It's insane how his voice still holds up this well
It's a miracle.
What voice ?
If only the rest of him held up
@@charliemoll5435 LOL I was just saying someone needs to tell him to give up the look it's over.
He can barely breath
I love seeing the audience at Cure shows. Such a wild age range. Young goth girls and their grandpas are all having an equally great time. Great example of how music brings people together.
⁰
Ohhh i love to see the old people enjoying the show, probably remembering their youth life while listening to The Cure... It's a nice moment i think... Time flies!
Couldn't agree more! I'm personally not a festival goer myself, I'd rather enjoy it from home but it's always nice to see younger and older people side by side enjoying music together as a coalition.
less of the fucking OLD bloody kids today all short hair and attitude
xxxx
I'm 42 yes I will loooooove to be there I live in Scotland so one day is one day😃😂😜 and thanks👵🏻👴🏼
And some day you too will be old sweetie ...
Maybe at a Justin Beiber or Wknd, or Taylor Swift Concert ,
dont smoke or drink whisky/vodka
Robert Smith is a legend, and his voice is timeless!
We needed The Cure in 2020, this was a year early.
Had never really listened to The Cure (this song was their only one I knew) until I got to see this show at Glastonbury while I was volunterring. I'm so glad I chose to see them. Even though I knew one song at the time, they absolutely blew my mind and have since become my favourite band of all time.
The Cure is a drug. They have a one song for every emotion in a life.
My friend used to hate them. Last year we saw them at Rock Werchter. Needless to say that now she's a huge fan just like me. Totally blown away by their performance.
Don't matter how u get there..just as long as u arrive.👍
Oh my sweet summer child
I never liked them and then I read an article about Smith and he seemed like such a great person that I started listening. I'm embarrassed that for do long I didn't like them because I didn't their music was real. But seeing them live changed all that. They rock! Amazing that they basically invented a whole genre of music.
His voice never changed after all those years. Love him!
Lol! You're having a laugh! You obviously weren't alive in the 80's!
Beautiful. Happy 65th Birthday Robert. His voice still sounds like He's 20. Just Like Heaven
He can sing the same song over and over but it’s a different experience each time. I adore this man...
In all seriousness, he pulls that look off even better than when he was just a kid, He’s perfected the tormented look over the years. He puts on a show much better than his earlier days. He’s got the magic and now would be the time to see him live.
It's good to see the crowd enjoyed the show without holding their phone to the air
I agree with you 💯 just enjoy it
European crowds vs US crowds basically
Seth Rogen loving life at 0:50
Its not him. Just look like him.
@@elibadash7021 No shit Sherlock.
Nah thats garret watts 😂
@@billyburrows6995 Ooops, i thought you were serious, Im sorry about that.
Thats Robert Smith's grandmother dumbass
The Cure never disappoints. I was an 80's metal guy but I would still listen to them. Don't listen to much of that genre anymore but I always turn up the radio for The Cure.
Then you were never a true metal fan - once that stuff gets into your blood, it's there for life and nothing else compares. You weren't an 80s metal guy - you were an 80s plastic metal guy.
Ur a fake then
@@charlesrenniemacki what's a plasic metal guy?, you mean a metalloid guy.
@@charlesrenniemacki "plastic metal guy" what a joke.
Wtf get a life dude
Every Friday driving to work I'll put this on to brighten my spirits for the weekend
They never age!
Brilliant
Very well said...❤️
Why has no one thought of employing The Cure on Covid 19?
Shit joke
@@chrishamer9263 A "dad joke" of the shittest order.
EMC worse than a dad joke
LOL 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
I don't know what I love more, all the high notes Robert throws in so brilliantly, or all the shots of fans getting the verses confused.
@Ian who do you listen to?
@Ian well, I think it's not for everyone.
His voice still sounds so youthful, love him.
When you grow up with bands, and they play and perform throughout your life...there's something about being a part of their prime, and then celebrating years later..
and watching and welcoming the younger generation
loved them when young now old but they make you feel young when you hear Robert
i totally agree man. I'm not aging as well as i hoped, but one thing i look back on with absolute happiness was listening to the cure in the 80s when i was a teenager. Those songs moved the world.
This song never fails to make me happy
Crazy, his voice sounds the same, Incredible. Great memories made and to make with the cures great songs
One of the few singers whose voice has not changed with age. Quite the professional as well. Great sound.
I agree but does he really sing many songs requiring much range in the first place?
@@danc3693 kinda speak sings don't he
@@zeusapollo8688 I agree he does on many songs. I really like his vocal style - it works beautifully with his lyrics..
@@danc3693 like all of them... if you just listen? are you listening to this song right now?
Its remarkable how well his voice has held up ....
its the smack, dope , and pills and booze take now and live until u die
We need some Cure right now!!!
Love seeing the older audiences having fun!
His voice sounds fantastic this is the best version I have ever heard !!!
This version is incredible.
They did have the full set up at one time. It was incredible!!! The Cure were given an award for it.
I’m thinking “damn the people in the audience are old” then I remember seeing The Cure for their “Kiss me” tour when I was in high school.
It's great to see Glastonbury show their love for The Cure. A great band that we love now for how awesome the were and are.
Friday I'm in love still sounds so amazing!
One of my favourite song ever!
Happy 2021 everybody, we all deserve a better year
Amazing how consistently great The Cure has sounded for over 4 decades! Wow!
Such a feel good classic!.. i can only imagine the vibe live
this kind of music is worth listening to
Robert is Amazing .............best concert you can ever attend
Killer song. Period! God Bless ya Robert. Saw you in 1981 at Macquarie Uni Bar in Sydney. Great gig!
Festivals with all ages and different types of people coming together are my favorite!
