Well you have to watch the video and listen to him. He's playing into a lane that kinda wants to fuck with him a lot ('grief pos 4'), so he pushes the wave and it's hard for them to trade. Also ring of regen and raindrops help sustain the damage. Please don't think any of this is random :D

Thanks for this awesome Educational Smurf game! In the coachings and other guides u learn how to play and what u and your Team should do. But this is a nice simulation of the entire team doing random stuff and how to adapt to it and keep a cool mind without griefing the own game.
I agree with most of the comments - BSJ had a better team, and could have won this game with any character in the carry role. Really wasn't a game where any amazing thinking or skill was required. A fast diffusal would've even been great this game. However, it was nice to hear his thought process.
At like 20:20 you're talking about how the hood may feel useless if the enemy isnt messing with you. Then mere seconds later they invade your ancients with magic burst that you survived because of the hood. It feels like such a strange buy, but PL has survival issues that rushing things like wraith bands or early diffusal doesn't help with. You don't even need to complete the hood, a ring of health is usually enough to keep your health high enough.
Thank you BSJ for this PL video! PL is my favorite hero and I have 600 games on him, but I am still at 3k. I will try applying your vision of playing this hero in my games.

That tower literally does nothing for radiant you might go for it as dire as its close to roshan and ancients. Only time you take that tower if the enemy mass tps to their safe lane like idiots. In this specific case pl cant show up to that fight, Medusa likely farming ancients so they cant really push, and for a tower they don't need, furthermore it is likely to be a 4v5 and is where the enemy team wants to be anyway(picked of if they try to spilt push). as for what radiant should do, they control 3/4 of the map.............
Also at 42:50 BSJ: "Get in the habit of clearing our illusions out of the camp" ... "these are the important things to be thinking about" - while moving his easily expiring illusions out of the camp Also BSJ: blocks small camp immediately afterwards
Go shard and octarine after your defu and menta is super op, and go for q cd talent at lv15, it has only 4s cd and 1k+cast range. farms very fast and safe and deal tons of damage. The enemy can hardly kill you because you nver man up. Its very popular now in chinese pub. Really op
you can make treads depends on ur main attribute hero. If you play agi hero,you can go elvenskin,if intel then go robe of magi.. it actually make u farm better..elvenskin > glove > boot..
Hey BSJ thx for this series it's really both helpful and fun! Can you also do a video on how to play as a carry when your team loses all lanes? Imagine a scenario where your safelane goes at best even, but the other lanes lose so hard that both your triangle and your primary jungle get invaded repeatedly, starting at min 10-12. I know this is very specific, but a lot of games at 2k actually are stomps (in either direction), about 60% I'd guess or maybe even more. They're definitely too many to be ignored and I wonder how someone who is really good would deal with them while grinding.
You usually play in the enemy half of the map in the jungle, and try to get in a few observer wards, and cut waves, and look at the map to see if you know where the heroes that kill you are, then hope the enemy team dives and throws the game, illusion heroes are good at this. That being said you will most likely lose these games, so go for a rapier if you can and mute your team.
like normally i wouldnt be one of the people to object to your skill being the difference maker in these smurf videos, but this is an unusually easy game for this bracket. i literally played with the shaman in this vid like yesterday and the enemy team actually attempted to contest our carries farm and although he played much much worse they still contested him in triangle. these guys literally just afkd until you were way too farmed to be dealt with by their heroes

How do you group your illusions? I mean I know how to use groups with ctrl+hkey then use. But it resets every game and i always find myself testing which dopple is tanky so i can start using group on it. Is there a way to not make my group reset for a specific hero?

So for context, at 39:18 you just killed their dusa and u are cutting bottom wave as pl (its the only t2 left), on your way to cut mid and u look at your team who are doing nothing in the bottom lane, you laugh at them and say “I should have played mid” why did you say u should have played mid? How would have playing mid changed this? :)
Came to relax from my tilt and stopped watching when I found the mid was a nyx. The reason I was so tilted was I had a nyx steal mid from our viper. When we all thought nyx picked a pos 4 and picked accordingly (he/shedding communicate which pos he was picking for and picked first)
I don't play PL but I assume it's like any other unit; select it and ctrl + unit hotkey. Dota remembers your in game unit control binds for each hero, every game! Edit: Btw to find it I believe it is the brighter illusion. You should have two dull illusions and one brighter one.
The games that most people want to see is how you play when you are really hard-countered. Picking first pick PL kinda leaves you open to counter picks, but they didn't really do it this game. Heroes I would consider counter picks to PL are those with AOE disables and damage, pure damage is a bonus. For example Axe, Timbersaw, Puck, Pango, Jakiro, EShaker, Grim. P.S Their cores were kinda okay vs you, but their supports were attrocious. P.S2 Also maybe consider games in the high 3k bracket low 4k because its not really fun when the opponents don't pressure you at all.
If ever your team is winning in early game like 12 minutes or 20 minutes and your the carry but you still don't have a good items what's the best approach for that should I join them and push or just farm until I get the objective items as a carry, but my heroes team mates are all spam skills and disable not good at pushing only good at hero kills

