There's so little position 4 content on TH-cam, but it's my favorite position and I've been trying to learn to get better at it. Thank you for making this!
The important thing I have learned from this series that I couldn't figure out was the idea of what the "default" thing to do is. You are supposed to pressure the enemy safelane safely/push out lanes no matter who is doing it, just do it. Dont dive their tier 1 or tier 2. Just pressure it so someone from enemy comes. If they walk or tp then u did your job. Then go farm other areas nearby. This "default" setting I have not found or heard of until now. Other comments 1. If you are pushing the lane consistently that is important to push, it doesn't matter what your team is doing. 2.. It is ok to let your team die since their play call wasn't the best anyway. I used to think that lane was saved for core, if they weren't there farming then I should leave it for them and go help my team in skirmishes. Turns out it isn't needex as much. Nice to know!!!
Other videos emphasize the tiny details of creep agro and timings. (In the case of other content creators they use "just do this and you win the game." They always missed out on the general and what the important/default setting is. The detailed videos, I understand them but they emphasize pushing your hero to the limit at all times via positioning, farming, fighting. This video series is great because it is about the important thing someone needs to do and disregards those small details. No other content is explaining this and dota 2 has needed it since day 1. We have never known what the "default" thing was!!!!!
23:49 - It honestly feels like this kind of thing (teammates walking across the river to take a dumb fight and dying) is common at all brackets of Dota from 1k through 5k.
BSJ you just make this shit look so easy. We're all lucky to have someone like you willing to teach. I lol'ed when that lina ulted you early with shaker right there. I'm just a shitter but that seemed like a wasted opportunity until the shaker fed.
Really liked the situational use of faerie fire. I'm pretty new to the game, so seeing the rational for picking various items over others is some of the most useful content. Thank you BSJ!
youtube channel! I've been watching your guides and realized they were all about doing up the cores, and when I gave up to look for support guides, there you were too. Thanks.
I've been flamed several times for buying eblade pos 4 mirana. I won't reveal what bracket but you can take a guess. Thanks for this video BSJ. Another thing mirana is very good at is sniping couriers pos4. Kill a guy's courier twice and he will tilt every time.
Hey BSJ, what made you decide to go top and play with shaker instead of defing bottom around 19:30? (min 12 in game). Overall, I would have found it hard to decide when to def bottom vs making plays with shaker and void spirit top. I think there are two heroes who could play the deadlane. Its either you or void spirit. And since void spirit is mid (stronger and higher farm prio) and mirana can do it, she should right? Anyway, I just would like to know more about the thoughtprocess on pressuring top vs defing bottom, when you can do both. Similar to jakiro honestly.
BSJ, I wanna ask why didnt you put a ward to scout enemy jungle and tower during 10-20 min of the game? Maybe that will at least help you to notice if someone who's not showing on the lane are coming towards you, or maybe even make Sven will be able to pressure and farm top lane. Because, the reason why some of us dont wanna play a certain part of the map because there's no vision there. but idk, im just asking maybe you have a specific reason why.
I think when your ES looks at top lane and sees you star-storming the creep wave, he's gonna instinctively look for farm somewhere else, I'm not saying it's your fault but you could be communicating your intention better I think
ES should be playing off map most of the time after blink, so he farms jungle on the more agressive parts of the map to make plays. Top is the agressive part to play, so ES should be top and mid by default.
@@pegasrio Yep! It's like when you playing Axe: if you show in lane you're doing it wrong, you're no threat for the enemy, but if you stay in jungle not showing on map enemy are scared as shit to farm lanes because of the constant threat of Axe. It was the same this game, if shaker stays in jungle out of vision instead of farming lanes, pushing lanes and then dying to mars + void, this game would have been even easier. The only reliable way to kill void was shaker + 1, so if shaker keeps pushing lanes letting void where he is, then void can play very confident knowing he can avoid shaker and he is not getting echoed.
ES shouldn't be looking to farm when he's got blink echo. He's the strongest hero on the map, he should be playing top side so he can threaten objectives.
Nice vídeo as always. your insights are something else! But I got a question you called bot lane The "deadlane" why is that? From my understading is it because rosh and enemy jungle is located top side, so, controlling those two objectives denies The enemy a lot and force them to move there, And, if they go, that means sven can play Both bot lane and jungle. Is that right?
Do you think it makes a difference to have a hero that can trade well in the laning, so that you win the lane and snowball, or we shouldn't think about that in the low ranks?
Have no idea why it works so well for you and so randomly for me, but nice to see either way =) And this time you did it with so so cores too and a basically missing pos 5. Question is did Earth becomes the best cores because you supported him or did your lane becomes easy because Earth was the best core... Why no vlads, you said aura items but basically stopped at greaves?
What's the other kind of 4 position you wanted to do an example of? You said the first is a hero like Mirana who is super flexible. I guess the opposite is a . . . not flexible hero? But there are lots of not flexible heroes.
Hey BSJ. Have you ever considered playing ability draft? There are no absolute roles in ability draft. You can support with pa and you can right click with dazzle or cm. Or you can build cancer builds like rearm tombstone on any hero. I wonder how much it would take for you to adjust your facts to this mode. And I also wonder which principles you teach would still be valid in ability draft games. I assume pushing lanes is one of them. Since I was watching your content, I really improved my habit to push lanes in ability draft. I even started to pusher builds exclusively (like shaman wards + multiple wave clears). It seems like pusher builds are very hard to counter because the opponents just cannot respond to it.
I know that many people who play ability draft only play ability draft, or people who play ranked don’t like ability draft. But to me, it is kind of fun even if I get stomped just because of an imbalanced build in the opponent team. I should say that it is not real dota but every game is completely different story and it teaches you all skills. In ranked games, I really hesitated to try heroes I am not familiar with. But in ability draft, you take the skills that you need and you farm whatever you want.
So he can gain more mana from that mango he used right after dropping wb on the ground. he has less max mana without wb so when he use mango and get wb back, he has more mana than he would have without dropping wb
I play really like this, i just adjust on what our team needs im an offlaner so i get something like an item first that can help me farm a little, but sometimes i just get confused on what to do when i have 2 cores that farm a lot like a mid medusa and am safelane.

