the way clarkson looks at kaleb when he say its my dream to buy my own farm.......he already know where that farm is going when he passes away or hands it down brilliant...its kind of father an son moment
The reason why Clarkson's farm was a sucess is quite simple. People like me grew up with Jeremy, Richard and James. We loved them in Top Gear and still love them is the Grand Tour. They have become part of the family. So, if Jeremy did a program on knitting I would watch it because I would know he would make it interesting and funny. That's why we watch all three of them in their individual shows. They are great journalists. it has been proved time and time again. Just watch some of the mini documentaries that they did on both TG and TGT, all brilliant. Long may they reign.
that is not quite true, a 1000 acre farm, hundreds of thousands worth of gear and loads of things to do is a strong start, as is the smallest cog idea. They cant just do whatever they want and get millions of viewers, knitting would be the end of jeremy on TV
@@david111davies not true, thousands of us will watch and listen to anything Clarkson does, it's him not what he does, and his honesty and nit being woke garbage

As farmers ourselves, we throughly enjoyed the humorous side to a seriously stressful vocation. My husband started off enjoying ridiculing the many faux pas Jeremy made but then ending up really relating and invested in the journey Jeremy found himself on. The red tape with Defra.. totally relatable. The councils wanting us to diversify then putting obstacles in the way to anything that isn’t farming. It’s been wonderful for all of us in farmings communities to have our daily farm struggles understood. So often people think we are pompous land owners, now people understand Wonderful interview. Thank you Ben and Georgie for this
Ive got so much more respect for our farmers now, I live in rural Somerset and you hear people say ''thats Farmers, always pleading poverty'' and ''miserable old b's'' etc. But I love this programme, so much, and it answers so many questions. Already knew the supermarkets treat you badly, but didnt know the councils did too.
Well, I'm sorry to say that things like Defra nonsense probably isnt going away, and I think its going to push farming into the hands of a couple of mega corps with the giant teams of lawyers and accountants that can deal with all the red tape, and 30 years from now people will be going "what happened to all the small farmers" with absolutely no idea how it happened.
Just watched series 2,. The best thing on TV from any source. Mr Clarkson tells it like it is. Great story line, superb camera work , top flight editing. A shot in the arm for British farming and a damning condemnation of archaic planning laws and the ultimate exposure of country snobs , fearful of their misplaced perception of invasion by us townies.
This series showed that there is no objection to the farm but it's personal against Jeremy and what he has stood for in the past. They don't care how many farms his resturant would have helped, they just don't want Jeremy's name in it.
Its so great to see someone finally adress the struggles of farming! I have a bachelors degree in sustainable agriculture and i am a farmer. I find it incomprehensible how little people understand about farming and continue to scream that we need to stop making food...... So glad jeremy talks about this
Yes, but also farm economics mean that as long as we have hobby farmers the industry is going to be brutally unprofitable. Great show, although we should worry about incentivizing so many ppl to consider farming ….
@@Yo-ItsYo if it's sustainable and everywhere, if we put more effort in to all types of food production using smart ideas and not short cuts. it can be cheaper. it's all we really need to be here. I refuse to believe it's too hard to do this together. We seem to put up making it very hard on our own.
Kaleb has got to be the most charismatic farmer that Jeremy could have possibly found. Most people don't appreciate how hard it is to be interesting, entertaining, and confident on screen, or behind a microphone. What a Combo; best presenter of our age with a plucky young rural farm boy. Brilliant. Love the show. Long live the gorilla.
Kaleb is so immediate & in the moment. Take a lad like this put him in any situation the British army say and he can do anything you set him to. His type is the core of any culture!
This show has changed the way people look at farming, and how they buy produce. I’ve switched from buying normal milk to grass fed milk from small family farms because it supports the industry more directly and I know the cows are hanging out outside and enjoying themselves, eating grass like they should.
Its really pleasing to see how much respect Jeromy has for Kaleb, the way he stops and lets Kaleb speak and does not talk over him in the manner we are used to seeing on TV. Kaleb will go far with his attitude and such a nice down to earth guy.
Since I wrote this I have watched series 1 and 2 and see that Kaleb is a successful contractor in his own right. Nice to see his success and recognition he got.