15 attack speed is good. But evasion is better ( in this game ) . He got free farm . Plus he went jungle make him more survive. And also he against 2 physical heroes... Thats my opinion.. The evasion also u can apply on PA.. if u are against magic hero,nuker or something u can try focus on skill 2...if physical hero,try focus on 3rd skill..also if u have difficulties on lane,u can jungle..
favorite part is all high level players have no idea what the badges mean.. Herald, guardian, crusader, Archon legend ancient and divine all mean trash to them
For example i am legend player. I have never been in herald crusader archon brackets. I didnt know what is what until yesterday when i wasted 2 minutes to figure out who is who. I just came from dota 1, finded my old dota 2 acc with 3k points and recalibrate it. For me all belong 2k is trash that dont know how to lasthit and dont know that you shouldnt hit bb at the back and so on

Just did that laning phase against a husker mid, by auto attacking every creep i had until half hp, then focusing on last hit, he just couldn't harass me after because of all the creeps... and hitting him if he comes any where close... completely zoned out the and he went jungle around level 4 ish. I never really thought how much auto attacking creep can fuck your lane up but also fuck up theirs if used intentionally....
legend and ancient bracket. THe moment you first piick core, they go insane. It's not like some high rank games. People in these brackets mostly need to try out more things and learn new things in order to get up to higher rank. Which is why if youre ancient/legend players and you dont improve, you will stay in these brackets very long
Were they the ones playing the dead lane or was it BSJ? Is dead lane decided by which objectvie should be favored? for instance at 20mins I'm guessing you want your team to play top because rosh is topside but since they're not, shouldn't you be playing with them?
there are 3lanes in dota if a team farms all 3 at the same time typically since that means they're spread out so much it means they feed getting ganked: typically you generally can only control 2 lanes at once realistically in dota this is what the "deadlane" is about, the 3rd lane the one the team should avoid: since the midlane is in the middle that lane is never the deadlane if you want anything going well for you mapwise controlling the mid lane is always included, so the deadlane is always one of the 2 sidelanes => simply due to map paths&openings 90%+ of the time the deadlane is your own safelane&own jungle area, same for the enemy team their deadlane which they generally wanna avoid it's their own safelane&own jungle area (here bsj's team kept wrongly playing in the deadlane) (note: the deadlane does not really exists before 7min+ in the match: the deadlane concept exists after* the laning stage)
It would get him flamed in immortal too. He's afk ricing in a winning team. They could have ended 10 to 20 minutes earlier if their carry wasn't fucking afk hitting creeps whole game.

@@ahmeddosov934 well i am (used to rather) a 3k legend player and was fortunate enough to make a downward spiral trip all the way to crusader, I'm actually surprised how there're ppl who block camps, interrupt pulls, harass in lane and so on, although it seems to be not very consistent from game to game. also ppl just loooove to run around the map looking for fights senselessly but yeah there's different level of trash :3

Just did that laning phase against a husker mid, by auto attacking every creep i had until half hp, then focusing on last hit, he just couldn't harass me after because of all the creeps... and hitting him if he comes any where close... completely zoned out the and he went jungle around level 4 ish. I never really thought how much auto attacking creep can fuck your lane up but also fuck up theirs if used intentionally....

If you wanna go greedy go midas/yasha first but diffu might be better than yasha depending on the situation
legend and ancient bracket. THe moment you first piick core, they go insane. It's not like some high rank games. People in these brackets mostly need to try out more things and learn new things in order to get up to higher rank. Which is why if youre ancient/legend players and you dont improve, you will stay in these brackets very long

There is no reason, he probably was focused on talking and didn't realise the time, it's more efficient to stack when u can.

Were they the ones playing the dead lane or was it BSJ? Is dead lane decided by which objectvie should be favored? for instance at 20mins I'm guessing you want your team to play top because rosh is topside but since they're not, shouldn't you be playing with them?
there are 3lanes in dota if a team farms all 3 at the same time typically since that means they're spread out so much it means they feed getting ganked: typically you generally can only control 2 lanes at once realistically in dota this is what the "deadlane" is about, the 3rd lane the one the team should avoid:
since the midlane is in the middle that lane is never the deadlane if you want anything going well for you mapwise controlling the mid lane is always included, so the deadlane is always one of the 2 sidelanes
=> simply due to map paths&openings 90%+ of the time the deadlane is your own safelane&own jungle area, same for the enemy team their deadlane which they generally wanna avoid it's their own safelane&own jungle area
(here bsj's team kept wrongly playing in the deadlane)
(note: the deadlane does not really exists before 7min+ in the match: the deadlane concept exists after* the laning stage)
