Dude, thank you so much for showing us this guitar clean. I believe that hearing a guitar through tons of distortion without listening to a sampling of clean sounds really doesn’t tell us how the guitar sounds at all.

Sounds great!! Btw its funny how the manufacturers grade the wood as 4A or 5A when they are selling a guitar. Every guitar builder that I have spoken with have said that there is only good & bad wood.
Generally yes, but there are definitely different grades of streakyness or amounts of burls or whatever, at least for my Kiesel builds I can see differences. Though, you’re right, it’s most of the time a question of personal liking of the person who does the grading...
As a guitar builder i approve this information , but by some correction, i graduate wood by 3 categories, 1 bad that goes to garbage automatically, good and unique or special' the last one is one to a 50 lumbers that shows .special traits. and this graduation of 5AAA OR 1 MILLION A what ever A for my opinion is for good selling to the richest people. in addition i must tell you that i also do not believe to all stories about wood age ,for example many builders & manufactures tells as that it made from 50-60 years old High 5AAAAA quality wood,i would like to see 1 storage at least that stores it wood, because as HVAC engineer that works with different storage owners & customers, for different products i can say that it wood needs alot of logistic ,alot of HVAC conditions ,like right temperature & humidity to preserve wood quality & traits, so my question is : who pays for 60 years right storage, for the place bills, for HVAC system, for maintenance ,for energy for employees and for a risks if it quality will remain or if it product will be asked by some costumers after 60 years. and if yes, how much it wood may cost ? cheaper or higer then gold ??? what do you think

Nope, moss green was not on my list... There are not many codes, it says: 51 - single coil in neck position, KLS - Install Lithium single coil, CC - tone delete, no 5-way switch, 3-way toggle switch s1b, push/pull volume bridge coil splitting. But I am always calling in and I would highly recommend this, as I give no guarantee if they change their codes. Also I would not know what is possible on which model and what is not, so CALL THE GUYS! :-)
I love the idea of the single coil in the neck. I think I may go with the twin blade single style humbucker on my Zeus build. Beautiful guitar and it sounds great. CONGRATS!!!
Just got my Osiris 6 about a month ago and am sitting in a hotel with it on my lap right now. Its matte black with a rosewood fingerboard (black me out!!!) so not nearly as pretty as that one but I like it so much I’m considering another headless build from Kiesel. I got an ash body for the resonance and have not been disappointed!

1st tip: Watch the vid, specs are told.... Delivery is Kiesel standard, so for a headless 29 $. Import tax and duties relate to where it is shipped. In my case (Germany) 19% VAT and 3-4% duties. I think I paid 225 €. Good thing is (in Germany) customs calculate VAT & duties based on the BASE price of the guitar (like stated on the Kiesel HP), NOT the actual price of the guitar...

Da du ja sowohl Vader als auch Zeus besitzt, wollte ich mal fragen, welche tonalen und spielerischen (High-fret access zB) Differenzen die beiden Modelle aufzeigen aufgrund der Neck- und Bodykonstruktion. Zudem, welches Halsprofil hat die Kiesel? Bin persönlich ein 60s Slim Taper D Fan, hätte den aber noch gerne etwas schmaler/kleiner. Zu guter Letzt: Welche Option muss man wählen, um das 'geteilte Finish' zu bekommen, was du auf der Zeus hast? (Sprich, Holz außen und in der Mitte das Top) Danke für jede Antwort. Hi +eXtendemusicHD !! Gute Wahl.. Was den Vergleich Vader-Zeus angeht: Ich denke tonal kommt es sicher auch auf die Hölzer an, die verwendet werden, ebenso die PUs, aber der High fret access ist bei der Vader natürlich phänomenal, da könnte man auch einen 26. Bund spielen. Bei der Zeus komme ich mit dem kleinen Finger aber auch locker bis zwischen Bund 24 und PU und ich habe kleine Hände. HIer ist es eher der Daumen, der nicht ganz so weit runter kommt. Insgesamt sehr nah beieinander, aber die Vader natürlich im Vorteil. Halsprofil: Würde sagen ein modern C, Dicke Richtung Ibanez Wizard aber nicht ganz so extrem dünn, ich selbst hab bei der Z6 das Standardprofil, bei meiner AM6 die dünnere Option und muss sagen bei 6 Saiten eigentlich für mich unnötig, das normale tut es. Die Kombi aus Profil und Tung Oil finish ist in jedem Fall ein Traum! Was auch bedacht werden muß ist die Halsbreite (Saitenabstand). Als ich meine V8 auspackte, hab ich sofort meine Ibanez TAM10 verkauft, die Halsbreite (insbes. in den höheren Lagen) ist bei Ibanez deutlich größer. Kiesel ist einfach deutlich komfortabler. Das "geteilte Finish" ist easy. Einfach RNC wählen (rear natural clear), dann bleiben Rückseite UND der Bevel Natur und das Finish ist nur auf dem Top. Im Zweifel sag ich immer: ANRUFEN (9h Zeitverschiebung beachten...). Mache ich immer. Mailen geht auch, aber dauert länger. Ich spreche immer mit Keith, der ist entspannt, freundlich und weiß immer Rat (übrigens der Bruder des verstorbenen Benard Ighner - mal googeln, sowas wie ne Soullegende gewesen). Hoffe die Predigt hier hilft...