I am a farmer...an older model from New Zealand. A big thankyou to Jeremy Kaleb and crew. I have really enjoyed the series. A lot of memories brought back. Especially with the pigs. Piglets are such a joy. There is always a laugh to be had with piglets on the farm. We too are doing it tough at the moment. It is difficult to earn a living. Costs and taxes have got extreme. The government here has not subsidised farming since the early 80s. Its sink or swim. Which is fine, food production should not have to be subsidised. But this does mean more expensive food bills for everybody or we go bust. I dont know what the answer is, but this programme is opening peoples eyes.
The hour just flew by. Love it when it's less like an interview and more like a fly on the wall listening to mates telling each other stories of their life! Podcasting with guests in the same room just hits differently as well.
I'm a kiwi. Worked on farms. Grew up on a farm. When Jeremy says he doesn't know why NZ lamb is cheaper it makes me laugh, he does know. But govt has gone crazy here and we are destroying lots of farms to grow pine trees. So you better get used to piece of log instead of leg of lamb.
@@bennichols1113 Lived in NZ 31 years now after 33 years in UK. NZ Lamb is cheaper in UK. NZers are being ripped off. By the way NZ onions are cheaper in UK than here. How the hell can that be?
Love it. Clarkson’s facial expression of utter bemusement when Gerald speaks is hilarious. And the way Gerald seems totally oblivious to not being understood just cracks me up. It’s a brilliant running gag in the show.
I've never heard Clarkson say anything that I consider inappropriate. He hurts the feelings of people who sorely need their feelings hurt. If you chose to be weird, you shouldn't be surprised if people point and laugh. (Let's face it, the attention is what you are after anyway.) Go Clarkson.
I loved the first season of the farm show. The first time Kaleb stood up to Jeremy was the best thing ever, it was so funny because he really meant what he was saying. Farming is very hard work and we all should continue to thank the farmers.
This is the interview I’ve been looking for. Thank you for this. I’m glad Jeremy has brought attention to the difficulties of farming in an unintentional way.

The best TV show in the 21st century, Kaleb is a superstar. When I ask people if they've watched it, lots of people say no. They don't have a clue what they are missing, I have to confess, I just watched it out of curiosity and was totally hooked. Some people don't understand the work ethic. I do as I spent 18 years as a self-employed contractor and 12-hour days were the norm, 7 days a week.
Inspiring and wholesome. Once read an interview with JC about employing young people, not the ones with the highest qualifications but those who knew how to do the job-think he has found the perfect match in Kaleb, a charming, hardworking young man.
Caleb is a wonderfully sharp indictment on the state of education in our world today. Schools urgently needs a lot of modernisation in order to nurture rather than quash such talent
I sincerely hope Jeremy uses his media presence to push the issues of farming more! Joe public (like myself) have absolutely no idea the issues our hard working farmers are facing these days. We rely on them so much and I genuinely worry that people take the farming industry for granted.
I’m not a farmer but live in Lincolnshire where it’s mostly arable farmland and when I look out of my windows watching the harvest etc I understand so much more now after watching these two, best programme ever 👌
The empathy between these two men is what makes this work. I don't really need Amazon Prime but if these two continue broadcasting I will certainly look into it.
That bit about telling the children about what happened to their pets made me smile. When I was a kid I seemed to have a talent for finding injured birds or baby birds that had fallen out of the nest. I would bring them home and my Dad and I would take care of them. Often I would wake up one morning and Dad would say "Oh, I got up this morning and the baby bird was all better and I let him fly away!". I am ashamed to admit that it wasn't until I was in my thirties that one day, it hit me like a brick that in fact the baby birds had died but Dad couldn't tell me! I am really not sure why I didn't cotton on way before that because I was a pretty savvy kid. Then again, my Dad was very good at story telling ❤
I think the show has done the same thing for Australia, raised awareness of the difficulties of farm life as we have a lot of similar problems, including unfortunately the suicide rate amongst farmers. So this pair whether you love or hate Clarkson are doing a good thing. And Kaleb is just brilliant. Keep going guys.
I could watch a ten hour long interview of Jeremy, he's just so fun to listen to. Such a well travelled, knowledgeable, worldly guy who is totally down to earth and just comes across as a regular joe you'd sit down for a drink with and talk about sports and the weather with. He doesn't carry themselves as someone who would even have a fraction of their fame and money.
