Poi ho ho iniziato a fare robe mie e a distribuire i miei lavori a chi mi sembrava idoneo,in un Mondo di GRANDI,ho sempre chiesto prima. Poi sai che c'è una Commissione che decide,se magari dare il lavoro ad un una Artista o ad un un' altra. Queste decisioni che spettano alla Commissione. Io ho studiato perché ho una Borsa di Studio. Ma non è che non sappia fare niente, tutt'altro. È che non mi pagano mai. E questo non è giusto né per me ne' per altri. Sono 40 anni che sentite la mia Voce e poi le Cose Meravigliose che ho creato io. Vieni a vedere dove abito così dici basta anche tu. Always considered him a genius and never changed my opinion that he is the Virtuoso of the modern world. He can deliver me and probably millions of listeners into other dimension where people are able to flow with their dreams, feel the music inside and out... Each of his albums is like a new journey to the center of the Earth. MAGIC !!! I have been with Mike's music for over 40 years and still mesmerized... Hope this ride will never end...

from beginning to end ive always felt mike oldfields albums told a story. every note just fits together perfectly. when i was 15 i used to lie on my bed with my eyes closed and listen to Songs Of Distant Earth. i would cry because it just seemed to "fit" me so much. like it was speaking to me...hard to explain but there are very, very few artists who have affected me the way Oldfield has...

I had the pleasure of performing this with my son and others at a concert about 2014, I played piano with my son and three of his friends on guitars with others on bass, drums, percussion and synths. My son and I did the arrangement. People in the theatre group where we played still rave about it today. While I have the double DVD of the full Mike Oldfield concert, which also includes T.B.3, thank you for posting this.

He lived in that area for a while as far as I'm aware. I have TB and TB2 on vinyl - apparently original 1992 pressings of the latter are pretty rare! Third one on order for release in 4 days :) three brilliant albums by a musical genius
I am lead to believe he live somewhere in the hills around Kington Herefordshire hence the tital of one of his albums Hergest Ridge and ommadawn had the Hereford male voice quire in it. I had the privilege of watching him perform TH II at the Royal Albert hall in 92/93 in think, to this day one of if not the best concert I've been to.

I was there with my brother and although it is now a very long time ago the memory is still very clear. Terrific night and even more precious given Mike's limited live appearances in the UK thereafter.
One of my favorite pieces from TB II. Where and when was this concert? I saw him for his US debut performance on my birthday in 1982 at the Ritz Theater in NYC. It was wonderful! Then again in 1993 in Los Angeles - another wonderful performance. I noticed he said his performance at the Olympics in 2012 was his last public performance, making the two I attended more precious too. I wish he would change his mind about that! There is no one like him!
This was the opening track at my father's funeral. Grew up listening to this album while driving through France with the family. Always loved it and it will now have an even more special place in my heart. Thanks Mike Oldfield for creating this masterpiece!

I was there with my brother and although it is now a very long time ago the memory is still very clear. Terrific night and even more precious given Mike's limited live appearances in the UK thereafter.

One of my favorite pieces from TB II. Where and when was this concert? I saw him for his US debut performance on my birthday in 1982 at the Ritz Theater in NYC. It was wonderful! Then again in 1993 in Los Angeles - another wonderful performance. I noticed he said his performance at the Olympics in 2012 was his last public performance, making the two I attended more precious too. I wish he would change his mind about that! There is no one like him!
This was the opening track at my father's funeral. Grew up listening to this album while driving through France with the family. Always loved it and it will now have an even more special place in my heart. Thanks Mike Oldfield for creating this masterpiece!
I saw this live in The Hague in 1993. And yes, Mike is one of the few that sticks out above the contemporary musicians.
