🙂💙👍Thank You Daryl what a Beautiful Day for Kayaking no wind and so calm blue sky. I bet it is good Trout fishing around some of those rock ledges great places for them to hide out. You have some Awesome Drone Shots of the area. You have an Amazing and very Beautiful area for Kayaking and Camping out very Peaceful and Relaxing just sit back and listen to Nature and enjoy it. 🙂💙👍Loved this Beautiful Adventure Thanks. 🙂👍
Thanks Robert. I was trying to get a more relaxed vibe from this video compared to my others, so I appreciate you mentioning it. That's very kind of you. Have a great week. ~ Daryl
Telling your friend that the Continents aren't where they used to be when he went to school was awesome😂😂 What a beautiful day you had out there! That was pretty relaxing😊 Thanks, Daryl😀
So glad you commented on that, Age. I thought it was a pretty good zinger too. 😀 My friend has a great sense of humour and he can dish it back just as well - unfortunately for him, I was the only one with a microphone. 😉
Fabulous scenery, and love the quality of your footage. A 1000 thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Many greetings from your new Danish friend in China.... Thomas
Wow. Those are some calm and crystal clear waters alright. I see what you mean about the rocks sneaking up on you when paddling - but what an underwater landscape! You were definitely lucky to have such smooth paddle conditions on that big water. I love the mazes of tight channels and paddleways. Campsite choice looked good as well. Some good burns in this video too: “I’m not saying you are old… but the continents are not where they used to be when you went to school”. Niceee. Always nice to spend time with the elders! :p Now what about those ‘cutting room floor’ clips??? Looking forward to part II. Cheers!
Thanks Trevor. I kind of regret not bringing an underwater camera with me on that trip but I was pretty laden with gear as it was. I'm glad you caught my joke, he got a few back at me as well, but I was the only one with a mic. 😉 My cutting room floor does indeed have a lot of footage on it! 😀 Thanks again. Cheers. ~ Daryl
Hi Daryl... What a beautiful time on the water. The rocks, the calm water, the weather, the campsite and the friendship. That was so nice to watch, love it. Oh, now I'm jealous... Great Work 😊✌
Awesome, Daryl! Just beautiful! What a trip! Beautiful scenery, good friend, lovely campsite.... living the dream, my friend! And as always, Monday made! Thanks for the video! Can't wait for part 2!
Thanks Jeff. I hope next season to get out to the Benjamins, so if you have any tips about camping or paddling out that way, please let me know. Thanks again. ~ Daryl
Really enjoyed this paddle to Fox Islands. What a beautiful peaceful place! The opening shot is absolutely gorgeous! Good choice of music and the sound of the paddles gently stroking the surface of the water is very soothing. Thanks!
Always nice to have a buddy along to share the fun with. Loved the footage from above! Looks like you two got the perfect campsite. Look forward to the next episode my friend!
Wow the rocks and the still water just took my breath away - incredibly beautiful! Fun banter with your friend too. Thanks for showing us this gorgeous area
Now you're just showing off!! What an absolute beauty of an area!! So reminds me of paddling on Frozen Ocean here at Keji...calm and clear and the rocks appear out of nowhere!! One perfect day!!
Lol! Thanks Bruce. Yes, that place speaks for itself in terms of its beauty. It was a perfect day for sure. Thanks for watching and please give Otis a bite of banana for me. 😉
Such a pretty and peaceful kayaking/camping trip. Love those calm and clear waters. The camera shots made us feel like we were there with you. Awesome islands to paddle through! Great camp spot! Beautiful!
Absolutely beautiful scenery.👍👍. Michelle just said "Stunning". Like the addition to your intro👍. You can certainly tell that you upgraded your camera 👍. Really well done, and what a camping spot👍👍. All the best, Michelle and Holger 🙏
Daryl, you did a great job filming this video. Loved the scenery, narration (as always), music, and bantering between you and your friend. I look forward to your camping experience next week!
Thanks so much for the constructive feedback, Kathleen. I really appreciate it. I'm regularly influenced by your content so hearing this means a lot. Have a great week.
Wow with a capital “W”! Could you have picked a more gorgeous day to paddle? Stunning “glass” water, sunshine and bluest of blue skies. Absolutely breathtaking video, Daryl! Makes me want to paddle there, too.
Thanks Rob. The weather was absolutely amazing that day, we were very lucky. I hope you make can some plans to get out on the bay next season. Let me know if I can help. Cheers.
