- In this Lightroom tutorial, I explore the new Subject Selection Filter and how we can separate the subject from a background in 3 easy steps. Using Radial Filters in Adobe Lightroom, we can bring an image to life and draw focus to the foreground.

This was absolutely game changing for me. I used to always select my subjects, invert and bring down the background to create separation. This is way better. Furthermore, it can actually mimic a back flash for portrait photography like in my weddings. Amazing!
These tips in Lightroom will make my images stand out without all the extra layer work in Photoshop. I love Lightroom and now I have more tools to utilize thanks to your detailed video.
This was brilliant!! So useful, and so straightforward. Thank you!
I don't normally comment on videos but this is actually a very useful and meaningful technique. By creating a seperation like this, it gives a medium format kind of look to the image. It's something that's very difficult to mimic using other techiques. Thanks a lot for sharing :)
I used to throw images from Lightroom to Photoshop to get a less effective and more time consuming similar look. This is amazing thank you for sharing!!!! This'll be such a time saver with better end results!
Great tutorial, I had no idea lightroom’s select subject feature was that good! This will save me some time in Photoshop for sure. Thanks 🙏🏻
Some great tips there thanks. Love the one for the shadow improvement around the person. Never thought of using it that way.