Amazon had better not cancel this show, absolutely love their chemistry and squabbling and Charlie's realistic lectures and warnings he gives to Jeremy lol
Jeremy loves everything he did and does, and his motto is probably Enjoy what your are doing. He can see a bit of himself in Kaleb, a young passionate fella enjoying everything he’s doing. That’s why he gives Kaleb advices to help him with his career.
This non- petrol head watched it purely coz I found Jeremy as a funny bloke on Top Gear. I watched it with my daughter and we binged the entire series. Jeremy was still hilarious. That’s all I wanted. Wholely satisfying given how much he bagged climate change in the past, but can see who it affects farming. Anything that brings attention to farmers makes me happy, coz I was raised on one. But my dad saw the writing on the wall back in the mid 70s and we sold up and left. I miss the farm more than I care to admit, because it IS in our DNA. We NEED the land and we need to grow our own food and if we live in cities we NEED farmers to be paid a decent price so they can keep feeding us all. I love Jeremy Clarkson for what he has done for farmers. Even more than I loved all 3 of the To Gear guys together - and that is a considerable amount indeed !!!
I hope these 2 continue all the way into season 10 of Clarkson's Farm. The chemistry they have are gold. I never have watched any reality TV until this show. But this one is fascinating, entertaining and just amazing to watch. We saw a completely different side of Jezza and a completely new understanding and appreciation of the gruelling job farming is. Caleb is a gem.
Kaleb is at least 40 years old, in a 24 year old body. I think the show is a success because Kaleb and Jeremy just work so well as a team, both are very intelligent comedians.
My father recently passed away and just binged the whole first season yesterday. My dad grew up on a farm and never really told me what it was like or how it was done and Clarkson Farm helped me connect with my Dad's upbringing.
@Den of Lore I thought almost the exact same thing. My Dad wasn't a farmer but he worked at John Deere managing the Sales Department for 40 years and he knew more about farming and equipment than just about anyone. He knew all the farmers for hundreds of miles around. He died a few years ago. I can't get enough of this show, even if the tractors aren't green.
Living in Belgium I had never seen the series What a eye opener It’s a great idea to let people find out the truth about farming I can remember pushing the corn sacks down the shuit into the field Chasing the combine Sugar beet harvesting And the number one is straw carting
I agree with Kaleb. Why go out into the world if you have everything you need, and really dont feel the urge? I can really relate to that. Travelling is really stressful
In the last 15 or so years travel has become less pleasant, less enjoyable. Its no fun being treated like cattle by the airlines who make it so obvious they only want your money, you are an inconvenience to them as a person
Farmers can think what ever they thinking about Jeremy and Kaleb, but those two is very important for the farming future and they put light on problems what´s need to be solved, in a very funny way but we all understand its serious and we who are not farmers need to help them by affecting politicians. This show is good for not only for farmers in UK, but in general all of Europe.
Jeremy had such a great love/hate relationship with Hammond & May, that's why TG was so huge. Now he's got that relationship with Kaleb. A lot of the interview they were talking to each other rather than the camera. Makes it all more genuine, Kaleb doesn't want to be a TV star, just wants to get enough money to buy his own farm :-)
I worked on my brother in laws farm every summer holiday from being 8yrs old until i left school most people dont realise how hard it is, farmers dont get days off, my brother in law's farm was a dairy farm so twice a day milking the cows along with everything else there is to do its non stop full on 7 days a week, and with little compensation for the work they do, so good to see Jeremy and Kaleb showing the difficulties farmers face, its never changed in the 50 + years i can remember farmers being screwed by the supermarkets. Great conversation hope we get series 3.
I’ve lived and grown up in the north of England all my life, around farms and countryside, and always didnt know what the lines in the field were for , only when I watch this first series did I actually realise what they were for and I’m in my 40’s . I always had massive respect for our farmers , they always have been an unrecognised part of the engine room of our culture and economy. I grew up with the opinion that ‘there are no poor farmers’ that is bullshit really. I kind of knew that already as I got older, but this programme really shows it and I can’t wait for the next series. Jeremy is a character so a lot of people,e think he’s a cock, I know where they are coming from but I think he’s great. Kaleb and the rest of the team on this programme are really good people to me and it’s important that the last and new series is watched and absorbed over and above the shite that GMB and the news infect us with every day.
