The biggest aspect that this show skirts around and doesn't really address is caste. All of her candidates are rich people, and most of them come from old money upper caste families and many want to marry people within the "same community" (read caste), with their kids also carrying on this bigotry and not protesting against it. This is also why she says it'll be difficult for Nadia to get matches even though she doesn't state it outright.

It is. Otherwise it cannot get the pass on racism, casteism kinda stuffs. Indian casteism is something which never gets addressed in International media. This upper kids always makes it suppressed and also makes the other middle class ppl to believe that it's ok to see caste and it's perfect.

They're more comfortable that way.
In india those parents who are against love marriage will always look for caste but if they are ok with love marriage cast really doesn't play a role.

Caste and horoscope get high priority in Indian wedding. I remember while dating a girl , I tried everything to impress her but she finally got impressed by my so called high caste as she belongs to the same. I got too mad and broke contact with her. People should be little open minded. It applied for both forward and backward castes not only forward.
