I had Panera broccoli-cheddar soup last night for the first time in a long time... and I'm sad to say, it's not the same. It wasn't very flavorful and really lumpy. Has anyone else noticed this?

PLEEEEASE do an updated "Foundations That Don't Look Like Foundation" video! Most of the recommendations in that former video are 1) discontinued, 2) don't come in as many shades anymore, or 3) are tough to find. Lightweight for summer, different coverage levels...please, oh pretty please?!

I have been using EL Max Coverage for twenty plus years. I used to mix it with Revlon age defying liquid to make it last longer and appear not so dry. Now I use the Maybelline fit me with it. You will get an easy 6 months from using it this way, and the coverage is beautiful. Time your purchase with your local department store gwp, and it's worth every dollar. I remember when it was $25!

I love that you did a video like this. It always seemed strange to me to watch people with beautiful skin cover it up with full coverage foundation while so many feel they have to do it to cover "imperfections". The fact that you acknowledge that you sometimes too need to cover things that don't allow you to feel as beautiful as you really are means a lot. I used to try and cover my freckles because I hated them and they made me sad, now I feel like a fraud when I can't see them. That's the difference age has made. Everyone deserves to feel as beautiful as they are and finding a perfect foundation, or no foundation, that achieves that is difficult, so thank you Emily for helping all of us.

Aacckk..🤦🏼‍♀️ I went to the description box to see what on earth you did this spectacular eye look with...& it says “Will explain at a later date”!! 😢 On one hand I’m thoroughly excited b/c that sounds like a tutorial is coming, but on the other hand I am inpatient & really hope it comes soon...lol 🤣! It is truly a spectacular eye look! I’m always so worried about trying a foundation like this because my skin is so dry. I even use a primer oil & still can’t get away with some demi-matte versions. The idea that Jouer has so many shades I might actually find a match makes it worth a trip to Sephora to get a couple of samples to try though! Thanks for the work put into this video!! Much Love from your Hoosier Neighbor! 🤗💜😘

Oxidation occurs because of the oils in your skin mixing with the pigment in the foundation. Therefore a foundation might oxidize on one person but not another depending on how much oil a person producrs. Primers can help with this by keeping your oils from mixing with the pigment.

I’ve tried the superstay and I believe it’s a staple that everyone should have! I now use it as a mixing foundation. It’s a little too drying for my normal skin but I mix it with just about anything else I own and it bumps up the coverage and makes it last all day!
Another full coverage foundation is the KVD lock it but it doesn’t have that stay in place feature that I prefer. It tends to transfer.

Nothing ever is full coverage for my Indian dark circles until I tried the Maybelline superstay color 310 omg ... No need for color correction concealer or anything ... I use the Maybelline age rewind to brighten around my eyes to make my eye makeup pop a bit but I definitely don't even need to wear it that's such a good foundation

Huda is amazing and I am using that for my wedding day. Absolutely the fullest coverage. My go to for full coverage is usually the Estée Lauder max double wear but Huda is a step up for sure. I used the Huda for my bridal shower and then I had my bachelorette later that night and it photographed beautiful!! It’s a A++ in my book.

The Marc Jacobs Remarcable on me is full coverage and Matte, at least on me. It reminds me of the Cover FX drops that are practically full pigment. It does look really matte on me however I moisturize heavily before using it and I have Combination skin. I use the smallest amount and use a beauty sponge to help it meld into my skin. I love it but normally go with the IT Cosmestics CC cream. It just never lets me down even though it is not full coverage.i might give the Estée Lauder a try and mix a drop of oil in with it. Great video, thank you so much.

AI am so glad the Maybelline Super Stay is the one that made the list. From the first time you review it, I RAN (drove)!to the store to find it. Of course, in my area...the southeast....it takes forever to get here. When I finally found it......I've used nothing since! 👍🏼💜 I'm 56 yrs young, have pretty good skin but am seeing some minor changes--nothing major yet. My dark circles (my ENT calls "allergic shiners") due to all of my allergies just seem to get more prominent, but this stuff works some magic. It doesn't completely cover them, but it's a fantastic start. Emily thanks for getting me back in the drug store (for the most part 😜). I always look forward to your videos. BTW.....LOVED your collab w/Jen Loves Reviews!

WOW! Your eyes are REALLY standing out! They look naturally gorgeous! the shades and accents really compliment your coloring while drawing attention to them. Your skin is glowing! And that lipcolor is like your lips but with a little extra. It has that effortlessly pretty feel while not having to go dramatic. Kind of like you are letting people know without saying a word, " Oh, YES, I just woke up like this!" I can see the other women reaching for their compact mirrors and trying to do some "touch ups" real quick! LOL! A GREAT pretty look for a busy mom who has it ALL together! My dermatologist said to stay away from chemical sunscreens because they darken melasma spots. I have melasma in areas similar to you, along my cheekbones, and have used sunscreen my whole life. The dermatologist determined that mine was hormonal and told me specifically to stay away from chemical sunscreens especially ingredients called octinoxate and avobenxone. These ingredients are very common once you start paying attention to them. I decluttered everything that had those ingredients and stick to mineral sunblock for my face, and stay away from foundations that have those ingredients. This made such a big difference in my skin. This whole time I was making it worse thinking I was protecting my skin.