I’ve not heard anyone say anything negative about these two or Clarksons Farm which in this day and age is paramount to how brilliant it is. It just can’t be faulted. It’s been a breath of fresh air in the reality world of tv. Thanks
All I can say is that we have an hour and a quarter of Clarkson and Kaleb chatting and its wonderfully entertaining and informative ... and that shock news about the bird-flu was a real slap in the face!
What an amazing conversation! You guys as hosts are very very good, so relaxed, and Jeremy Clarkson all said and done is a crazy smart man and a really good man too, so thankful for this episode ✌
Thank you for taking the time to tape & share this with us. First time I've come across this channel. In our home we have enjoyed Jeremy for years but I believe I love Clarkson's Farm even more than all his other shows! I don't exactly understand why he thinks that their "cast" didn't have chemistry initially or that it had to be developed because we see great chemistry come across our screen. 🤷🏼♀️ Kaleb is an absolute doll, he was the big breakout star in season one but we love all those we get to see on the show especially of course Gerald, Charlie, Lisa & the vet.
That was an extremely pleasant, and enjoyable, way to spend an hour. I have no doubt that Kaleb will buy his farm and that he will become more successful. I wish him, and Jeremy, all the very best.
This series is so eye-opening to the disparity between EU/general Western European farming and farming in the US. As Kaleb said, "most farmers I know work 3 to 4 jobs in addition to farming just to get by" where as in the US not only do farmers make large profits but they are able to hire multiple employees to aid in farming pursuits. I would be very interested to see this series do a visit to their American counterparts next season to see how life changes from country to country. Or do Vietnam or some other drastically different country.
Jim Smith, the farmer comedian from Perthshire, is good at promoting good mental health for farmers. He's a real unsung hero in the rural community. Great conversation!

Great interview! I have a huge respect for farmers in this country. They are faced with adversity on all sides and my interest stemmed from the milk scandal which cost more to produce than they were allowed to sell it for. It made no sense back then but then I heard about Jeremy's farming antics and its just the perfect platform to illustrate how tough it is for farmers. Despite his own reasons, he and the team have brought the reality to the masses so that people get a better informed opinion of what they have to put up with. Do not let farming die out in this country.... It is vital we support our local farmers.
Clarkson’s Farm has been the most entertaining and informative program on TV. I’m sure most people had no idea just how hard and essential farming is before this was aired. the way clarkson looks at kaleb when he say its my dream to buy my own farm.......he already know where that farm is going when he passes away or hands it down brilliant...its kind of father an son moment
It's one word - honesty. Which we don't normally see on TV shows.
that is not quite true, a 1000 acre farm, hundreds of thousands worth of gear and loads of things to do is a strong start, as is the smallest cog idea. They cant just do whatever they want and get millions of viewers, knitting would be the end of jeremy on TV
@@david111davies Idk man, the video where James and Richard building Lego cars and playing chess while getting hammered got a lot of views :v
@@david111davies not true, thousands of us will watch and listen to anything Clarkson does, it's him not what he does, and his honesty and nit being woke garbage
@@david111davies disagree... he is possibly about the only person who could make something of it!! He is a talented and intelligent individual, his forthrightness is wonderful in a world otherwise filled with BS. AND, he is BRITISH! All hail Clarkson!
Hoping Kaleb realizes how rich and powerful his mentality is. He has everything he needs to be happy where he is, and many of us living in large cities would love to have a life like his.
A simple fulfilling life is something to envy
Love love Clarkson farm . certainly feel the program has highlighted the struggles of farming and what a struggle farmers have thanks to the government with no help 😢😢
Shows how content one can be with the basics. Happiness is a state of mind. Majority of people are trying to fill what they perceive as voids… materialism is a killer.
So often people think we are pompous land owners, now people understand
Wonderful interview.
Never a true word 👍
Only thing I don't like, It'll be another year to series 3.
This series showed that there is no objection to the farm but it's personal against Jeremy and what he has stood for in the past. They don't care how many farms his resturant would have helped, they just don't want Jeremy's name in it.
