- Queen Elizabeth II was born Princess Elizabeth Alexandra Mary on April 21, 1926, in London, to Prince Albert, Duke of York (later known as King George VI), and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon. She married Philip Mountbatten, Duke of Edinburgh, in 1947, became queen on February 6, 1952, and was crowned on June 2, 1953. She is the mother of Prince Charles, heir to the throne, as well as the grandmother of princes William and Harry. As the longest-serving monarch in British history, she has tried to make her reign more modern and sensitive to a changing public while maintaining traditions associated with the crown. #Biography

I think the Queen is such a lovely and humble woman. I am a Canadian, and have great respect and adoration for her. So many people are unfortunately generous with insults toward Her Majesty. This is most unfair. She has dedicated her life to her reign. Her life has never really been her own. She is under constant watch and scrutiny. She has accepted it all and handled it with grace and humility. God save the Queen...and God bless her. ✨💐✨

They were Queen 400 years apart from one another, they looked completely different, dressed completely different and were both uniquely iconic in completely different ways. It's really an unforgivable mistake, especially for a biographer.

What a dull, boring and anodyne monarch she has been. On the British throne for the last 66+ years and, frankly, I cannot think of a single exciting highlight, that she was responsible for, in all of that time. Compare and contrast her with her namesake Elizabeth the First, a dashing, feisty and above all effective ruler who gave her name to her period in history - no contest!
