Interesting to see a new generation of watch enthusiasts might begin to take shape in this digital age with smartwatch being the trend. I like a real watch with hands and dial, hopefully this enthusiasm stays for a long time to come. Regarding whether the watch worths all the hype, I suppose why not. A watch is suppose to make you feel good and have fun at the same time, and this one does both with only a little dent to your wallet.
I do like this kind of enthusiasm for a watch release. I own a couple of watches I would do that for if they were limited. But a cheap plastic monobloc (unrepairable) quartz watch for $260? That's crazy. If Swatch wasn't allowed to write Omega on the dial, no cues would have appeared.
Agreed. But, they might be repairable. The acrylic crystal can be removed and after the crown is out, the movement can be removed. That's how it got in there. 😃
@@donnyboon2896 I saw a topic on watchrepairtalk: Swatch does not do repair parts. The design is this way because they are throw away items when they fail. They even put glue over the inside screws. I would have considered the watch if it was futureproof but most of these will probably last about 5 years or so from what i read about Swatch quality.

So most ppl who got it were line cutters... great going swatch-omega. If swatch wanted to get younger ppl into watches then they should design better watches and if omega wants to give ppl funky colors then just make color ceramic watches and sell them at ok price... but this is a joke
Line cheats cut us in line and it was really cold at night. He was pissed. It was pretty hostile, nobody knew how it was going to turn out right at opening after wait 15 hours outside. I started 20th in line and ended up 48th
