@@MDpolo Hello MD, your firearm videos are mature, with in-depth comparison and neutrally expressed opinion; you actually own them, shot them and compare them side by side, which is a big bonus for other firearm fans to make their "good buy" decisions.

@@MDpolo It's quite pity, as I've heard and read some articles talking about Sphinx is out of business in Swiss; can't really confirm the details, but I really do hope Kriss USA continuing support Sphinx for their sales and distribution while keeping the manufacturing part in Swiss.

The Swiss side of the operation is out of business and no longer manufacturing in Switzerland. All the latest versions of the SDP Compact (Alpha) are assembled in the USA by KRISS. After KRISS purchased the Sphinx assets out of Swiss bankruptcy, the Alpha models were assembled in the USA using Swiss-made parts. My understanding is that KRISS brought to the USA the original machinery used to make the Sphinx SDP in Switzerland and continued to make SDPs in the USA. However I cannot personally confirm this because it is almost impossible to get any information out of KRISS. So with the Alpha model, you may get one that was assembled in the USA using Swiss parts or you may get a full USA model. The all-metal “duty” size Sphinx were produced exclusively in Switzerland. So if you want to make sure that you are buying an all-Swiss gun - get the 17 round duty size SDP.

Beautiful firearm. I looked at their web page and it seems they no longer make these. Kinda makes sense being this wonderful pistol didn’t catch on in the US.

To get one you need to call The Attic Imports in South Dakota.

Wondering if ZR Tactical would/could insert a tridium valve for a two dot setup like an i-dot type.

Mel Truent - that's a good question and I will ask ZR Tactical. Thanks for watching!

Mel Truent - I spoke to ZR Tactical. He cannot make night sights because he cannot get the viles. However, he said there is a company called Techsights that can put the night sights viles in anything. Cheers.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately Tech sights do not work with Tridium on any sights. Oh well, I'll have to keep searching. Thanks.
