    • @BoleDaPole
      @BoleDaPole 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's what made it so exciting though, far more thrilling than simply going into a reputable watch store and dealing with some bland saleman/ saleswoman/salesperson or ordering it online only for it to be delivered by some random plebian deliverer in a plain auburn/awny/chesnut coloured/colored box.
      Also ppl need to remember that he sold far more watches legitimately and allegedly only scammed a handful of customers so it's not like everyone was being scammed. More people came away happy than left sour.

  • @JamesWebbFitness
    @JamesWebbFitness ปีที่แล้ว +16

    I love how his team acts like they had no idea. You watched him spend all the money and saw the volume of the sales, obviously they didn't add up. When he goes down I hope he at least takes a deal to avoid his team getting prosecuted or they are going down too.

    • @AndrewL31413
      @AndrewL31413 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I know right. From watching his videos, he often dropped some numbers like margins per sale and volume. I did the math as a business owner and I was really confused. I actually naively thought maybe there was other income streams like TH-cam making these happen.

    thx for the video. It is obvious, but somehow there are people who are gullible enough to actually need this advice. There was even a video with watch dealers or former Dealers such as Paul Thorpe where they were disappointed that he didnt take him out for a fancy dinner after meeting up with him. Even professional dealers bought in to silly hype. Sad that people are influenced so easily.

  • @iDanielch
    @iDanielch ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Somethings you might be right but the thing with hand delivering watchs is beacuse of the insurance needed to send a 20k or higher cost watch its cheaper to fly out and delivery it himself than the logistics needed to send it via fedex and if its a high end piece it needs a armored truck so to many logistical things to do so its easier taking a flight so on the part your mistaken.

    You want to talk about reasons the business failed...misappropriation of funds, excessive overhead, poor marketing decisions, negative social media presence, lack of infrastructure, high rates of turnover, inadequate billing and accounting practices, etc. Oh...and the fact that Anthony turned it into a ponzi scheme and ponzies ALWAYS fail eventually.

The watch was a $20-$30k watch and he was out of pocket $3-$4k jet setting around after the sale. The only logical thing to do was to offer a refund if you wanted to be nice or told them they were mistaken and to bug off. He was explaining that he couldn’t have people trashing his good name and it was worth spending even more money to prove he was legit. If you’re legit you don’t need to spend money proving it to folks. The gay watch guy is going back to prison

    Nico Leonard, Roman Sharf and the rest of these guys all exhibit these behaviors and while they may not be scammers per se, they are all going down this same path and will all end up broke.

      Agreed. When they're dealing in watches that go for 5, 6, and 7 figures, and the standard uniform is blue jeans, sneakers, t-shirts, and baseball caps and/or they have enough tatts to join the circus, my BS alarm goes off. Class tells.

    I wonder how much in debt he is to Amex on his black card. But wait it is probably in someone else’s name.

    the sad thing is that he honestly believes that he is a good person and that this is just a setback and not a swindle, he is still talking about how much of an expert he is and how he can build up a buisness but that he is not cheap because he is so good at what he does. The guy is a snake oil salesman and an egotistical one at that. He crossed state lines and has stolen 5 million dollars off clients and investors. The feds should have locked him up by now.

    No one can live the lifestyle he did on what you make selling second hand watches. Buy you can if you are stealing the client's money.

    All very true, but he made some interesting content back in the early days of Covid. I watched. But yeah, I would never do business with the guy and I love watches.
