Today, we’re doing a beginner, drugstore, stage makeup tutorial! Plus, I use hardly any brushes-and the ones that I do use are super budget friendly!
This is a perfect look for anyone who wants a hassle-free, natural looking face onstage. I’d definitely recommend this for your school play, first musical, a choir performance-anything where you’ll be under stage lights!

This video literally saved me today. I am in Annie (Boylan Sister/Dancer/Cecille) and I realized my Ben Nye is the wrong shade. I panicked. I have to say out of the 3 tutorials I have watched for beginners this 1 is definitely the easiest. I'm kinda concerned cos I have literally never worn makeup but what I have learnt is eyeshadow basically goes from bottom to top, light, dark, medium. Eyebrows are important so make them noticeable and be very over the top with blush. Sums it up pretty good and I'm very glad you made this vid cos my sister refused to show me how to do stage makeup and I have a show in less then a week 😅

I sooooooo recommend the tarte Amazonian clay foundation!!! I used it when I was Clara in the radio city Christmas spectacular!! I was 10 though so it lasted a while lol!

I really loved this! I'm actually pretty skilled with makeup (I'm usually head of hair and makeup for shows) but this tutorial is awesome! I love watching these to get a feel for drugstore products I need to stock up on. :) One little thing--don't blow on your brushes! (I do the same bad habit.) It just spreads germs on to your brush and theatre people need to stay well. :) Thanks for this and I can't wait to see more!

My stage eye makeup is always a medium brown crease and a champagne loose shadow on the lid. With then eyeliner and mascara.

I'm watching this two hours before my very first performance! (I'm not counting my middle school musicals as I was always ensemble. This is a community theater group and I'm one of the youngest there. Guildenstern in Hamlet! Oddly enough, both Rosencrantz and I will be wearing skirts yet are still referred to as men and gentlemen.
you should count your middle school musicals! ensemble is just as important and those musicals are what lead to what you are able to do now.

OMG, I literally REACH OVER my Ben Nye foundation to get to my Maybelline Fit Me foundation&concealer, I love that stuff so much! And thanks for the sore voice help last week- I went out and bought Emergen-C and my life is so much better.

I am singing My New Philosophy from You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and for a ballad Candle on the Water from Pete's Dragon, but I don't know what to do if they want a monologue. What are some comedic and dramatic 1 minute monologues for around 8-12 year olds?
Hey Katie! That's awesome! I would recommend researching legit, great plays (I'd do so by going down the list of plays that were nominated for Tony awards) and see if there are characters that fit that age range. Break a leg!!! 🎉💕🎭

Does anyone know how seeatproof this is? Like heavy duty look-like-you-just-went-swimming sweating.
Actually she is correct this look is pretty basic and will work for really any non era specific show! To make my life easier I use all powder foundations and eyeshadows! Doing 30+ people for a production one has to make it easier and quicker! I usually forego the concealer and just use a powder highlighter and set the face when completed! This look wears well! If a person was to get hot/sweaty quickly just apply a little more setting powder and all is good!!!
