's dead and it's his fault. Can't understand you actor-worshipping npcs
@@j-wei4603 but whoever put that real bullet in there say if they hadn’t then that person would have been alive today?
@@j-wei4603 I really don't care about this actor but I totally disagree about his fault here , but I hope justice will prevail
He did want to kill her
Alec Baldwin didn't even notice that the gun has real bullets and the director of the movie says It was suppose to be filled with blanks. So, I don't blame him for this because he didn't plan to kill anyone which is not his intention.
If the scene called for him to point the gun to his own head, would he have checked it before pulling the trigger?
Ask Jon-Erik Hexum
Well that's an interesting question. Hmmmm.
nope probably not.
No, he wouldn't have. Just like in every movie someone does that
That’s such a bad argument.
“I didn’t pull the trigger” shows him pulling the trigger🤣
He is such a liar errr
Ban real guns on set.
They have been using real guns for 100 years. Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, etc, etc. Its the Prop masters fault 100%. That is the reason they were hired.
They're not supposed to be on set in the first place. This is on the prop master, assistant Director and Director
but he is an actor, given a 'prop' gun that had a live ammunition. uhhhh why should they convict him of that???
The lady calling in seems unconcerned and hateing on the actor. Id be suspicious of her.
If its in his acting contract to check the gun he should be guilty. If its not well too bad not his problem.
The part that gets me is “I didn’t pull the trigger”… can he still go with that? Didn’t they rule that out in the armorer case?
alec baldwin is being held to a high standard that cops aren’t often held to.
Seriously, had to get on your soapbox huh…lol😂
@@ivanthecheese9119 i mean it’s true. its not like the cops who kill unarmed people or kill the wrong people in botched police raids ever get held to this standard.
Why would someone even give him a loaded gun is beyond me
I don't care for him but I'm sticking up for him on this case! It's not his damn job to do a safety inspection on a gun! Yes, in gun safety courses they teach you to never to hold a gun up to anyone unless to protect yourself and others. I truly believe he doesn't know anything about guns. He probably held it up not giving any thought the dang thing was loading. I do agree that he shouldn't have never tested that theory out. Also why did the producer have real gun? Didn't they learn from the movie Crow to never use real guns?
Exactly. This is exactly why a film set hires professionals for this kind of stuff. If the armor had done her job this wouldn’t have happened
I met him years ago. Hes NOT a nice man
I know what you mean. Tom Welling wasn't really nice to me when I met him. He wouldn't even ask how I was doing. So, I'll take your word for it when it comes to Alec Baldwin. He's clearly an egomaniac from the footage they're showing here.
What relevance is that?
A lot of people don't realize too Jim Carrey isn't nice, how he was on the movie Set to the Grinch that's basically how he is on a daily basis.
@@samariapenaloza6106 ->Who is the arbiter of who is nice and not nice? Also, how exactly is being nice or not nice relevant in a court of law?
And who cares?
Why the hell would a loaded weapon, let alone a REAL GUN, be allowed on a film set to begin with?? I'm not a firearms expert, obviously, but as someone with common sense, someone would've thought of that before bringing those onto the set to begin with.
It's like as if someone brought in real tear gas for a Batman villain movie scene, it's used without the user or people knowing it's real, and then someone gets hurt.
Hopefully we can get more details but this is ridiculous.
Most celebrities walk in trials.
Reminds me of The Crow incident
That's what I always think. If I remember correctly that was a manufacturing mistake. They put live ammo in a box that said blanks.
@@LLandS18 It’s pretty obvious when a bullet is a blank or it’s live. The key is there is no “bullet in a blank” so any body who knows guns would have noticed a live round from a blank.
@@CASH-THE-NERD yeah okay. Don't know why you're coming so hard but the crow the movie that came out in the '90s. The manufacturer of the bullets made a mistake and sent out about a hundred boxes of bullets that were labeled as blank but were not. They were live ammo. So calm down. I'm not talking about rust. Read the original comment. Not everything's an argument on TH-cam.
@@CASH-THE-NERD okay the movie The Crow back in the '90s. A manufacturer in the United States labeled boxes wrong. They accidentally sent owed a hundred rounds to this studio that said they were blanks and they were not. I don't know why you're arguing with me. No idea that's what happened.
