🌸 പഴനി 🌸
പഴനി മലയുടെ മുകളിലാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിച്ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഇവിടെ മുരുകനെ ദണ്ഡപാണി എന്ന രൂപത്തിൽ ആരാധിക്കുന്നു. കയ്യിൽ വടി(ദണ്ഡം) ആയുധമായി ധ്യാനരൂപത്തിലാണ് ദണ്ഡപാണി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നത്.
🌸തിരിചന്തൂർ 🌸
തൂത്തുകുടിയിൽ സമുദ്രത്തീരത്തായാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. മുരുകൻ ശൂരപദ്മനെ വധിച്ചത് ഇവിടെവെച്ചാണ് എന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു.
🌸സ്വാമിമല 🌸
കാവേരിയുടെ ഒരു പോഷകനദിയുടെ തീരത്ത് സ്വാമി മല എന്ന കുന്നിന്മുകളിലായി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. മുരുകൻ തന്റെ പിതാവായ ശിവന് പ്രണവമന്ത്രമായ ഓം കാരത്തിന്റെ( ॐ) പൊരുൾ അരുൾചെയ്തത് ഇവിടെവെച്ചാണ് എന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം. ആയതിനാൽ മുരുകനെ സ്വാമിനാഥൻ (സ്വാമി =ശിവൻ) എന്ന രൂപത്തിൽ ഇവിടെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

ക്ഷേത്ര ഐതിഹ്യപ്രകാരം സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യസ്വാമി ദേവയാനിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചത് ഇവിടെ വെച്ചാണ്

തമിഴ്നാട്ടിൽ ചെന്നൈക്ക് സമീപമാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. മുരുകൻ വള്ളിയെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചത് തിരുത്തണിയിൽ വെച്ചാണ് എന്നാണ് വിശ്വാസം.

മതുരൈ ജില്ലയിൽ "നുപുര ഗംഗൈ" എന്ന ഒരു ചെറു അരുവിയുടെ സമീപമായാണ് പഴമുതിർചോലൈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യസ്വാമി വള്ളി-ദേവയാനി സമേതനായാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിലകൊള്ളുന്നത്
