+Coyote Works - I know this is an older video. Just wanted to say that I have this pistol in FDE and it has been fantastic. Not a single hiccup whatsoever. I had the hammer spring replaced by TR Tactical Solutions and that double action is really smooth now. TR Tactical also installed custom sights on it which are fantastic. The people on this comment section that state that there are cheaper pistols out there which do the same thing have obviously never owned or handled a Sphinx. I own $1,400 Sigs and it doesn't compare to the Sphinx in the quality and tightness of fit. I also own a CZ P07. I am more accurate with the Sphinx, however am I $750 more accurate? No, but, the shooting experience for ME is better. It feels like an expensive gun and it is smoother. You want a Rolex or a Timex? Both will tell you the time - wearing each is a different experience. This is an amazing gun.
+Armed Rogue Check them out. I think you will appreciate them. Definitly in the upper end handgun range. Rally stoked I'm lucky enough to to have one ;-)
+jephro sencil Great tip. Thank you. I'll get one of those mec gar CZ mags and give it a try. That would be a big help to be able to use those instead of the $54 Sphinx mags.
Very cool... Looks like a sold pistol!!! Interesting you are stepping into some high dollar, well high dollar for some, and high quality shooter off brands... Seems you could get the same quality out of a Sig or colt and have more availability of parts and accessories? Interesting... Seems like a Great pistol
+Central Oregon Survival Network I feel like it's even a bit of a step up from a Sig. And really I don't know what accessories I would need for it. It has a rail so any of the tactical lights will fit it. It's a pretty solid gun. I still am looking for a Glock 19 though as well. I just got rid of my last .40 cal. I'm going all 9mm for my handguns. You'll be impressed. I think you will appreciate the design and the workmanship in it for sure. Cheers my friend. See you soon!
+Coyote Works I would still keep a .40 around. I thought hard and think perhaps the thoughts of having standardized caliber in your personal inventory to minimize the need to buy different cartridges is actually a bad thing. Rather have all kinds of firearms, maybe we will see certain calibers hard to get. That being said I have pretty much stuck with Glock 19 and got repair kits as well, and even the books to fix a Glock and tools. Cannot have too many Glocks. Using the Blue Label Program is amazing as well. ; I don't mind the drive to Keith's as they are rarely available in Bend (the Blue Label models). And now with 15 dollar Magpul G-19 magazines it almost insanity to get a Sig or off brand pistol. Even though I am a huge Sig Fan!!
+Movon Labe Good point. BTW I am taking the Glock Armorors course in August so I should be pretty up to speed on how to fix/repair/replace anything that will go wrong with one after that as well. So if you have the guns and the parts, I should be able to keep them in good repair.
Great Video! I just shot this gun a couple weeks ago, and in the first 15 rounds, I shot it better than any of my other guns. Just a solid piece of machinery. Easy and fun to shoot!
+Rimrock Outdoors I hear you on the holster issue. Holsters are a great example of something that is really difficult to order over the Internet. Small differences in holster design can make a BIG difference in comfort. Seems like it usually takes me 3 or 4 holsters for each new handgun I buy to find one that works well for me with that particular pistol. How do you feel about getting into making things out of Kydex? I have a couple items that I think will do really well on the market. I just need to find a partner that can make stuff out of Kydex. Cheers Casey
+Central Oregon Desert Explorers Top notch for sure. It shoots incredibly smooth for me. It's a bit bigger than I would like for a daily carry piece but I've got a couple different holsters ordered and I'm going to use it for that. Casey
Glad I watched this. I have heard about the pistol and was considering it for a possible replacement for my conceal carry. As you point out the "compact" ain't so compact. As i can see it would be too large for me for that. Sounds like it's top quality. Let us know what you think of it as you use it over time plz.
+Beeper Man Yeah this one is definitely a bit bigger than ideal for a daily carry gun. But they also make a subcompact model that I would love to get my hands on. I'd like to get to put one in my hands before I committed but it looks like it might be a really nice EDC piece. I'll keep you posted as I use this one more. It will be my constant desert companion for the summer so it will get exposed to less than ideal conditions. I'm curious if the tight tolerances will translate into issues with dust and sand. Cheers my friend. Casey
$850-$1200, depending on who you know. The 2000 & 3000 were $3000+. I prefer the Aplha, because I travel in Colorado, and would have to block my magazines, however I do NOT need to pin or glue the blocks in like in California. I would just stop selling guns to California, starting with their police departments. :-D
+Luke DAWG No night sights. But overall it’s an awesome handgun. I”m not sure what’s available for aftermarket night sights for it. At some point I’ll look into it.
I have a 17rd Alpine White one with a threaded barrel, and a standard 15rd Alpha.... On the Mags, you can do a cz 75 mec gar 17rd mag that sells for around $20.. you just need to make sure the mags in the back do not touch the extractor.. I actually use the Alpha as my Conceal and carry. Ill be in Bend this weekend if you want to do a silencer video on one Coyote.
+Sean Cloudview Hi Sean. That would be awesome if you are up for it. I can carve out some time. I'd really like to see that 15 round Alpha model as well to get an idea of how much shorter the grip is. I'm pretty open during earlier part of the day on Saturday and most all day Sunday. Shoot me an email at jointlockbjj@gmail.com or message me on Facebook Messanger and we can exchange phone numbers.
+Sean Cloudview By the way I ordered a 17 round CZ 75 Mec Gar mag and it doesn't fit in my Sphinx. Well, it slides about half way in before it gets tight. It seems like the Mec Gar mag is just slightly too big from front to back.
+Echo Trigger Let me know when you do. I'm really interested in seeing what you found out. I got together with Sean Cloudview and we've now tried the Mec gars in 3 different Sphinx pistols and found some interesting things out. Cheers Casey
+eqlzr2 It's new enough that I haven't heard much about that. As I write this message I have a little over 500 rounds through it without cleaning though and no problems yet. I think it will be fine. I was a little worried at first that with how tight all the tolerances are in it that dirt and sand would be a problem. But so far so good. I'm planning on posting up an overview video on it after I have 1000 rounds through it without cleaning it. Cheers! Casey
I would say it’s probably on the larger size of what most people would want to CCW. The duty model that I have has a bit longer grip than the standard model which makes mine a bit harder to conceal. The standard model would work great and is about the same size as a Glock 19.
Don't be fooled. I bought this gun and it sucks. Just jams all the time. Kriss customer service has sucked. Do yourself a favor and get a CZ P07, much better gun for half the price.
+Craig House Sorry to hear you've had bad luck with yours. I've got over 2,000 rounds through mine and I have yet to have a problem. It' runs smooth as silk with every kind of ammo I've used with it. It would be my primary carry gun except that it's just a bit bigger and heavier than I can really comfortably carry & conceal. I've found myself carrying my Sig 229 Legion a lot more. But I still love shooting that Sphinx! Having said all that, I've heard the P07s are rock solid awesome guns as well. Cheers!
Craig House Mine runs like a dream. One firearm doesn't mean they all suck. Trust me somewhere out there is someone who purchased any brand firearm and got a lemon. Sorry it happened to u but doesn't mean all are the same. I would pick this over any I own.