@@LLandS18 I didn’t mean to be harsh. I didn’t know what the crow incident was, I was pointing out the fact that the armorer or anybody should have realized it was a live round. I’m sorry if I came off the wrong way.👍
Throwing blame...
Nobody knows where the bullet came from and he also just randomly pulls the trigger come on
There was zero reason for him to believe it was a real bullet loaded into the gun, because that doesn't happen on movie sets period. Ever. The fact that this is still going on is wild to me. He has zero responsibility in the situation, other than he happened to be the one handling the gun. He has no responsibility to checking it is loaded or not, or knowing whether or not it's a real gun.
i dont understand how alec is on trial when the armorer was found guilty already....and hes an actor its not his job....
Baldwin hiding those poached egg eye bags with mr. Magoo glasses.
He is partly at fault. Anyone saying he's not, if you were an actor, would you pull out and point a loaded gun at someone without knowing for absolute sure that nothing bad could happen? He clearly didn't do that. He's not the only one at fault, but shares the blame.
Did that lady recommend professional being under meds while testifying? She should be fired.
Anyone saying it’s his fault is insane
I think the person who brought the "prop" in to begin with should be there in court as well
I seen THAT Family He Needs A 18 Month Vacation
He pulled the trigger. What intrigue me is, did he really know if there were real bullets in the gun.
no
He POINTED 👉 and Pulled The Trigger
It’s a movie set though? Actors point guns at other actors all the time whenever there’s an action scene? If Alec had pointed the gun at any other actor on set for a scene the result would have been the same. There was a live bullet regardless and it’s not his job the be an expert on what is a live bullet and what is a prop bullet. That’s the whole reason they hire gun experts. Literally the whole reason

Waste of time it was an accident at work
Will there be a Rust 2?
Highly unlikely.
@@1f5sda Rust was a great Movie. I saw it in London last year.
Alec's testimony would be as good as Prince Andrews interview!
There someone on set whos responsibility it is, the "firearms expert" aka the armorer, had one job, qnd and failed. Yes alec probably should have double checked but there is a person whos job it is, legally required to be certified, on set, and failed.
Why point it at her in the first place? You always point away. Treat it as a real weapon whether it is or not.
How about just charge the director or prop person maybe idk I'm just yapping
HE IS NOT A NICE MAN!
Alec needs to have his lawyer go after the prop master. This scene has been done thousands of times and I can’t imagine the amount of times actors and actresses have “double checked” a weapon before using it for a scene being more than a handful of times. Can you tell if a prop has been loaded with real bullets or not ? Therefore the actor is pointing a weapon in the direction of a person with the mindset of it being a prop loaded with blanks.
Why did he point the gun at the cinematographer????? Why????? She was not an actor in the scene!!!! So why point the gun at her??? Please. Someone explain that to me.
Wait, they still released the movie?
The Baldwins show bout to flop harder than a lazy bullet
Not his fault.
Alec has handled 21 guns in 11 movies and one tv show that all went off without a hitch and this is one that put's him in the hot seat?
it's probably a union town thing...the supervisor on the set is usually a Mexican who just got out of prison after a 15 year sentence
I told you so
The fact that they’re trying to pin this on Baldwin is insane.
Trump should do an impression of him now. 😅
It's tough to be an actor and a lot of people want things from you and I think he was set up or someone put the bullet there for something. Why that's the big reason now it's turned to being to be in court
'me thinks baldwin did it, he's guilty..'
Time for prison!!!!! Send Alec Baldwin to prison for life!!!!
Oh gosh
Let Audacious Alec Baldwin rust in jail. 👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿
Is this trial STILL going on?? Poor Alec… I’m starting to feel he is being scapegoated simply because he’s a celeb. How on earth was he supposed to know the damn thing had live ammo. That literally wasn’t his job.
Evidently a lot of you in the comments don’t understand what involuntary manslaughter is… SMH. This isn’t a murder trial.
