I have been playing Animal Crossing for the last two years on the same (original) island and I still love to play. Then again, I don’t time travel and I take my time decorating, so that may make a huge difference. Either way, these tips are useful and I appreciate you sharing them, Katie. My favorite villager is Pudge.
Yes Ma'am these are all awesome. I did hardcore mode from Jan 1st to end of March and I still love my island. I had a couple of altered rules for myself but overall it's terrific.
I recommend a "I love Katie of Calla Cove Day". Six days in a row I dropped fish, and not just any fish but the rare ones at the pier. I yelled at my switch; "Come on, Katie, give me a hand here!" And I swear on my life it worked. I have managed to collect several fish models. I have even managed to find the last three pieces of art for the museum, almost exactly two years to the day I began playing ACNH. Thanks, Katie. You've re-invigorated the game for me. :)

I'm so glad I'm not alone or weird in thinking about some of these things lol The creative possibilities, expressions, personalities/individuality, and stories that islands can have are exactly what I love about ACNH, and has definitely kept me coming back since I got the game
These ideas are so fun! I’ve actually made a second save file recently on my Switch so I can have two homes on my island, that one’s going to be a hotel and honestly I’m looking forward to decorating it :) I love the originality of these ideas too
I have also a tip: don’t have a online Nintendo membership. You’re forced to take part in all the events otherwise you won’t get any items (from treasure islands etc)

Love these tips! Also, try completing nook mile goals. Catch 100 fish in a row, dig up clams, craft x number of tools! Getting villager photos is an other fun one 😊
When I get another Switch (had to sell mine to pay bills ☹️) I'm going to do Hardcore mode starting from January 1st cause I also want to complete my Museum! Thanks for the ideas 🙂
I have Whitney and Chief on my island and they are not just a real couple in my imagination! Chief has confessed his love to Whitney. I even have screenshots of it when he tells her that they are "more than friends". :D I miss the holidays from the old parts. Like the Flea Market and April Fool's Day. But the idea of inventing your own holidays and events is great! But I'm not the type of player who constantly rearranges her island.

suprised that I have unknowingly been playing hardcore mode somewhat already. I do minimal terraforming, only allow myself 10nmt per villager because I use miles I actually earned in the game, I have no friends and too antisocial to trade/ try treasure islands. That means I also only buy/sell turnips on my island, I don’t time travel, My first and only time using an amiibo was for Isabelle on Harvs island, not to move in a villager. And I never buy tools (waste of my hard earned bells) lol 😅 And I haven’t got bored yet 😁👍🏽
I just started playing ACNH again since May 2020. It’s so weird coming back after so long. I felt like I literally avoided going back because I think I went too hard from March - May. But omg it’s so beautiful 🥹 Will be using your tips to hopefully keep the passion for my island going lol.

Here’s a Tip of the Day…… This Tip of the Day is for those , who really burnout for way too faster than others. The Tip of the Day is: If you are really new to your home island you can always be like me , cuz it’s best to jus take it really slow and jus take it from day to day for everyday. And be more as a: Builder But being as a Builder actually takes everyday jus to build stuff as when you really need it , but also to strategize out how you want things to be and where it goes. But also to be opened to leaving a lot of spaces opened , so you can make that spaces for the paths. But jus don’t overfill your island too much , cuz you will need more spaces to move around in. But also to sell the stuff that you don’t think that you know that you don’t need on your island , cuz that will free up the spaces on your island. But if you already do have an island that is overstuffed , well make the places that is blocked to be easier to move around in. But if you are wondering what to do with those unwanted stuff , well you can give them to other players who are more newer to this game. But jus think of that as for giving away from the goodness of your heart , if you do something good like that then something good might come back to you. I just restarted my game today. I suck at terraforming, so I'll probably try out that Hardcore mode. I mean, not terraforming is the only thing I haven't done the entire time I played Animal Crossing.
I have never used Mods in the 2 years this game came out. And I have only ever time traveled so that I could have some one over to shop because they were trading me something and wanted to shop Able's. I do my "chores" and go to random dream addresses. I also have seasonal areas that I can change around to feel fresh.
With the Lore you can incorporate the Nintendo Switch Online Island Newsletter~ 👏 I loved reading those whenever it updates. One can choose a villager(s) to be the newspaper 📰 writers/editers. Build a newsprint area.
I feel like mods would explode my switch or something and I don’t want any because I love acnh and the things you could do are limited without mods but With mods I feel like it’s the same so yeaaa
Been playing since launch March 2020. I have never used a mod in playing ACNH. That's what time travel is for. I guess the reason why I'm still decorating my island is because I have a mutli-core island theme and overall anime theme park. Kinda like a Universal Studios. Yes, that means making use of the 8 profiles as you said. I paid all the loans and maxed out storage of all of them. Lol. Other than 1 personal home, I have a hotel and 6 other themed houses. Why stop at one themed when you have access to so many themed items? Also, been taking breaks from ACNH for other games so it's nice to pace yourself than burn out from one game.
I’m bored only because I still haven’t gotten several items key to my design ideas, including the medieval wall and western storefront. I play daily and have been playing for almost two years…(sigh)…don’t really want to buy HHP in the hopes it will increase my chances of getting these items.
Oh wow, every time I restart my island I auto fill all the villagers and this time I was so unlucky 😂 they were all so awful! I love all of these ideas! Thank you. I’ve got an idea for a new theme too now because of this video… thank you 🥰
The hardcore mode is cool except I've had my island since release and I'm keeping it. I'm also confused by the 48 hour gifted clothing requirement. If it was reality would we really be wearing anything for that long? Most people change daily. I already visit less than 10 islands, often only 3, because I'm not that picky about villagers and try to have a variety of personalities and species. I do sell turnips elsewhere and have no plans to stop.
