      I didn't know & I'm glad I found your channel, I have a question my husband who isn't a photographer but has had some experience in photoshop and LR and he took some basic understanding of photography classes in college he says that a photographer shouldn't have to edit every image & should get it right in camera I agree with that but I then told him that editing isn't just used to correct an image anymore it's commonly used to create a style for yourself to set yourself apart...what's you opinion? I mean can you nail a specific lighting or tonal style in camera w/o editing or is some editing necessary to get a specific look you may be going for?

    This is a wonderful technique in Lr/ACR. One thing for my style I'd do a tad differently with the dehaze is add clarity to the halo so it is shaper than the rest of the photo as well, maybe then invert it and decrease the clarity and texture (but just the background, not the subject). Just give it that extra punch to really draw the eyes in. That's just me, but I thank for showing this technique. I love it.

    • @LauraBC
      @LauraBC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally prefer it softer but that’s a great technique too! Thanks for sharing it. It’s all about experimenting with the tool and find the finishing touches we prefer for our work. 😍 Glad you liked the video! :)

      @@LauraBC That's the beauty of all of this, all of us can have the same resource and produce something different and it all be beautiful in it's own way. There is no right or wrong... even if you want to take a black canvas and draw a picture of a black house. Not that anyone else will know the house is there. :D

      I do similar things with Capture One all the time, and it's a bit easier as you can make multiple layers with different masks on each. You can also play around with luma ranges to get some interesting effects, or to limit yours masks to certain levels of brightness or darkness.