Clarkson and Kaleb are a breath of fresh air. Great series.
Its so great to see someone finally adress the struggles of farming! I have a bachelors degree in sustainable agriculture and i am a farmer. I find it incomprehensible how little people understand about farming and continue to scream that we need to stop making food...... So glad jeremy talks about this
Keep up the good work 💪
@@atticushexcel9567 you do know the people who control the climate narrative are the same people making life impossible for the farmers
Yes, but also farm economics mean that as long as we have hobby farmers the industry is going to be brutally unprofitable. Great show, although we should worry about incentivizing so many ppl to consider farming ….
@@lawjef that is unfortunate but it is great for the people. Cheap food is not a bad thing for 93% of the population.
Ape or raging baboon
Agree!
Since I wrote this I have watched series 1 and 2 and see that Kaleb is a successful contractor in his own right. Nice to see his success and recognition he got.
😊
Anything with Jeremy Clarkson is great, because regardless of the situation. He is always honest! Plus he doesn't care.
He is definitely honest, but he does care a great deal it seems.
I love the relationship between Jeremy and Kaleb, Jeremy has great respect for Kaleb, he loves him like a son 💙
Can't wait for season 3.
Atleast there's somebody who sees and feels what I see and feel. What a great relationship these both have.
The hour just flew by. Love it when it's less like an interview and more like a fly on the wall listening to mates telling each other stories of their life! Podcasting with guests in the same room just hits differently as well.
A fatherly Clarkson, nice to see him in this role and stage of life.
We need more Kalebs on tv. Proper down to earth hard working chap
My wife and I simply love the series, I wish all the best to Kaleb and Jeremy whatever they get up to. Keep it up.
As a farmer I think Jeremy has hit the nail on the head when he says we need to get rid of Defra.
...and all Gov depts etc
Guinness is cheaper (50%) in Spain than Ireland.Irish butter is cheaper in Germany than Ireland None of it makes sense
Kaleb is just a genuine nice Guy - He has the most amazing connection with Jezza , and Jezza loves him like a son
Probably THE best thing I've watched in a whole year! Clarkson being normal and Kaleb being Kaleb. What a great interview.
Every single time they interact with Gerald leaves me laughing out loud. Never gets old.👍🏻🤣
Reminds me of Mr Webbley in Hot Fuzz th-cam.com/video/Cun-LZvOTdw/w-d-xo.html
Love it. Clarkson’s facial expression of utter bemusement when Gerald speaks is hilarious. And the way Gerald seems totally oblivious to not being understood just cracks me up. It’s a brilliant running gag in the show.
The best scene was when Gerald was with his wife talking to Jeremy, and from the facial expressions, the wife understood Gerald as well as Jeremy 😂
Spot on
Pretty shit take mate. All you’re doing is trying to justify bullying. Many people don’t “choose” to be weird. Give your head a wobble.
It’s refreshing to hear an actual free person who is happy with what he has 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I loved the first season of the farm show. The first time Kaleb stood up to Jeremy was the best thing ever, it was so funny because he really meant what he was saying. Farming is very hard work and we all should continue to thank the farmers.
Absolutely love the dynamic between Jeremy and Kaleb. The world needed the show when it was released and I love that it highlights the issues it does.
This is the interview I’ve been looking for. Thank you for this. I’m glad Jeremy has brought attention to the difficulties of farming in an unintentional way.
i have a feeling it was intentional, he’s definitely a smart man.
@@mypradasatthecleaners It was intentional. If you watched "Grand tour, Lochdown" when they got the text from Wilman, they showed you clearly what a scam Convid was
I've never heard Jeremy talk so much sense and Kaleb is wise beyond his years.
Jeremy is really a national treasure and should be honoured,he and Caleb obviously like each other and i think Jeremy envies Caleb for his simple outlook on life, and they learn alot from each other.Brilliant
I am very impressed that Kaleb can just cut into conversations and Jeremy just let him talk like a father enjoying his child’s opinions and thoughts.
What a brilliant pair Kaleb and Clarkson are, great pod cast
That is why the show was such a success
I love Kaleb. He just makes me smile with his honesty and down to earth attitude.
