- A quick video of my recent purchase : Kiesel Zeus 8 !
Plays amazing, the neck is a bit fatter than Ibanez but really comfortable.
The build quality is absolutely stuning. The vibrato itself absolutely worth every penny you pay for. The design without machine head tuners allows me to put a 0.84 for the 8th string instead of a classical 0.74.
So far a really excellent 8 string guitar !

Hi, thanks ! Yes the Kiesel / Hipshot headless 8 trem is very stable. A bit steep because of the amount of tension due to the 2 extra strings but no tunning issue whatsoever. with 27" scale the 8th in E can be intonated correctly, no issue neither
How did you transition to eight string? I'm considering getting an 8, but have only played 7.
Hi, it took me some time to get used to 8 strings. I was coming from 7 too. But i have added a low E instead of a low F#.
8 string trem…really want one but that might be a nightmare for me cause I change my lowest strings a lot
If you change tunings a lot, I don't recommend a trem
Kiesel propose toujours des designs de gratte vraiment intéressants. Parfois certains modèles sont à la limite du moche, mais là j'aime beaucoup le contraste des couleurs et des textures sur le corps. Et du coup entre ta Kiesel 8 cordes et ta Strandberg Boden 8 cordes, laquelle tu préfères ? :) Quelle marque te parait la meilleure ?
Vu que tu peux tout customiser chez Kiesel...Tu peux avoir de tout en termes de rendu haha.
Alors, Kiesel Zeus vs Strandberg Boden 8 ... le principe a l'air d'être le même mais en vrai les guitares sont très différentes. La Strandberg c'est vraiment quelque chose d'unique avec notamment ce manche. Y a plus rien qui ressemble à quelque chose de classique, tant dans le jeu que dans le son très typé et un peu droit. La Kiesel ça reste un instrument plus comme une guitare qu'on a l'habitude de jouer mais avec un design différent. Pour le coup je préfère la Kiesel car c'est plus adapté à ce que je joue, tant en termes d'aisance que de son -> Metal prog, solos etc.

Great playing brother but the point of an 8 string is to make use of the the LOW strings, you never even touched them.