    • @chersilveira8944
      @chersilveira8944 6 ปีที่แล้ว

I ONLY use the mineral and zinc oxide type of sunscreens because I am allergic to the chemicals. There are LOTS of nice mineral lotion sunscreens. I have one I got at the drugstore, it is all natural with an spf of 50 and is water resistant. It has minerals, zinc oxide and another natural sunscreen in it (no chemicals of any kind) and it is called "Baby-ganics" NOT sure of the spelling right now because I changed purses and misplaced it! It is like a lotion and it squirts out a sprayer. I put it into my hand, rub my fingers together and rub it all over my face and neck. It acts as a moisturizer and is really nice. I also have the Australian Botanical tube that is tinted, all natural and greaseless. It is also is from drugstore with spf 50 and dries to a matte finish. They both work well under makeup. I hope that might help you.

I am so glad you did this! I used the whipped color stay crème foundation long ago because of you and really liked it. Now my skin has been changing and I tried the regular EL Double Wear, only to have it turn orange, UD All Nighter (though I am fair -light and tried LIGHTER shades) oxidized so badly it looked like I had a light coating of PUMPKIN PIE on my face! I haven't tried the Jouer yet, but when I can afford to buy it, I want to. I hear it is great. I am combination so the Geller one I KNOW would be a bit TOO moist, though it looks pretty. SO, when you talked so highly of the "Good Ol' Maybelline" Superstay, I was ecstatic! LOL! GOODY! ONE I can AFFORD that I know the products don't oxidize on me and I can pick it up in town at the drugstore or Walmart! Plus the fact that I won't need a concealer and it lasts well? BONUS! Thank you for the options and facts and showing the products you believed best fit!

YAYY!! You’ve finally spoken about the Even Steven foundation! I had seen it at my local Kohl’s and was intrigued. Thinking it might be similar to my beloved Revlon colorstay whipped. And then I kept seeing it in your info box that you were wearing it! I’m on my second “tub” of it and MAN..... I absolutely adore it. The shade is perfection on me, the texture is stunning, and it wears incredibly well on my extremely oily skin. If I lightly powder after primer and before foundation (the old Wayne Goss trick) I can go about 10 hours before having to blot. And that’s INCREDIBLE for me! Thanks for this killer round up Em, nailed it per usual! 💜💜😘😘

So glad you reviewed Cover Lock. I’ve been meaning to try it. My favorite full-coverage products are Laura Geller’s Real Deal Concealers and Foundations and Lancôme’s Teint Miracle Bare Foundation.

I’m so so happy you mentioned the Maybelline 24 hr Stay foundation! I thought I was the only one who saw this competing with higher end brands. It’s wonderful for my dry skin. I’d also give an honorable mention to Cover Girl’s Vitalist Healthy Elixir for dry skin. Yes, CG!

I have tried the Maybelline SuperStay foundation, and I have to add a drop of oil to make it look good or else any dry area on my skin is emphasized. And it also oxidizes so I have a shade that is a few shades lighter than what I usually use.

I had some melasma type spots on my face and I started using the Ole Henrickson Truth Serum and it faded them. I'm 60 y/o and can go without foundation sometimes because of the Truth Serum. It's awesome.

I like double wear nude. I've been living in a light foundation with concealer for trouble spots for the summer. Skin Feels Good from Lancome has been a nice treat for running around in the heat. I think spot treating vs full coverage has been helping hold up to the humidity and sweat. Great info in the video! I've had to use full coverage just to hang in with all my oily skin problems so knowing my options is great!

I got the maybelline superstay after you mentioned it a while back and i love it. I used to use the Rimmel Lasting Finish. Love that these don't come off or wipe off until you wash them off, but still feel light enough on the skin. I still get the oily/shiny T-zone after about 5 or 6 hours of wear. I use blotting sheets. But i recently discovered Tarte's Smooth Operator finishing powder and just dab a little on my T -zone and this works for me all day! So happy. A little goes a long way. Thanks for this review and recommendation. 😊👍

I don’t ever wear full coverage foundation. I could definitely use the help to even out my skin, but I have only ever worn B.B. cream or powders. I said that to say this- I just love your videos! I find your content interesting and enjoyable regardless of whether I would use the same products myself. I think that says so much about you and the quality of your channel.

Thanks! I just bought the Estee Lauder double wear today! Yay I give it a 10. My melasma is gone and it's totally worth $42.00. Thanks for the video. I kept buying cheaper products and spent way over $50.00 finally bc of your video I found my solution. It's quick and easy to apply does not feel or look heavy or cakey. It even covered my dark circles under my eyes. Wow can't believe my face looks even and clear.

I use the Natasha Denona Foundation X which is the same price as the foundations you have mentioned. It is brilliant. I have SEVERE pigmentation and this is the only one that covers all the dark patches and is a very thin application. I do not know why people do not talk more about it maybe they think it will cost a lot, but it is not. I swear by it. Changed my life.

Loving your thought for the day! I have oily and very acne prone skin. I don't wear much foundation, but when I do, I like 100% Pure brand foundations. I've tried several, the highest coverage is the Healthy Skin Foundation, it's excellent. I love their powder foundation for everyday coverage and shine control.

Dang, I just got back from Ulta looking for a full-coverage foundation for oilier skin. The Ulta rep steered me towards the Tarte Shape Tape Matte foundation. I was hoping to get the Too Faced Peach Perfect but that's only available at Sephora (and there is no Sephora that's close to me, darn it). So I'll be trying this in the AM. If it doesn't work I think I'll be looking at the Urban Decay option you mentioned. But that Maybelline Super Stay is so not full coverage on me. I hear so many people say that it is but the coverage just isn't there for me. But girl, I can't wait to hear about your eyeshadows - what a stunning look!!!