Im Fall dieser Z6 habe ich eben gegen 3-Weg Schalter tauschen lassen, sodass ich den Hum trotzdem per push-pull splitten kann. Hölzer: Besser nachfragen oder auf der Kiesel-HP gucken. Kommt drauf an, was soundmäßig angesagt ist, oder wenn einem das Wurscht ist, was gut aussieht ;-). Beim Hals ist Walnus eun TRAUM, neben Ahorn. Meine sind relativ leicht, da ich oft Sumpfesche als Korpus habe oder die Gitarren gechambert sind. Das leichteste wäre sicher Sumpfesche, chambering und andere leichte Hölzer in Kombi. Manche Vader6 wiegt nur 2,5-2,7 kg...Headless ist in jedem Fall leichter und einfach super-komfortabel. Soviel besser: Bauquali-mäßig schätze ich nicht, aber 1. haben m.M.n. die Kiesel einfach Detailvorteile, die die Vorteile mancher anderen Marken kombinieren und außerdem ist es eben eine Custom-Gitarre, die so gebaut wird, wie DU es willst (und das in 10 Wochen oder so). Daher: Ich jedenfalls hab meine Ibanez, Jackson, Charvel, Fernandes, Agile, Shaman, etc. (fast) alle verkauft und bin K-Jünger... ;-)
Wiedermal danke für die außergewöhnlich starke Antwort! Hat das Chambering bei der Tonal noch einen großen Unterschied gemacht? Hatte nämlich auch erst überlegt, das Ganze chambern zu lassen, aber eine halten den Ton dann für etwas zu 'luftig'. Hattest du bei der Walnus/Ahorn - Sumpfesche Kombi nicht etwas Bedenken bzgl. höhenlastigkeit? Gerade da die Zeus halt noch Bolt-On ist. Prinzipiell habe ich mich durch alle Optionen durchgelesen, aber das sind halt auch nur Anhaltspunkte, keine ganz genauen Angaben - und genaue Kombi's durchchecken gestaltet sich etwas schwierig ;-) Dein Griffbrett ist Zebrawood, denke ich? Optisch natürlich der absolute Knaller!
+eXtendedmusicHD Das chambering soll den Ton etwas "weicher" machen, meine Z6 ist aber NICHT gechambert. Mit den Höhen hab ich keine Probleme, da der Engl "untenrum" und auch in den MItten genug "Ausgleichspotential hat. Generell denke ich (aber eben nur meine Denke) dass die Holzsorte zwar Einfluss hat, aber die Unterschiede oft eben nicht Tag-Nacht, sondern Nuancen sind. Ich bin jedenfalls mit allen Holzkombis bisher ohne Probleme gefahren. Und meine Z6 hat mit den fettesten Sound aller meiner Kiesels... Griffbrett? Dieses hier? Video angesehen..? ;-) Es ist aus Pale moon ebony. Das hat Jeff K. selbst ausgesucht... Aber auch deren Zebra wood oder Royal ebony ist der Kracker, da haben die manchmal echt einige Schätzchen in der Truhe...
AxilleasLiverpool, I guess I had no experience with this specific neck, I guess, but for "normal" wizard necks (not on Prestige models) I answered that below, already. Basically the thinner neck option is not exactly as thin as a wizard neck, but close. I have this Zeus without the THNN option and an Aries model WITH the option. After all for MY hands (not very big) the "normal" thickness is ok, so in the future I would only go on a 7- and 8-string for the THNN option. On my Aries M7 and my CM8 it feels perfect...
Really sweet build. Can anyone else offer an opinion on the neck thickness? I've never played a Kiesel before and that bit is making me nervous. I tend to prefer a thinner neck, but nothing crazy. For instance I like the thickness of my LTD EC 1000 guitar - anyone played one of those and could compare? Or even how does the standard thickness stack up against the average strat neck?
Anders Fredrickson, my 2 cents: I played Ibanez (among others) in the past. The thinner neck option is not exactly as thin as an Ibby wizard neck, but close. I have this Zeus without the THNN option and an Aries model WITH the option. After all for MY hands (not very big) the "normal" thickness is ok, so in the future I would only go on a 7- and 8-string for the THNN option. On my Aries M7 and my CM8 it feels perfect...
3A (k.A. ob´s auch 1&2 gibt...) bis 7A (Mastergrade) sind die Qualitätseinteilungen der Tops (bei Poplar Burl Tops die Menge an Knoten im Holz, usw., im Prinzip eine Einteilung von "sieht nach nix aus" bis "Oberhammer". Kiesel Gitarren-Tops kommen standardmäßig in 4A Quali. Alles höhere kostet extra und wird von Jeff (Chef) selbst ausgewählt. Ich hatte ein Foto aus der Online-Galerie als Anhaltspunkt geschickt, wie ich es haben wollte. Das war ein 5A Top, daher hat meine Zeus eben auch ein 5A Top.

