I can't believe how much I just learned in 10 minutes. I didn't just learn steps to achieve an outcome, I learned the purpose of each step and how they work. Amazing!
Absolutely amazing tutorial! I consider myself a pretty advanced editor, but this was actually something completely new to me! All this time I've tried to do these kinds of edits in a way that makes it way more complicated than it probably should be. This really helped me a lot. A big thank you to you Mark!
Thank you for making this video so easy to understand and breaking down each step. I've been feeling inspired to actively record videos, take more pics, and be in my creative mindset as I used to be. This definitely helped me feel more confident about going into this!
You gained a new subscriber! In my opinion, this has been so far one of the best tutorials on how to edit dark moody tones (and I have watched lots!). I followed your steps adding also some personal judgement to some settings, and I loved the results. Thank you!
This is probably one of the most cohesive and understandable tutorials I found. Absolutely love it and I definitely subscribed. Can't wait to learn a lot more from you!
The most easily understandable tutorial I found so far. Now I understand what I'm doing rather than just following the tutorial. Every image needs its own fine-tuned setting and I learned it from you so thank you.
Never have I thought to start in B&W and then add colors after. I feel like this is actually huge to develop your own look. Thank you sir I'm going to give this a try
That exposure correction and desaturation at the start is so simple but such a great starting point for editing, I have no idea why I never stumbled on that myself as I love playing with moody editing. Going to try it out, thanks!
This is great Mark, i went back and re-edited some of my old images with your method and its transformed some photos i had written off as rubbish ! Love your work
I was just about to edit an old photo (inside a pub) to make it look more moody & Googled how to do so. The stars aligned & I discovered your topic on doing so! I am looking forward to watching more of your wonderful videos. Thank you for taking the time to teach the likes of me, a beginner.
Watched this video a few days back and I’m back here to say I’ve implemented it on a couple of photos and it came out nice! Less complicated process. Thank you Mark🙏🏽
Thank you so so much, I’ve been using presets to “try “ and get closer to the moody dark look on certain shots and then tweak from there but now I understand how to be specific for my photos plus making my own style from using no presets. Thanks again.
Greetings from Greece! I just came up on this tutorial today. I really liked the quality of your video! 4K, clean, no noise, nice expalining and the infos are intresting. I do envolve with photography the past 11 years. I find this one here intrestinkg. Have a nice day, Konstantinos.
thank you so much! I was able to craft some awesome dark presets for future shoots. I also learned the process behind it, which was really insightful. Thanks!
This is so helpful. You provided all the important information and why it is important. Everything is straightforward. I love it. I just subscribed and will definitely binge watch your tutorials
wow super straightforward workflow that I believe is going to help me, as u say at the end of the video, to beat the habit of fighting with presets to make them 'kinda' work for each different photo.
What a fantastic tutorial! I’ll be referring to this again…and again to achieve some of my cityscapes. Thank you so much! I’m now following your channel.
I seldom write comments. But I am so grateful for your tutorial that I have no right to be quite. That's really amazing. Please share more your skills and ideas with us.
Love this tutorial! Very informative and to the point with 3 in depth examples and a few with less details. Definitely going to try and edit some of my photos this way for the gram.
For the vignette I have found that just decreasing the natural vignette correction of the lens, especially if you shoot with f1.2 or f1,4, gives really nice effect cause after all it is a natural vignette. Also I think Lr, most of the time, really over-compensates for the vignette anyway.
This is amazing tutorial. especially for non english based people. your accent, voice and sound are very clear to understand. Thanks
Good to hear, Dave. Thanks.
