Thanks for the review. You review confirms my purchase of both versions, 30 and 33 in wilderness green. Love both and they are priced around $1099 to $1149 for the 30 and typically $150 to $200 more for the 33 in America. Keep up the good reviews.

I love my Ventum 33, absolutely fantastic to shoot, I am shooting my best scores ever with and it is great in the field.
I’m waiting to see what HOYT comes out with on the 8th for my next purchase., then I will decide what I want to buy.
I would love 2 more ventums, but like you said…there not in stock and they take for ever to come in, which is why I am looking hard at the elite bows as I know they are in stock.
On the 9th of December I will know which way I am going to go.

I shot a ventum 33 several months ago. I've shot a lot of bows, and have 3 Mathews at the moment(2 TRXs, and a traverse), but that Hoyt blew me away. TOTALLY different than hoyts I've shot in the past, and felt better than the V3 31, and prime nexus I was shooting along side it. Hoyt really stepped it up last year, hopefully they keep it up for this year.

Steven, keep in mind there are two different modules for that bow, one covers the shorter end of the range, and one covers the longer end. You can't get the whole range of draw lengths out of one module. Not sure what the numbers are exactly, but you may have the shorter of the two mods on that bow.

I once waited 6 months for a Hoyt that never was ordered. I was on the shooting staff and ordered my shooter's bow in November from the rep. So did my buddy who was also on staff. He got his bow in December. I am a lefty so I expect to wait longer. But every time the shop would call and ask about my order, they would give the usual updates/excuses. After 6 months and most of the 3D season already gone, I told my dealer to cancel the order. The dealer called the rep and the rep called the factory. The factory checked and said the have no record of the bow being ordered. A week later my bow showed up.

The HOYT target models have had rotating modules for a while, the SVX and spiral cams are performance cams, so they need special modules for each DL to get the most out of them. Although they could be replaced without a press anyways. The adjustable letoff on the module is absolutely somewhere the industry has to go, I expect the upcoming HOYT target models will introduce that feature as well.
The limbs on the current gen HOYT bows are absolutely awesome, I agree those had to be introduced.
The cable guard is really not an issue. It has to move because that's what it naturally wants to do, if you have a static guard, the wheels on the roller are loaded unequally. This causes extra wear. That's why I think the slide guard is better.
As for the twin cam system, I'd say it's personal preference. It's IMO the easiest to tune, although people will start yoke tuning like idiots.
For the price, it's really not that bad, it depends on where you live. Sure it's more expensive, but the quality IMO has always been slightly better than PSE or Elite etc. Not like that really makes a difference in shooting, but the quality is better. Their warranty furthermore is very good, when the string on my Invicta wasn't installed correctly, it slipped off dry firing the bow, the limbs were replaced no questions asked. Although the warranty on Prime bows is the best, they give a free new string set every year for 4 years.

Those comments from various industry sources saying technology improvements are incremental because of materials available are blowing out BS. There is no telling what they have designed in their vaults.

I do all my videos like this - sometimes the bow breaks and things go wrong. Otherwise it is a script. But I want it to be aimed at a beginner archer, the good and the bad. I clearly make mistakes and I never know how the review will turn out. Some manufacturers are not happy with them. But if you keep it real then people buying the bow or release will know things can go wrong.

That bow was ordered months ago about 6 months. I just got it out the box. But yes - reviews take time. To shoot and edit and post. So it limits how many you can do. When it is side line. Most of it I do for me. I learn about the product - see how it compares. If I like a product I will often switch to it after the review. Covoid and the shop move has seen us be super busy. Most stores in Australia have been closed for Covoid so we have been super busy.
But what I learned from this - Priced really well now very comparable. Doing these reviews helps me when customers ask about a product and how they compare. If I cant recall then can go back and look.
