I recommend just a heavier fork specific weight oil not engine oil. Transmission fluid is a better substitute than engine oil as it's practically just hydraulic fluid
the fluid you took out was suspension fluid. Suspension oil is meant to be thin like that, have oil with too high a viscosity your risking bending shims and getting rebound needles stuck.
Hey man I have the same thumpstar and I have the same SE bars but my riser and clamp is to large of a diameter so I was wondering what you had to get to make them work
JUST JOE MANILA the mikuni that comes on it is pretty decent. I did pull the carb off mine and noticed it had the jets for the 125 in it so I swapped them for the correct jets according to the Manuel and it runs great.
Hey dude ik this video is old asf, but i jave the same bike and my carb shit the bed. I am looking at the mikuni carb that u mentioned. What else did you have to buy in order to run that carb. If u can reach out and let me know it would be super super appreciated
definitely a good carby and getting it tuned good. a mixture screw you can turn with your hands is also a good investment as then you can play with that without removing the carby, Also a quarter turn throttle is good once its tuned as it makes the bike responsive af.

Hi can anyone help me out with spoke tool size for these bikes? I need to tighten my spike nipples but I don’t know which size to buy.
What is the price of that thumpstar mx85 motorcycle? tell me please
You don't have to take the forks off. I don't know about that bike but some you don't. It's a bolt on the bottom of the fork.
Can you put larger cr50 bars without having to get new cables, clutch, brake etc ??
yea should work no probs
what age is the thumpster recommended for
depends more on your height because they are pretty easy to ride so age don’t really matter
if your at least 3 your good
ah finally a fellow aussie
Yea mate
Great vid I just subbed 🤟🏽
10w40 I’m the forks? Is that not engine oil and not fork oil?
Yea it’s engine oil but it works so she’ll be right
You’re a braver man than me putting that in your forks haha
Same my bars bent in the fist day
Is this the tsx or the R version bro
tsx
Maybe you should of looked and got a heavier weight oil made for forks????
That’s why the oil looked so different
It’s made in Australia
I thought that was a dog then I realized it's not America
Mine is a trail bike so it doesn't bottom out as easy
thumpstars Australian not Chinese
yea somewhat. still use mostly Chinese components but there is a lot of designing done in aus that makes them better than other Chinese bikes
Except they're still shipped in crates from overseas. I'm waiting for another one which has just hit the wharf. It's NOT made in Australia at all.
They are actually an Australian company and the bikes are made in Taiwan.
U cased a jump so bad and now the gears are fucked on it the bike won’t go to neutral any more and it dont work 😂
Taper bar is 99 dollars
It’s actually a Australian bike
🇦🇺
