Good clean run. Stayed on yalls side of the mustard and drove within your limits. I like to see it. I’m born and raised about 20mins from the TOTD and am up there often.
In europe crossing into the other lane to cut corners when there is appropriate visibility is not only normal its considered efficient driving, not sure why Americans don’t have common sense. In this particular road there is barely any visibility ahead so I’m glad these guys stayed in their lane.
When people claim that they "need to cross the mustard in order to get the perfect racing line", show them this video. Solid copy man. Your Veloster and that BRZ had a great run!
he's got a veloster? Which one? I've got a G1 VT and was hoping to come here some day next summer with some internet friends. I've been teasing the idea.
He has a Veloster N I believe. And yeah man, I've seen them rip around there too. They're fun on this pass- just don't exceed your limit and you should have a grand time!@@SpentSole
His form is trash, he's forcing a knee down by crossing his torso up. You should be leaning full force into the corner, not leaning the other way to get your knee down more.
Hes going slow and shit and has poor form. He knows hes slower than the cars behind him and he passed a dozen pull of zones where he could be courteous and let the two clearly faster vehicles go by.
Guy's form doesn't look pretty, but it works for him. Experienced rider that's taking nice lines smoothly & have the confidence go at pace in wet/dry condition. I've seen plenty of folks that doesn't have an ideal body positioning be incredibly quick on the track. Also, anyone seen the GP's in Doohan/Rainey/Schwantz era?
Finally some good driving, rarely see people driving within their line these days claiming they need to perfect racing line. This video shows how its done.
Mountain run is so much better than drag race I love the scenery and corner point, ryosuke in initial D saying same about "what's the fun in racing in straight line, it's so much fun driving into not predictable area"
It's trash compared to circuit, though. There's no racing line, it's just riding whatever tires you have to their limit. With circuit driving you have to really figure out the fastest way around, the fastest way isn't always "start on the outside line, dip in a little, finish on outside line again".
@@actually5004 Not at all what I'm talking about. People throwing parts at cars and buying better cars to begin with makes the racing bullsht pay to win. You guys need to not follow so close to a motorcycle. Give them space. This is great to see, and I'm jealous. We've got some awesome touge-like roads in the Coastal Range and the Cascades, some are nearly deserted. Lots of logging roads too. But no one around here drives for pleasure. Makes me sad. I'd attempt to organize a local time attack club or something, but there is literally no interest. There are some nice sports cars in town, even a JDM GT-R, but it's just status symbols for rich kids, they have no interest in driving.

@@HifeMan the dudes body leaning hard af and barely leaning the bike into the turns. It doesnt do anything for his turning he couldve been upright and turning exactly the same lol
@@ce2341 So probably just having fun and getting warm up. lol Body lean helps you keep the bike more upright, more upright is more traction. Plus on the street you never really wanna max out your lean angle on the bike, It good to do more body lean to maintain more traction and upright riding. Also depending on bikes, some bikes don’t have good ground clearance for lean and you have to be more aggressive with body lean to keep it more upright, like my W800 :) lol
Suggest taking tags off and keeping gems like these on the low.. Cops are out here watching videos like these, the car scene in central and western florida is dying due to cops tracking spots like these and shutting them down. unless this place is purposely made for spirited driving

Takes a lot more skill, too. Driving fast on a track is one thing, but driving fast on a public road is a whole 'nother world.