Man, you make these 5ks look like heralds!

pos4 has always been my weekest role glad someone made a vid about it
I WAIT FOR THIS EVERY WEEK!
10:34 Thought BSJ was going to start narrating in a Bob Ross voice (honestly I think that would be the only thing that could make these videos better)
I learnt a lot from coach B and would request to make more guides like this on pos 4. Thanks a lot.

But this is an exception. I watch all BSJ video and improved significantly

You look the mini map 35 times in 1 minute... amazing
that's 35 times more than i do 😞
Really liked the situational use of faerie fire. I'm pretty new to the game, so seeing the rational for picking various items over others is some of the most useful content. Thank you BSJ!
I love the honesty. I don’t read all comments but TH-cam cares. Perfect
Great Video, I liked how you stayed chill while pushing top when your team was off doing whatever.

Earthshaker going like: "yeah that was all me baby!"
Thanks for releasing the videos on TH-cam!
Is the deadlane usually ur safelane?
7:45 so this is what most ppl think, i like that you also say that, i think this is more so true, the lower the bracket is
Genuinely enjoyed this
thank bsj
BSJ channeled his inner Bob Ross during laning this game.
38:12 bsj straight up looking like a zombie xD ddaiimm
Dangg...He looks like Mark Ruffalo
Just chill and be highest NW in the game. U were in the zone BSJ. GJ.

intro to game was high value
TY BSJ i got 400 mmr just from watching your videos! Finally got to Divine 1

“Just hit em” has a Bob Ross quality about it.
Bsj so chill makes dota look easy as fuck xD
Awesome, that is was i was waiting for!
Hey bsj, can you do the same vid for a pos 4 game with boots first e.g. clock?
Nice vídeo as always. your insights are something else!

NICE LA! NICE LA!! SHOUTOUT FROM SG
Such an awesome series.
Lets act like i died and my team has to fight without me !!! Priceless
Please upload videos about Mid lane Match-ups such as Ember vs Ivk, Qop vs Ivk.... Your contents have been really useful for me. Thanks alot.
Do you think it makes a difference to have a hero that can trade well in the laning, so that you win the lane and snowball, or we shouldn't think about that in the low ranks?
Mirana content as a 4 :) Loved it! More pos 4 please !!!
one thing i learned is that dota is "pretty cool"
Awesome video bro, keep on itt

Pure domination from BSJ
I'm pretty sure I've seen that Earthshaker on Draskyl's stream before. "The Beast of US East" sounds super familiar to me for some reason.
Thanks for your Great videos!
Algorithm bless you BSJ.
6:00 didn't know that CM and Lina are sisters lol
I am doing Clinkz as pos4. From 2800 to 3600 and rising in 2-3 weeks. When all my cores failed, I carry the game.
I have some extra money laying around. How can I give it to you and get a replay analysed?
Very cool bsj thank you
I love your channel ty for the hard work
void spirit is also good ganking/farming pos 4. Its much flexible , can push any lane , waste enemies time who try to kill a pos 4 in fog
he is coming back guys 👌👌👌
33:30 when that vs tried to deny it i fucking died
@11:55 Why does he drop the wraith band on the ground?
So he can gain more mana from that mango he used right after dropping wb on the ground. he has less max mana without wb so when he use mango and get wb back, he has more mana than he would have without dropping wb
i wish bsj videos would be in the start as an intro.
ty for make support guides!
BSJ ended top networth of the match. Hehhe
Need another educational smurf video. Position 4 please 😀😀
Yay. I might give mirana another try once I am done with pos 5 WD.

Why tf did Doug have this in his latest uploads??? Was it some bit I didn't see
VERY INFORMATIVE!
Cool stuff, bro
Plz upload videos for this series twice a week if you can BSJ.
