That looked like a beauty hike Daryl and great to see Mickey along for the adventure! I also struggle to get Mason to look at the lens most of the time. It is like he deliberately avoids looking at the camera. Its both funny and annoying at the same time. From the looks of the overgrowth on some sections of the trail, it does look lightly used but it is always great to have the trail all to yourself (especially when filming). Love the shot @3:19 with the sunlight coming through the crack in those magnificent rocks. Looking forward to part II on Horseshoe. Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks Trevor. I appreciate your support and feedback. I just returned from a camping trip and I tried to emulate some of the photography strategies I've seen you use. You still won't recognize any, but I tried. 😀
@@flynorthproductions That's great to hear. I will look forward to seeing the video! I also just got back from camping... quite close to Grab Lake actually! Video pending. Cheers Daryl. T.
Very true. I always forget to look behind me when I'm hiking or paddling so I miss out on 50% of the views sometimes. Thanks for reminding me to stop and look around every once in awhile.
You and Mickey always have a grand time hiking! I guess he's still a little bit shy. Great to see the comparison with the forest in winter, and it does look like a great snowshoeing trail... we haven't found many good ones near us. It did look like the grasses were taking over the new wooden boardwalk, lol. Good thing you guys got out there and hopefully more people will get out and enjoy these trails!! :) Have a great new week, Jen 🙌🙌
Beautiful trail. Peaceful area. ❤ It's so nice that Mickey joined you. Lovely hike! The lakes were both very pretty in your drone shots! 😊 The moss covered rock is neat!
It's hard to get the doggos to look at the camera. Lol. I'm glad your memory is still serving you well. Can definitely be hard, though, to explore with the seasonal differences.
Awesome!!! Wow, I felt like I was there... The bush around there is so awesome and familiar to me... Thanks for taking us along! Regarding memory, I've heard it said that the knees are the first thing to go. The second thing is.... um.... I forgot. 🫤 Mickey gives the camera a smoulder. VERY nice! Lol! Thanks Daryl!
Yea, that darn memory 😅. Queen Elizabeth park around us has huge rock formations similar to that. Areas off trail, behind us, have much better exploration opportunities. Nice smile, Mickey😮
There's something about random chunks of big rock in the forest that I find interesting. I hope to get out to your area some time in the next couple of seasons - such a beautiful region.
That is a pretty area. Reminds me of hiking in northern Minnesota. I think Mickey did look at the camera momentarily. Glad you passed your memory test! 😊👍
Thank you! And yes, it does look like some wilderness I've seen in Minnesota. Mickey hates the camera so even getting a glance was a feat. Thanks for watching.
As always this is a well made video of you. It's so beautiful there. Wonderful nature and landscape. It was very interesting to watch. Many greetings 😀
It's nice that you were able to have the trail for yourself😁 How does Mickey feel about walking back and forth to the camera for a shot? Does he think you're crazy😀 It's a beautiful park you are in! Glad your memory is still doing well🧠
It's funny you should ask that, Age. He's fine with it on the way there but as soon as we start heading back, he doesn't automatically follow me, he'd rather just wait for me to get it over with. So I have to call him to make it work sometimes but he always complies, if somewhat grudgingly. Thanks for joining us. Have a great week.
@@flynorthproductions maybe on the way out, he doesn't know what the destination is so he's out just enjoying the trip, but once you're on the way back he knows your going home so is set on that. As long as he comes when you call, that is all you can ask😁
Thanks! Yes, it's so nice to find under-appreciated places, trails, lakes, etc. No litter, no graffiti. It's awesome but getting more and more rare. Thanks for watching.

Nice hike. I always say that the same trail but different seasons or even the same season different direction makes for a new hiking perspective. 👍👍

Mickey is one cool puppy... Carpet of green .. man that's pretty. A Beautiful Landscape, Day, Dog and Hike .. 😊✌️
Thanks Jim - and no bugs either! It doesn't get much better than that. Cheers.
Landscapes through the seasons can sure change a perspective!!
Thanks for the tour Daryl✌
Thanks Marc - looking forward to your next one. Cheers.
So much to explore and so little time. It was an amazing trip up North and I can't wait to return.
Glad you made it up our way, I hope you return again. Thanks!
Another enjoyable hike around Whitefish Falls area. Mickey is looking great! It is always nice to have some memory tests successfully completed!
I love that area. Yes, as I get older I find myself testing my cognitive abilities on a more frequent basis. 😀
Beautiful nature ❤❤
Thanks for visiting
Beautiful! I always love seeing how different a trail can look depending on the season. Looking forward to Pt 2. Pats to Mickey! 🐾
Thanks HikerT, and congrats on your latest van-build video - lots of views! Awesome!!!
@@flynorthproductions thank you! ☺

Thanks very much Robert - glad to see you're regularly making videos again. Cheers. Daryl
Very pretty area! Mickey is so adorable! It's cool how you could see the moss through the ice. Another great video! 😁💚👊
Thank you 🤗 Mickey's a keeper, for sure. Thanks again.
That is a lush forest! I enjoyed the walk. Nice to see how they look in different seasons 😊
Thanks - yes the trail was a lot easier to travel in the summer though. 😀 Thanks for watching.
Nice hike and I like the rock formation. Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
Thank you very much!
Nice hike around the lakes. Mickey always seems to like being out on these hikes. 👍16
Thanks Craig. Yeah, Mickey loves our hikes and not just because I give him the bacon off my Bacon and Egg McMuffin on our way there. 😀

Thank you, and yes it is very peaceful. Mickey loves our hikes but we're both starting to feel our age. 😀
Your a wealth of ideas for future trips!!!!
Thanks and so are you! Cheers. ~ Daryl

Nice looking trail.

😂 Yeah , that's about it. Thanks for watching, Jeff, and I hope you have a great week out where you are.
Great to see you and your hiking buddy enjoying the trail. Nice water views and those big rocks were neat looking.
Thanks very much! Mickey loves those trails, almost as much as the rocky ridges we usually hike on.

Yes, they are interesting for sure @flynorthproductions
Very nice hike and forest and cute dog.
Thank you very much!
Very beautiful area. I too like the moss covered rocks. I can't remember if my memory is bad or not, lol. Nicely done Daryl!
😂 Yeah, as I age, I keep checking myself for things like that for some reason. So far, so good. Thanks for watching, Jim. Have a great week. Daryl

Thanks so much, John. Say hi to Simba for me.

Thank you kindly - I appreciate you watching and commenting! Regards from Canada.
Great trail - I always look for a way to make something a loop instead of tracking back
Me too - though I probably underestimated the fatigue factor on that trip. Both Mickey and I needed a couple of days to recover. 😊
Thats really good 👌
Thank you! Much appreciated.
Indeed, it sure doesn't look like many people have been through the area. Which actually could be a very good thing!
That is definitely the way I prefer it! Thanks for watching!

Thanks Janson, I hope to get to the old MacMillan Mine out that way in the near future. I'll keep my eye open for artifacts for you. 😉
One thing is clear, if I am going to join you on one of these adventures, better start training now. Next year we do a paddle.
Lol! Sounds great to me!