As a guitarist, i must say that guitar was perfectly tuned. the ending strums, i could hear every tone and they were spot on.
I just flashed back to my teenage years. Thank you BBC.
Robert Smith looking like my old dinner lady
What the hell does he think he looks like!
Crushenator500 more like my auntie Jean.
No one said he needs to keep the same hairstyle for 40 yrs. he should just comb it, for once.
Somehow it doesn't matter -- but the music does.
You shallow fool!! He’s a legend!! You wish.
This band is timeless, still love them...
Incredible. What an amazing concert to attend. Looking forward to 2023 Cure touring!!
What a band👌 hope kids of today look back on this and think 'so that's what real music is'
Amazing how much this sounds like the album version. Testament to how good they are live still one of the greatest.
The Cure forever !!
Robert Smith ... no words... The Cure .. no words.. Music that will be timeless. Aliens could land on earth 1000 years from now long after humanity has destroyed itself , find a Cure CD, and they will know that humanity was a wonderful, horrific, violent but peace loving thing. There will never be another "The Cure"
It's cool to see the great bands from the '80s still around a and at the top of their game, it brings back so many memories; it's also nice to see so many 50+ people there. It goes to show that you don't have to be a teenybopper / 20 something to enjoy yourself! Thanks for uploading.
The best concert in my life!!...(The Cure in Santiago de Chile)....Love them forever!!!!!
They played a brilliant set. This is a perfect pop song. I like enthusiasm.
I have loved this band since the 80’s and think it’s great that it’s not just us wrinklies enjoying the music, plenty youngsters singing along too
Timeless masterpiece
until now and forever
The cure we love ❤️🔥
The Cure and Depeche Mode at the same day and at the same time on TH-cam.
Depeche Mode ,who ????
don't forget The Smith's
I WILL ALWAYS LOVE THE CURE!!!!
💜💕💜I got to see the Cure last year...the most expensive tickets in my life...and I would do it again!💜
Use esta canción para enseñar a mí hijo los días de la semana en inglés! Gracias!!!! Los amo!! Y cuando vinieron a la Argentina en 2013 los pude ir a ver! Genios!
All hail to our living legend Mr. Robert Smith with his great band *The Cure.* 👏♥🔥
I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday, I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Oh, Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday, I'm in love
Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday, never hesitate
I don't care if Monday's black
Tuesday, Wednesday, heart attack
Thursday, never looking back
It's Friday, I'm in love
Monday you can hold your head
Tuesday, Wednesday, stay in bed
Or Thursday watch the walls instead
It's Friday, I'm in love
Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday, never hesitate
Dressed up to the eyes
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
Throw out your frown
And just smile at the sound
Sleek as a shriek, spinning 'round and 'round
Always take a big bite
It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
You can never get enough
Enough of this stuff
It's Friday, I'm in love
I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday, I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday, break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday, I'm in love
Do-do, do-do, do-do, do
Do-do, do-do, do-do, do
(Oh, oh, whoa, whoa)
Now this is music performed by real artists : )
The intro always makes me smile 🙂
Lol same
My favorite The Cure song!
This song always puts a smile in my face.
Bought the disc when it first came out. Had recordings of older albums. Really underrated group... and love this! The dude "Robert" knows how to sing, and give energy. Amazing how his voice even got better.
will never forget seeing them live
The voice! Wow!!!! My fav band ever!❤️
Truly a classic song from one of Britain's great band.
What you always get from The Cure is 100%.
Such an amazing live band! Every time Ive seen them its been a FEAST
We will get back to this people hang in there 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
masterpiece for everyone
His voice has not changed very much.
for a certain moment, this song is it. if you were alive then, you know it.
The greatest crush I’ve ever had is associated with this song. She has had the greatest life. Without me. I’m happy for her. How’s that for The Cure?
Legendary song for me...Old school fashion
That’s a proper live band ,timeless
The Cure: cool as f**k.
I’m in love of his voice
I went to a cure gig once, turned out to be placebo playing!!
Underrated joke!
You must have been in the control group.
Heh
@@gallig4n48 bruuuuhhh

Eterni The Cure; grazie per le emozioni che ci avete regalato in tutti questi anni. Ad majora semper! Giuliano.
Finally! A Cure
Se me pone la piel de gallina con este temazooo,!!! Grande Robert Smith ✌️🇵🇪 #thecure
Me pasa los mismo
Dormi cantando essa música e hoje ela aparece. This song makes me dance like a fool, so joyful and colourful 💞. Looks like a time travel 40 years back.
HELPP HOW IS HIS VOICE EVEN BETTER NOWW
He is a legend! I am The Cure forever! 😍
One of the few keeping my youth alive and kickin
I am 40 years old almost 41 before the end of my life I want to see a concert in Europa like this one..the banners the kinsfolk the vibe🙏🏼🕉🗣🎯
This song still put a smile on my face :)... Love the Cure! ♥♥♥
Chapeau. I never knew he was actually this good live.
Gawd, we love you, Robert!
I love that the audience love this so much. Makes me happy. Different ages too xx
So amazing to see all these fans!!!! They are so happy!!!
Forever love The Cure.
Robert Smith
What an absolute talent.
I have nothing else to say
It's nice to see young people enjoying this song!
So great. Sad I could not afford to see you this time, but my god…what a band. Thanks guys for all these years of smiles. First record I ever bought was Head on the Door and I never looked back.
I'm proud of him for being here today and getting past his darkness, well done Robert, I saw this live but didn't appreciate it at the time. Now I do.
Love them......boys don't cry
been following them from day one - still one of the greatest bands out there !
I WANT TO BE IN THIS CROWD >
What a great musician 😍😍
that voice is still amazing!
