Morning Travis. Very rewarding review. Are you considering using the picatiny from Accel. I'm using it just wondering if you are not going in that direction for any particular reason. Thanks Peter.👍
@@travisglassman i 100% agree. possibly the most advanced bow ever made, without any quirks. It isn’t like buying a Ferrari. I just don’t understand the consumers that spend all the money on the top of the line equipment and then try to save cost by working on a bow that they have no knowledge or business tampering with. I would argue that if you cannot operate on this bow then you can’t operate on anything, and should consult an archery shop
Hey Travis - I noticed that you have camo limbs on the bow. Is that a special order? if so, what was the wait time like? I asked Hoyt on Twitter, but no response... I am wanting buckskin with black limbs myself :)
That was a special order. I was lucky to get my hands one one before most. Each dealer may have different wait times. I’d recommend getting an order in to your dealer ASAP.
I'm running mine as it came from the factory and haven't had a lick of trouble. I was able to set my rest where I wanted it (Roughly 7/8" from riser) and fine tuned the bare shaft tune with my rest. It's a shooter! I can take a photo of my cam bushings if you need that.
@@kylemacdonell1450 I’m shooting Victory VAP TKO 300 spine arrows. I am a 31 inch draw length so they are almost full length arrows and I have never had any trouble getting mine to tune. I would not consider my arrows very stiff, considering my drawl length. Again, I have had very little trouble getting mine to tune right out of the box.
@@travisglassman Hey Travis.. about arrow tuning.. there can be MANY factors ? Eg - im assuming you are shooting 70lbs ? , what about point weight ? With my hunting set-up I run 250 grains upfront including insert , collar & broadhead by iron will. Could you possibly post up what the top cam looks like for bushings / spacing from limb ?? Thanks for keeping this going !
@@travisglassman Sorry for all the questions, I'm trying to figure out if I can shoot that bow with a 31.5 DL , i feel it necessary to have string to nose contact.
Awesome video on a bow that came out when my V3X 29 did. Both are great bows.
Right on!
Awesome video Travis! Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Great video, got to work on your draw cycle though so you don't trash your shoulder. 👍🏼
Thanks for the tip

Thanks Peter.👍
I haven’t tried it yet but I’m certainly open to it. Just haven’t gotten my hands on one yet. Thanks for the question.
Another great video!
🙏
Great video. Seem your bow set-up easily. I read on forums that people are unable to tune their bows. Have you seen any of this with your RX-7?
If you cant tune an rx-7 and can afford one you should pay a professional to tune it. I bought the bone collector edition rx-7 and it tuned perfectly
I can’t see any reason these 2022 Hoyt’s aren’t tunable. This has been the simplest bow I’ve ever tuned. Everything came together very quickly.

Great vid! What kind of target were you shooting into?
Thanks! That’s a dynafoam based target from archerytargets.com
I came here to ask the same question. Great video

Great video Travis! I am struggling setting up my Ultra. What is your cam bushing setup?

I have read some of them need VERY stiff arrows. Has that been your experience ? Did you get it sorted ?

Hey Nick, did you ever get this sorted ? please give us an update
What length of back bar stab are you using ? I don't think you touched on that.
Are you planning on adding a longer front stab ?
6” Fuse carbon torch for back stab. I won’t be adding a longer front stab. Everything balances very well as is.
Hey great review and bow.
I am curious though, what is your draw length VS bow set-up. Your nose seems a long way from the string. ??
31” draw length. I have a lower anchor point so my nose doesn’t normally contact my string. Thanks for the comment
@@travisglassman kisser button on corner of mouth?
@@Macmathews1 I don’t run a kisser. I have my anchor point plus peep and do very well with that. Thanks.
@@travisglassman Sorry for all the questions,
I'm trying to figure out if I can shoot that bow with a 31.5 DL , i feel it necessary to have string to nose contact.
I wish I would’ve waited I would’ve ended up getting this bow instead of the V3X 33
👍🏻
Do you feel that the stock strings are worth keeping on the bow?
Yes. I’ve never once had any complaints with the Hoyt strings.