Great adventure on the water! Super fun to set out on such a lovely day, especially with an "old" friend. Love seeing your bright colored kayaks against the blue water. I'm sure you had an amazing time- looking forward to the next episode!! :) ⭐🌞💙👍
What an absolutely stunning day to be on the Bay! I've never paddled Georgian before and if I can find a day like you had here, it seems like an utter paradise. I'm enjoying the multi-part bigger adventure format too! Nice work on the new opening/end cards.
Thanks Warren - I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts on the format change; it's something I hope to do more of next season. Any time you want to go for a paddle on the Bay, feel free to give me a shout.
Great video Daryl! Makes me wish summer wasn't over! I recognize every nook and cranny out there. When you get into some of those shallow bays on PEI, it's amazing how many sunken logs there are from the old days of log booming! Looking forward to part 2.
Thanks! I will have to make a point of looking for those logs you mentioned, I haven't really encountered them just yet. I'm glad you liked it, I know you appreciate that place as much as I do.
What a lovely, serene morning for a paddle on Georgian Bay - such gorgeous blues and glassy water! We had a decidedly different character on Huron's waters when we were down there on the Thanksgiving weekend. Similar lovely vistas, but quite breezy and wavy! That really looks like a nice campsite you found - though we're not huge fans of camping without topsoil, sometimes it just has to be done. Great job as usual!
Thanks Jay. I actually prefer tenting on flat rock over topsoil, it helps keep the tent clean inside. 😀 The weather that day was perfect - I can appreciate how big the waves and swells can be out there. I started watching your amazing Temagami adventure last night, you did a great job of spreading the word about protecting Wolf Lake and the forests around it. Looking forward to watching more of it tonight. Cheers. ~ Daryl
@@flynorthproductions You make a good point about the benefit of not having dirt under the tent...we'll try to look at it that way next time we have this condition! Thanks so much for your kind words and for checking out the Temagami video. It's definitely a magical place that is worth taking care of. 😁
What a beautiful day. I really liked how clear the water was and how you could see the rocks below. Although, I can totally see how that would be a challenge to go over some of those rocks with the kayak. It must have been critical to adjust the skeg when you went over rocks like that. Looking forward to seeing your camping trip in the next one.
I did the French River from Sturgeon Falls to Key River/69 a month and a half ago. The weather on the Bay was similar to yours. I was able to capture a lot of the underwater rocks in my video, which was such a treat. What a great great place to paddle. I really liked the area you did, and will definitely put it on my to do list. Great stuff.
Yes, I watched your video, start-to-finish, over a few days. Your drone shots were excellent, especially when you got to the mouth of the French. Glad you liked this area, it's a pretty-well protected area for paddling. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Wow, that was two tents! 😂 Interesting galcial potholes! Something we both know plenty about from living in N. ON cities, eh? Really great video! I really enjoyed that and know the excitement of exploring the shoreline of the greatest Great Lake there is! I also reached out to a friend of mine who is an avid kayak/camper about the Benjamins. I'll let you know if he has anything worthwhile knowing...
Lol! Good joke! Thank you so much for reaching out to your friend, I really appreciate it. I've been told the nearby Fox Island (different from these Fox Islands) is a worthwhile stop. Thanks as always.
Man did you ever hit some nice waters on this outing 👍 That was awesome! Do you know anything about Blockbuster Island? There is supposed to be a couple of good view points on there. I'm thinking of doing a quick overnight there next year. Thanks for showing Daryl✌
Thanks Marc. Yeah the weather was perfect and as you well know, it often isn't that way out there. I had never heard of Blockbuster Island, is it near the Hawk Islands? If so, you might want to check out this channel, he has kayaked much further out in the big water than I have. www.youtube.com/@slowridephotographyadventu6850 Also Janson, a local guy, might be able to help you out. He knows that area very well. www.youtube.com/@jsteelsadventureandvariety4545 I hope you do get out there and make a video of it, I would love to watch that. Cheers.
@@flynorthproductions Its well before the Hawk Islands, a larger island a bit further out. I'm thinking Janson would know of it, but I'll check out channel for sure👍 Thanks!
Beautiful video, that water does look clearer than I remember seeing it in mid-late August, I wonder if some of the algae washed away since then. Im also wondering if you stayed at Martins island, wehre I stayed :) Looking forward to seeing the next video :)