I had a similar upbringing and glad of it!💛
I think the show has done the same thing for Australia, raised awareness of the difficulties of farm life as we have a lot of similar problems, including unfortunately the suicide rate amongst farmers.
Jeremy Clarkson is actually kind. He's imperfect like the rest of us but there's a genuine kindness in him which isn't so common.
They won’t because Clarkson is already fired at Amazon a while ago

Kaleb is at least 40 years old, in a 24 year old body.
I think the show is a success because Kaleb and Jeremy just work so well as a team, both are very intelligent comedians.
Kaleb is a great roll model for any kid. The relationship between them is amazing. It’s clear they will be friends forever.
Behind all that bluster Clarkson there is a bloke that has teamed up with a 24 year old farmer and it is great to see a bond. 👍
I can't get enough of this show, even if the tractors aren't green.
the interaction between Kaleb and Jeremy is so natural, relaxed....just awesome...
When Caleb said “how hard can it be?” Jeremy gives him a little look 😂
Grand tour taking Kaleb on one of their adventures would be epic, lol
Living in Belgium I had never seen the series
What a eye opener
It’s a great idea to let people find out the truth about farming I can remember pushing the corn sacks down the shuit into the field
Chasing the combine
Sugar beet harvesting
And the number one is straw carting
Just watched all of Clarksons Farm from star to present, I am a huge Clarkson fan but Kaleb what an outstanding young man, good work!!
“It was like chewing cardboard, it was vile”, Kaleb’s totally honest viewpoint on “corn gammon”! So true…..
Very enlightening. This programme should be shown on mainstream television.
if they funded it it would be surely?
My guy, I understand what you mean, but mainstream tv is dead as fuck compared to streaming
What a contribution to farming Jeremy and Kaleb are, very well done to both of you. I cannot wait until season 2 airs!
Kaleb is such a grounded and real ! Complete in the world. Words fail to describe this really great young person 👍
Clarksons Farm was (or better is) the single most entertaining tv-show I have ever seen.
Thanks
Very well done guys, love the fact Kaleb and Jeremy were allowed to talk. That's a real issue with most interviews.
This was one of the most wholesome series I’ve seen on TV, it has genuinely made me happy.
Farm lads are usually genuine characters without pretentiousness.
Just finished season 2. Great! Absolutely a good cast. Sure need more episodes but hopefully prime won’t dump you and begin season 3.
All I can say is that we have an hour and a quarter of Clarkson and Kaleb chatting and its wonderfully entertaining and informative ... and that shock news about the bird-flu was a real slap in the face!
I'm looking forward to seeing Kaleb go sailing with Ben. Kaleb is such an inspiration to his generation.
They are a great double act. Looking forward to many more series.
Wow, an hour flew by. Clarkson and Cooper are really entertaining to listen to.
Kaleb. I agree with you 100%. I do not need a passport. quite happy in England Thanks. half of folks have not seen places like Castle coombe. or any where else Squats. I am 85 love it here. especially the month of May. God bless all country workers. Off Fishing now .
Kaleb is a good example of someone contented with their lot. More should be like this
Bravo Jeremy & Kaleb! You two are fantastic! Just watched season 2 and hope many more seasons come along. Keep fighting for our farmers!!
IF Clarkson wants to do more seasons then it won't be on Amazon anymore as they cancelled him because of his Meghan Markle column he wrote.
Clarkson’s Farm has been the most entertaining and informative program on TV. I’m sure most people had no idea just how hard and essential farming is before this was aired. Kaleb is a real star and a great foil for Jeremy (Or is it the other way round?) anyway, I hope there’s at least a third series planned?
Absolutely brilliant television. I've lived near to the farm this year and it's been really interesting watching them do this. I have friends who farm and love the guy, for what he's done for the industry. An excellent podcast
I just want to one day shake Kaleb's hand, give him a hug, and say "never change!"
Just a good honest soul.
Jezza hits the nail every time he says that the government, from the local council upwards, is the stick in the farmers' spokes. As if running a farm weren't hard enough. Great chat, guys!
Yup. And although I dislike all politics , we're going into an election that will result in a much much less farmer friendly government. But we'll see.
I'm in ireland watching this and I have to say these guys are great .Their showing the terrace heads what farming life is really like when I hear townies talking that all farmers are rich my blood boils.well done great show.