I don´t really understand the question. Why should any wood not be good for standard tuning. If this relates to part 2 of the question only: Kiesel uses Southern swamp ash, which is fairly light and porous (actually the part of the tree that grpws underwater), so the tone is rather warm (they don´t use "northern baseball bat ash", as Jeff once called it. So this would make a good warm tone wood (also Mahogany f.i.). To be picky or as I say "attacky" (haha) you woulod have to choose walnut (I have an AM6 with a walnut body) or maple. If you want it even warmer you could also go for a chambered body (have this on my V8), this sounds very warm. In the video (esp. the distorted parts) surely might sound a bit harsh, as my Precision Drive is running, and I prefer tight, mid-rich sounds with a lot of attack. Long answer, but maybe it helps... :-)
Axel Jüngst well my swamp ash Jericho has a very chimey harsh high end and a representative told me swamped ash has a strong low end with sparkling highs. Scooped mids. Might sound too bright for standard
Ok, then it might be nothing for you. I personally LOVE bright sounds with tight low end, esp. clean sounds and I would not want my guitar to sound too warm. I don´t care what tuning when choosing the body woods, anyway, but that´s all a personal choice ;-) I actually LOVE the sound of my Zeus ESPECIALLY in standard. Tried it tuned down, didn´t like it better. I have other guitars for that..
I'll just chime in and say that I have 4 kiesels, all with Ash bodies, and they all have completely different sounds...I find the lithium pickups are really just too bright for my liking, but the Ash has never presented a problem

This refers to the appearance/figuring. Ironically, the flamey quilted stuff is almost never the best sonically. Go figure