Dude it’s not his fault! I mean, since when have movie producers given actors an ACTUAL GUN??? He couldn’t have known it was real, and it was a test and it wasn’t like he was trying to kill someone.
The person in charge of the movie props should be held accountable for neglecting to relay proper safety instructions, or for even letting the dude have an actual gun!
As unfortunate as the whole situation is, he did indeed commit involuntary manslaughter. He didn’t intentionally mean to fire the gun but in result it killed someone. You can’t just accidentally kill someone and have no consequences. The most he’s gonna get is what the Armour girl got which was like only a year and half prison time which will prob end up being like half that time with probation.
I disagree. What negligent, reckless or illegal actions did he take? He is just an actor and he was given a prop gun which he had been assured was not loaded with real bullets. How was he supposed to know some idiot would put a real bullet into a prop gun?
Such a dumb trial. Have some decency and let the people involved grieve in peace
not guilty
He never looks like it bothers him.
There not telling us something
The armorer was the one that put the live bullet in.
Everyone in this country is going crazy trying to scapegoat an actor since they want vengeance; instead of the fact a professional let a live round on set and it killed someone. That’s the prop master or gun professionals fault.
Free Baldwin
He was pointing the gun at everyone on set: I’m a cowboy!
Somehow we ignore the prop master wow i cant imagine actaully being at fault for killing someone and not have any consequences
If he had just kept his mouth shut.
This was not his fault. But he's come across like a jerk. Not a friggin murderer, a jerk.
😂she said under meds
Who put a lifebullet in the gun 🧐
He was very loose with handling those weapons. I think he is guilty.
Say good bye to action films! No more pointing guns at people in movies...😂
Only in America could this happen
How dare them blame him! He’s not to blame
it was an accident, was it?
someone obviously set him up....
Hate crime. Cause this is a long explanation behind explaining that guns behind incompetent people is bad. Hold any gun, real or fake, like its loaded and can hurt someone.
I agree about the safety part. I treat a bb gun like a real one just by habit.
I feel like the people who work on the movie and prop master should be charged
It's a prop gun he had no clue that it was real Bullet in the gun it wouldn't have been up to him to check it that's why you've got procedures to make sure that his who's busy getting into character and remembering his lines that's what he's thinking of
Well we new this would happen he’s a big time democrat
Lock him up !!!!
Baldwin refused to take the gun safety class!!! Baldwin pointed a gun at someone
Did it happen in the🇺🇸🤔😢😖
1 hour and only 5,000 views 🎉
Why is he smirking? He finds this funny?
Well, I laughed at how overly exaggerating the offense lawyer was being. Why would an A list celebrity ruin the opportunity to make millions and be in a movie by deleting the person making it?
Send him to jail
I don't want alec baldwin to get be rejected from Hollywood, who agrees with me.
He'll get off Scot free. Two tier justice system....he's rich and famous. Us peasants would have been arrested immediately.
The DA is weak. He will get away.
Just a matter of time before Alex starts his acting role and starts shedding crocodile tears.
Wow the person who voiced the baby in the boss baby
Yes, same person.
I didnt know the bullet was dipped in snake venom and poison until baldwins Attorney said thats what it was.
Only a rich and famous person could commit cold blooded murder on film and still be on trial for it. Any other demographic and its jail straight to jail.
Looks like somebody have things agains alek , because whole situation is really strange
I never liked him, he seems to have anger issues...but I don t believe he did this on purpurse.
No worries, George Clooney should be making a comment soon.
Not his fault, ifgaf. where did the live rounds come from???
Did he point at her or a camera she was stood next to . The intervening act of a live round being placed in without his knowledge wouldn’t make him guilty under English law . The act of another unbeknown to him is a solid defence . Why would he employ a weapons / props specialist whom he felt would ever place a live round in the handgun ??? I think if he’s found guilty it would be a gross miscarriage of justice . It seems the district attorneys in the USA like to get prominent scalps for political mileage . Here in England the crown prosecutor is not a politician or political appointee. He’s a public servant employed by the ministry of justice . Far better situation .
Of course you walk uncle Alec.💐
It’s not his fault
Baldwin is Colonial Nathan R Jessup for real. He will make his appearance and have his say.
