I’m a Norwegian and I enjoy every day there when I visit Singapore. Being able to walk wherever you like, whenever you like, being safe and feeling safe, will you be able to so that many same size cities anywhere else in the world? Also I lived in Singapore for more than ten years and totally enjoyed it. So my feeling is that this video try to paint as negative picture of Singapore as possible. And using robots. For surveillance or saving labor? Did the program maker consider, or was painting a negative picture the main purpose?

You do realize that the pervasive government surveillance means that every single aspect of your life can be monitored, tracked, and stored right? Would you want the government to know what you're buying, watching, reading online? Now imagine if the Singpass system got hacked, now someone other than you/ the government have access to all that data. Would you want someone else to have possession of the most sensitive information about you and access to your bank account?
What about if you disagree with the government politically? That could lead to dedicated surveillance on you, and what happens when they deem you to be violating one law or another because of your views?

This documentary has a false narrative, Singapore is an absolutely liberal state. There is so much freedom, low taxes, easy to conduct business, affordable living, excellent health facilities. In fact some of us in Australia travelled to Singapore for specialised medical treatment. The state is clean, fresh, modern & the people are amazingly friendly. Singapore is my favourite stopover, when ever we are flying out from OZ and most of us will only peruse Singapore Airlines. ❤

US prison system holds most prisons in the world and they will say like your comment, our juristic system is human and freedom or is it really?
In US an average 800 plus people killed per week just by gun violence alone ( yet you are complaining DEATH SENTENCE).
In Singapore 99.99% people feel safe at their own home, shopping centres, schools and public places, on contrary large number of people in US are living in constantly fear by gun violence, drug abuse, racial hatred crime, mental illness caused violence. Human rights are not preserved in US many cities and states because of high crime rate and under funded policing.

You can choose either less security protection but a lot of crimes ( like in America and drug trafficking ) or strictly security measures but less crimes like right now. Your choice. I live in California, I never go to any events which has a lot of people because there are a lot of mass shooting and crimes. It is so dangerous to walk around at night in California.
So Singapore should keep strict rules like that, don’t change. Don’t copy from America, cos it’s so bad for people and for living

Irony is that most of them who complain also vote for the paps to continue paptopia. They know they should change their voting habits but fear, greed and stupidity holds them in thrall.

People are never happy... its not a perfect city, but its way better than most places in the world. But yeah, people will always find a way to complaint. There are rules, yes, but that allows for a peaceful coexistence among many different religions, and races. People have comfortable life's, criminality is not accepted.... but people complaint. And yes, you are under surveillance, but same happens in the UK, in the US, in China, In russia, etc etc... the only people that should be afraid of CCTV are the ones thinking about breaking rules and commit crimes. People need rules, because we are still in a state of evolution that make us selfish, greedy and with few empathy towards others that are different.

I like to live in Singapore. I am a law-abiding person. I want law and order. But I am back to Malaysia for bigger space. You want something you must pay for it. You want a secure home you need a security guard, right.

To the hospitals with the AI “robots”. What happens when you miss the call due to work to whatever. Then you have to call the hospital to reschedule the call? Just call and ask to speak to the patient. Man they think they are being innovative to help. But it’s just a slower process of doing simple things. Also they will break or if the WiFi goes out. Nothing can replace human contact. Also. In health. Personal contact it better for health. Just like they say laughter is the best medicine. Damn smart ppl can be so dumb. But I get it. It’s another fake market to make money on.

Nothing is more precious than "natural" freedom , rich in material wealth is only second best,
Just be oneself, the freedom, not being "owned and programmed by faceless characters in the government " shouldn't be taken for granted, yeap, can be taken away.

      Rev 13:16-17 NASB
"And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name."

Why did this doc use a criminal/misfit to point out Singapore characteristics? Healthy attitude towards sex; crime stats & judicial enforcement impressive; prisons NOT a business(U.S.) ; Legal (lawyer ) system seems really effective/efficient vs "legal system in U.S. which bleeds us of $ & gives baddies more rights than victims, & endless appeals, etc). Where are slums? Homeless?