Wiedermal danke für die außergewöhnlich starke Antwort! Hat das Chambering bei der Tonal noch einen großen Unterschied gemacht? Hatte nämlich auch erst überlegt, das Ganze chambern zu lassen, aber eine halten den Ton dann für etwas zu 'luftig'.
Hattest du bei der Walnus/Ahorn - Sumpfesche Kombi nicht etwas Bedenken bzgl. höhenlastigkeit? Gerade da die Zeus halt noch Bolt-On ist.
Prinzipiell habe ich mich durch alle Optionen durchgelesen, aber das sind halt auch nur Anhaltspunkte, keine ganz genauen Angaben - und genaue Kombi's durchchecken gestaltet sich etwas schwierig ;-)
Dein Griffbrett ist Zebrawood, denke ich? Optisch natürlich der absolute Knaller!
+eXtendedmusicHD Das chambering soll den Ton etwas "weicher" machen, meine Z6 ist aber NICHT gechambert. Mit den Höhen hab ich keine Probleme, da der Engl "untenrum" und auch in den MItten genug "Ausgleichspotential hat. Generell denke ich (aber eben nur meine Denke) dass die Holzsorte zwar Einfluss hat, aber die Unterschiede oft eben nicht Tag-Nacht, sondern Nuancen sind. Ich bin jedenfalls mit allen Holzkombis bisher ohne Probleme gefahren. Und meine Z6 hat mit den fettesten Sound aller meiner Kiesels...
Griffbrett? Dieses hier? Video angesehen..? ;-) Es ist aus Pale moon ebony. Das hat Jeff K. selbst ausgesucht... Aber auch deren Zebra wood oder Royal ebony ist der Kracker, da haben die manchmal echt einige Schätzchen in der Truhe...

Could you please share your thoughts regarding the thickness of the neck compared to ibanez super wizard HP, found on prestige models?
AxilleasLiverpool, I guess I had no experience with this specific neck, I guess, but for "normal" wizard necks (not on Prestige models) I answered that below, already. Basically the thinner neck option is not exactly as thin as a wizard neck, but close. I have this Zeus without the THNN option and an Aries model WITH the option. After all for MY hands (not very big) the "normal" thickness is ok, so in the future I would only go on a 7- and 8-string for the THNN option. On my Aries M7 and my CM8 it feels perfect...

Really sweet build. Can anyone else offer an opinion on the neck thickness? I've never played a Kiesel before and that bit is making me nervous. I tend to prefer a thinner neck, but nothing crazy. For instance I like the thickness of my LTD EC 1000 guitar - anyone played one of those and could compare? Or even how does the standard thickness stack up against the average strat neck?

3A (k.A. ob´s auch 1&2 gibt...) bis 7A (Mastergrade) sind die Qualitätseinteilungen der Tops (bei Poplar Burl Tops die Menge an Knoten im Holz, usw., im Prinzip eine Einteilung von "sieht nach nix aus" bis "Oberhammer". Kiesel Gitarren-Tops kommen standardmäßig in 4A Quali. Alles höhere kostet extra und wird von Jeff (Chef) selbst ausgewählt. Ich hatte ein Foto aus der Online-Galerie als Anhaltspunkt geschickt, wie ich es haben wollte. Das war ein 5A Top, daher hat meine Zeus eben auch ein 5A Top.

Do you think swamp ash is good for standard tuning? Or would it be too Ice picky / Chimey?
I don´t really understand the question. Why should any wood not be good for standard tuning. If this relates to part 2 of the question only: Kiesel uses Southern swamp ash, which is fairly light and porous (actually the part of the tree that grpws underwater), so the tone is rather warm (they don´t use "northern baseball bat ash", as Jeff once called it. So this would make a good warm tone wood (also Mahogany f.i.). To be picky or as I say "attacky" (haha) you woulod have to choose walnut (I have an AM6 with a walnut body) or maple. If you want it even warmer you could also go for a chambered body (have this on my V8), this sounds very warm. In the video (esp. the distorted parts) surely might sound a bit harsh, as my Precision Drive is running, and I prefer tight, mid-rich sounds with a lot of attack. Long answer, but maybe it helps... :-)
to add this: The mic is that of my phone. In person the sound is not as harsh..
Axel Jüngst well my swamp ash Jericho has a very chimey harsh high end and a representative told me swamped ash has a strong low end with sparkling highs. Scooped mids. Might sound too bright for standard
Ok, then it might be nothing for you. I personally LOVE bright sounds with tight low end, esp. clean sounds and I would not want my guitar to sound too warm. I don´t care what tuning when choosing the body woods, anyway, but that´s all a personal choice ;-) I actually LOVE the sound of my Zeus ESPECIALLY in standard. Tried it tuned down, didn´t like it better. I have other guitars for that..
I'll just chime in and say that I have 4 kiesels, all with Ash bodies, and they all have completely different sounds...I find the lithium pickups are really just too bright for my liking, but the Ash has never presented a problem
