Can’t believe how many of these are being ordered tonight 😵💫😵💫😵💫. For everyone ordering these from abroad, if you want one of our cool new t shirts, that shouldn’t add anything to the delivery cost.
Not sure if anyone else has suggested this, but if you're running a stereo rig with 2 amps you could just put the mimiqu on one of the stereo outs and turn the dry signal off and the wet completely up and it would achieve the double tracked sound
I meaaaan... :D "Too much gain" is a thing and everyone knows it. But "not enough gain" is a thing as well and I thing that Petes tone suffers from that a lot. That Kraken is set to damn near clean and they are using a blues pedal to create the distortion. Would be understandable with a tele or something. But that's a freakin' LTD 7 string with fluences and he's trying to play metal riffs. :D I think these guys need Bea to teach them how to get a proper heavy tone for the occasion, just like Ola tried to tech them to pick.
I agree. Pete is a beautiful player and I love him dearly. I will never be half the player he is. But my man needs a lesson from Bea on heavy tones for some of the demos
That is a crazy deal. Turn the Tightness and Effect to at least 3 O’clock and turn the dry to unity. Instant fatness without modulation. It’s subtle, but it’s there. Especially at volume. Crazy deal.
This thing will work as "stereo" if you dial down the dry signal to 0 and put it before the B channel only of your amp, or before the second amp of your dual amp setup. (If you like this comment, please feel free to send a freebee over to Norway... you are currently sold out) ;)
Greetings from Arizona. I bought one of the TC electronics "G" systems from you about a month ago and absolutely love it. This is my second "epic deal" from you guys. All the way from the UK and still $30 less than I can buy one here :} Thanks Andertons
Hey, greeting from Death Valley my friend! World is just getting smaller! I got this pedal 2 years ago. Initial thoughts… not the pedal for me. But I have been working on a new tone so I have been wanting to get this out and see what I can do. I need another evh 50 head for stereo but this pedal is great!
If you own a TC Electronic Flashblack, you can kind of reproduce this effect. Set FX Level, Delay and Feedback to ~10-11 o'clock, the small toggle to the top position and choose the slap setting. It's not quite the same, but might give you an idea.
@@charlesabbott9605 I suppose it depends on how you want it so sound. I would treat this like an echo and want it through the loop on a clean sound, however on distorted sound I'd put this after my gain/preamp so it plays well with heavy distortion. Need another pedal like a kick in the nuts… but I couldn’t resist the price. You can’t beat $35 delivered. Looks like a fun pedal to play with. Thanks for the deal Anderson’s crew!
Bless them, but these lovely fellas are sadly somewhat lacking in the “setting up a proper metal tone” department 😅would love the pedal though, really useful tool to have!
Whew, thought I was going to have to get another TC. It works for the Metal, actually cleared it up, but for the good Capt. it reminds me of things that engineers put on recordings, not because it improves , but because its just a new toy to play w.
To make the best out of it the mini mimic it must go to one amp as wet effect only, another to a dry amp. You must have one last pedal in your chain to have a stereo out to do this (Delay or Reverb). It works wonder when you are in the middle of the amps.
To me those double trackers only sound and feel right, when used in stereo. In mono they are just a very very short delay/reverb with some modulation on. In studios double tracking is always done like this as well. The different guitar tracks get panned relatively hard. THEN it really works. I use the double take on my Helix a lot. And I own a Mimiq as well.
@@boimesa8190 Nah, it works that way. There's an effect level and a dry level. Turn the dry level to zero. One of the sides of the Y splitter goes into the Mimiq and the output goes to a recording interface panned to left, the other side of the Y bypasses the Mimiq and gets panned hard right. Result - left is only the doubled track from the Mimiq, right is only the dry signal fed into the Mimiq.

Sadly, this is one of those pedals where the initial idea sounds great, but the more demos I've watched, the more I realise I just don't need it. I can understand why Andertons have dropped the price so much to shift them.