Now this looks like a really nice pistol. I have not heard of Sphinx Arms but I will definitely be checking them out.
+Armed Rogue Check them out. I think you will appreciate them. Definitly in the upper end handgun range. Rally stoked I'm lucky enough to to have one ;-)
Thanks for the video brother, a big thumbs up from Canada, beautiful pistol!
Sphinx quality
awesome gun!
+Thomas cunningham So far I love it!
I found that the sphinx factory mag works flawlessly in my cz rami and mec-gar cz75's work with the sphinx
+jephro sencil Great tip. Thank you. I'll get one of those mec gar CZ mags and give it a try. That would be a big help to be able to use those instead of the $54 Sphinx mags.
👍 thanks again !
Great looking gun casey, certainly better than my air pistol, lol.
+MARCVS SPARTACVS Ha! Well if your air pistol is all you've got, make the best of it right! ;-)

Really nice looking pistol. I'm having some issues finding just the right holster for my Sig C3 as well. Enjoy Casey! Looks like a real shooter!

Thanks for the video! I just ordered a “Duty” and can’t wait for it to come in.
Awesome handgun my friend! I think you’ll really enjoy it! Cheers. And welcome to the elite ranks of Sphinx owners!
Lol I was raised in Prineville. I thought that looked like central Oregon.
Great vids! Keep it up!
+Landon Wills Ha! Yep. It's still a great place to live!
Cheers my friend. Good to hear from a native ;-)
Agreed! Cheers my friend!

Very nice did it come with night sights?

Forgot to message you, "Sean Cloudview's" new channel to avoid students watching is called Echo Trigger..
What kind of track record and reputation does this gun have under dirt, grit and grime conditions? Many thanks.

Great, appreciate the update on your experiences.
There's another video on youtube where they take a Sphinx, toss it in a puddle of mud, step on it, pull it all out slimy and fire the heck out of it.
Great, thanks.
+Sean Cloudview Yeah I've seen that one. That's actually one of the things I saw that finally convinced me to get one.
Hows the size for this for ccw?

Will Shephard I can't agree there. if your picking up a Hi-Point and you get a lemon then buyer beware, but on a gun that costs 1K? I think not.
Craig House I understand what you are saying but people have had poor experiences with Mercedes Benz doesn't mean it's a poor vehicle
Craig House but I do understand what u are saying. Sucks to spend top dollar and be the one of many to get the lemon
