    If I got one with cracks or damaged wood I'd just replace the wood. If it was really bad I'd get a repro stock and re blue it all too.

    Thanks for the shoutout at the end. Looks good...interested to see if RTI runs any specials for Black Friday. I may end up picking up one of these.

    Your lucky u keep getting British made ones. Both the ones I got from them were Indian reworked.

      About half of the Enfields I got from RTI were made in the GRI factory in India. While I prefer Australian made Enfields, the Indian Made rifles are still very good quality.

      @@tfusilier44 I like mine ...Fr 42 original grade no.1 mk3*. Doesn't have the ishapore reinforcement bolt in the stock.

    im not sure if its relevant with SMLE rifles, but does wood shrinkage in the stocks affect the accuracy of these rifles, or do you see the any stock damage from shrinkage.?? looking forward to your collection videos..cheers.

      I'm not positive but I know the No 1 had some issues with the bedding of the barrel that was fixed with the No. 4.
