Taking the Caterham back to the Nordschleife

I really enjoyed driving the #nordschleife in the #caterham last year, so thought I'd go back this year! Once again I booked with DNevents, as I prefer a well organised #trackday versus the randomness of a #touristenfahrten
As well as the track day itself, we did a bit of a road trip from the Bilster Berg, taking wiggly country roads instead of autobahns. It was great fun.

very clean, would love to see a footcam :) one question tho, why the quick upshifting?

Sometimes “short shifting” into a higher gear was better for what was coming - otherwise I might need to change gear at an inconvenient moment. But, if you notice the shift lights they’re always orange, which means I’m still on peak torque. In other words, the short shifts don’t rob me of any pull.

We had a small amount of rain in the afternoon, at which point I decided to call it a day. It’d been fabulous up to that point. The Cat was going well - that foam air box with ITBs sounds lush, doesn’t it? 👂 😋

Looks like a great trip and DN days are always good to get in nice clear laps. Wish I had an opportunity this year but only had the chance of a tourist day. Good to speak at brands GP, will that make it onto the channel?

Nice video - can I ask what you use to get the overlays? Speedo display seemed a tad random at times :-)

Hello @MrNelmo2 - it's RaceChrono. I forgot my high-resolution GPS on this trip, so unfortunately I only logged data via my phone. It wasn't as good 🤣 I'm just editing Cadwell and Brands GP track days, and the data is far more reliable in those. If you look at last year's Nords video the data looks far more 'stable' in that too.
