  • In Episode 12 Join Iona and Cammy as they speak with Graeme Parker, also known as The Hoof GP.
    Graeme has the largest Agricultural TH-cam channel in the world and he brings the world of cattle hoof trimming to the masses in a way that's easy to understand.
    We were lucky enough to have him in the studio recently where we talked about a huge range of things from his dad trying to shoot his mother when he was a boy, to losing the family farm, to trying multiple occupations and finally to his success on TH-cam and just how much money has he made?
    We hope you enjoy.

    I started watching the Hoof GP because it was interesting to see that Cows have their hooves trimed, why they trim them, and the problems the cows have. I continued to watch because Graeme is entertaining as well.

    I never realized Graeme had to have his face put back together--he looks like he's never had an injury to his face at all. Kudos to his plastic surgeons!

      He worked with a concussion. Being knocked unconscious is a severe concussion! Yes he's lucky he didn't also fall on concrete but... Yikes! Thank God he's able to work and function so well! And yes he looks great, would never have guessed.

    There is so much to like about Graeme - genuine, professional, likeable (perhaps to his surprise!), talented, love for family and friends. I know he isn't perfect, none of us are, but he is an inspiration for pushing yourself to achieve and remaining grounded in the achievement. Thanks so much for the interview and to Graeme for being so open and honest - I genuinely enjoyed this. 💜 Oh, and yes please to the Scots or slang - that was hilarious 😂

You get to see the workings of cow hooves. Greame Parker is a very good instructor to us and mentor for his brothers-in-law. The music is fabulous. It's the whole channel package.

      This is the second time I've watched this, and I missed that part the first time thru. Two of my brothers lost contact with their first borns thru divorce, and after the kids reached teenage years. (Kids decisions) I just lost one of my brothers to a long-term illness, and we all counseled him to reach out to his son as we all had reconnected thru Facebook. Sadly, he wouldn't do it saying his son had made his decision, but we all felt it was teenager stupidity. He came to my brothers funeral to say goodbye. Long story to say leave room in your heart to accept people back into your life folks.

    • @greatscott625
      @greatscott625 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Ashforddrvr well said. I haven't had contact with my own father for 50 years, but it was through his own choosing as far as I can determine. I found his address online years ago and sent him a Father's Day card but heard nothing back. Since my mom died a couple years ago, I would like to talk and get his side of many things I was told because I learned things after her death that make me question her side. But I also see his silence and his relationship with his own mother as answer enough in many ways.

    The one thing I appreciate from Cammy, GP and Sandi, you don't use destresing, misleading click bait titles to draw watching.
    After the annual YT conference, others did and viewer's get emotionally connected to your progress and hardships.

    Just to say also that it is a wonderful thing to see - and an inspiration to other folks - that he made his money by doing something good and positive, not from any kind of cunning plan aimed at ripping people off, or doing anything nefarious. And that is a massive breath of fresh air in our culture, where so many people see other folks as targets rather than fellow humans. Graeme is a shining example of a good man who has done well by hard work and intelligence - and he is not selfish with it, instead he shares the benefits of his success with all the people he loves. It is a beautiful thing to see. And I hope all the folks who watch his videos are learning this, alongside the hoof trimming skills.. Because we need more people like Graeme in the world.

    I l❤ve the Hoof GP. For some reason and I just assume it’s because I had been watching Sandi Brock for a long time, TH-cam decided that I might like to learn how to trim cows hooves. Me, I thought sure I‘ll give it a shot. The opening of the video showing drone footage of the beautiful green countryside and the music just lovely then I got hooked. I’m Canadian, Atlantic Canada 🇨🇦 and well I’m descended from a long line of fishermen. I think back to when I was a little girl watching my uncles and my Grandfather, if only I had access to recording them about their life, it was a tough life fishing for a living … and back in the day lobster, crab was poor man’s food in Atlantic Canada. I know. Not like that now. I dug a nice few clams as a kid , build a fire on the beach , boil water in a big pot and steam your clams, dip them in some melted butter. Wonder if kids do that now. There are 3 Atlantic provinces that are also heavily into agriculture many dairy farms, a few sheep farms and of course farms that grow your fruits and veggies. Some have strawberry fields, apple orchards, The videos that could have been made. I took a nice few photos back in the day. I was a nurse and worked alongside a good many colleagues who grew up on farms. I am really happy I clicked yes to watch all of you. 😊

    Really enjoyed this episode Cammy, Graeme is a top bloke, I love his videos and I don’t even know why cos I’m not a farmer or even an outdoors person, I just love animals and the care he takes for every beast he cares for just warms my heart. I don’t even know how I found his channel, he popped up in my feed one day, probs because I watch Tom Pemberton as he’s local to me and I go to his farm shop.

    Absolutely engrossing. Great dynamics between you all. Loved Iona’s expression and speechlessness when Graeme shared his story. Hooked on both The Sheep Game and Hoof GP. The accents, education, scenery, and so much more. Thank you

    What a great interview this was. Watching from Texas, been watching Graeme for a bit (because my son does) just happened on this interview, so glad I did. The honesty between y’all was so refreshing, not many people are so quick to be honest regarding their bank accounts and annual revenue. I love that he hasn’t up charged his clients, shows character. I could’ve listened to a few more hours of this. Quick note you didn’t finish naming his cars, Lol. Showing some love from Texas to all y’all. 💜💜💜
