I have also driven a Caterham R400 on the Bilster Berg (1:49.xx, with ZZR Tyres, lap is uploaded on my channel) and i am also in the simulator industrie. I hope you did not pay the list price for vesaro, because they tend to be overpriced and the motor mount is really not great. The front mount solutions from Simlab, Simtag etc are much stiffer and you have more space at your legs. The setup you have is great. However I would recommend to go with the Heusinkveld Ultimate pedals instead of the sprint, because the sprints are designed to be driven without shoes and more for sim racers instead of people who are actually driving on the track. The brake pedal force is not high enough for my liking.
Thanks for the tips, but I'm fine with my rig setup and choices. It works well. If I was suggesting choices to somebody purchasing today, I wouldn't suggest Vesaro, because value-for-money you can't beat a bit of the common aluminium profile many rigs seem to be built from now. I have no need for HS Ultimates. The Sprints give me a decent replication of both my Caterham brake and before it the 911 I had. I neither want, nor need, to be pushing 60kg on the pedals 🤣 Really enjoyed watching your lap by the way! Lovely coloured Cat you have there 😍
@@WhiteRoseDrives Thanks for that. The aluminium profil rigs are maybe not looking as good as a tubular frame, but they are so modular and rigid, that i would always recommend them. The Ultimates have also dampers on the pedals and some other small details which are better, but all in all the sprints are really good aswell and your point about a good pedal set is 100% true. For shiting i can also recommend the prosim shifters which are made together with quaife. The colour on my car is ford pacific blue btw ;)
is that assetto corsa? which caterham is it and do you have a nice swtup you could share? really fast sim times!! my r300 is always very understeery, tried a lot to combat it, but your caterham looks much better, much grippier on front axle!
It is AC Simon, yes. I tend to use trail braking a lot to keep the nose pinned - watch the brake traces. I’m sure that lapping is on the standard setup.
@@WhiteRoseDrives hm, I played around a lot with the setup, but couldnt get it to drive like my caterham. sometimes its close, but other times, mostly in certain track areas, it does not work at all. e.g. all turn combos until "mausefalle" for bilster berg. Im so much faster until mausefalle with my real car. anyway, very cool video, very nice setup. Im practicing new tracks as well with AC, but I only got a cheap thrustmaster 300rs. maybe for wintertime Ill get some upgrades :)
Good stuff, thanks for sharing
well done Sir,..

@@C42ST3N *nod* If I did a simrig again today, I'd just use alu profile for sure. I had more money (than sense?) back when I built the Vesaro up 🤣
Wow that's some setup
nice to see a Caterham/BilsterBerg Combination on a Sim here... hope i see a vid with the r400 on the Track
There’s a wee snippet of the day as a Short on the channel. Rather wet start to the day! 😱 ☔️

nice track. love it ♥✌
I’ve had other folks say it’s their most favourite track - I’m soooo looking forward to driving it for real!
